Nothing wrong with the location (Oley's Armoury), they were prompt and professional. My experience with reserving the truck through Uhaul was extremely long, drawn out and overly complicated. For something as simple as renting a truck ... I was shocked at how poorly run this company seems to be. I had to give credit card info before even knowing whether or not the truck I wanted was available or if I could get it on the dates I needed it for. I had to speak with 3 seperate agents to book 1 vehicle. Was told I would get a call from a 4th agent to verify that I could in fact, get my truck ... that never happened. I had to look into it for myself. Renting Uhaul was an unnecessarily stressful experience that I won't be doing again any time soon.

Gordon HClean the truck, don't make the pick up 45 min further than the original booked picked up and repair the truck. The truck was obviously used for excavation equipment of some sort and was being picked up by someone else right away. There was no waiting to see if the truck was in ill repair. Which it is and was handed off to someone else. I hope nothing bad happened to them.

NICHOLAS WOne thing though, are the ratchet straps. They were old and rusted, I did manage to get them to work, but was a very labor intensive. I had to grease them to get them to work and was questioning how well they would hold up for the 4 1/2 hour trip I had to make. These should be replaced on the unit I had and there should be regular greasing required of them to prevent them from rusting and ceasing. This in my opinion is not necessarily the fault of the location, but of the company overall in terms of maintenance of one-way rentals.

Laura-Lynn WTell them to watch the fees because uhaul calculations vs what reality is, are two different things. The truck I returned was filled more than what it was when I took it, the mileage was not recorded the same way and was charged way more than I should have been. Over $300 for a 24 hour period and not too much travelling considering the estimated was originally $163? Not sure where Uhaul learned how to do math. And I dam well know it wasn’t where I picked up the truck, because they are phenomenal, last I checked.
Christina GI dropped the vehicle off on Saturday March 9th as was agreed to in the rental agreement. I received a phone call on March 13th asking me when I was going to drop off the equipment! The staff at the drop off location were helpful in letting me know where to park the equipment although they were surprised I was there which should not have happened. As well, it is clear they did not take a moment to let uhaul know the equipment was returned.

Philip PThe fact that you can't choose your pick up location is terrible. It was 1.5 hour drive from where I needed the truck to be. Sure they gave me extra miles but I had to pay for the gas.

Didi VBooking in advance needs to improve!!!! ( not from this location IN GENERAL ) leaving booking a trailer 3-5 days before departure doesn’t work when driving 8 hrs away then when you get your rental having to go 45 min passed your town doesn’t work!!! VERY FRUSTRATING AND STRESSFUL!!!!!!!
Mark eEmployees at drop off location were over half hour late. Then they added additional charges without informing me. Overall, U-Haul experience was absolutely horrible. And UNSAFE!!!. Their employees do not care about safety of customer or equipment. Never again!

Bob Mwhen a return is scheduled for a Sunday,if there are other local sites that are open,do not send customers to the one furthest away which is closed.Especially,do not expect customers to be happy if they have to pay extra to drop off when the site is closed

Gina TI booked this trailer online without the safe tow amd ins but when the bill came in, they had added these two ins to my bill. My insurance covers me completely and now I have to fight to get my money back! No one was there at pick up time amd they had to wait. No signage so they had no idea what door to go to. When needed the trailer longer, they said we had to bring it back to get a new contract. Wont rent here again.

Timothy AThe truck was damaged and the lady told us that it was done by previous customer and she is putting that in notes. As we were using U-Haul first time, we asked her specifically that if we need to do something or will there be any issue at drop off location due to this but she said don’t worry nothing will happen and afterwards we have to wait for about one hour due to this issue at drop off location explaining things to people over there. Pathetic

darrell dMy only complaint was that I rented a 6 X 12 trailer and had to manually lift it onto my hitch. It should have had a stand and crank to attach it to my vehicle.
Tyler HThey never cleaned the yard. We got the truck stuck in the middle and had to leave it there. Maybe in future when operating in the winter time, the yard should be plowed and salted according to weather conditions. It’s not easy turning and maneuvering a 26’ truck that you can’t push!
Kristian RI let’s Auctions in Powassan is a perfect example of the worst custservice available. When I first arrived the young lady I had to talk to was on the phone conducting business, the biker dude that worked there was no help at all. After the young lady was off the phone, instead of acknowledging I was there continued on with a coy with the biker dude that was working there, she then did more work on her computer before even a koi was standing in front of her. When she finally decided to talk to me and arrangements were being made, I asked about blankets that had been placed on the order. They had no moving blankets. How can they accept an order without having what is to be supplied? Both her and the gentleman there were ready to give me every excuse as to why they accept an order and can’t fulfill it to how bad it is to deal with uHaul. While I was trying to figure out how to complete my day, while personally calling every uHaul dealer on my route for blanket availability, the original office I booked through, the drop off location called to make sure I was successful with my truck pick up. Even though this office was closed for the day, when I told her I need blankets, she said I have them and will leave them outside for you. This was excellent customer service from someone that had never met me. The Emsdale location offered to do this for me on her day off, while the people in the Powassan location listened to me phoning to find blankets to be able to fill the order they should not have accepted. I do not recommend this location to anyone. If this behaviour is acceptable to uHaul then I will think seriously about using another service provider. Powassan Oleys Auctions should not represent uHaul.
