Probably will not rent from U-haul for a long time, if ever again. The only redeeming quality was the man who assisted with our drop off and although the communication was still rough from u-haul, he found our truck reservation and accommodated us dropping it their for the day which was very considerate.

Shannon SRude attendant came out and yelled at me. I was in a parking spot but I guess it had a baracade (no sign) and he told me those spaces were not to be used. Even though one was handicapped. If you don't want people to park then you need to make it known either by getting rid of parking lines on pavement or finding better way of communicating or blocking area off. I did like that I was able to get gas there before returning.

ROY AInterior needs a bit more cleaning. Every UHaul rental should have a clean interior and exterior windshield at a minimum. Latest rental - interior windshield was dangerously dirty. PB does the bare minimum with every step of rental.

LUIS MThe owners of the gas station have a bad attitude. I'm a male with long hair and they charged me for an extra day and said they don't have time for me to contact uhaul support.

JAMES AEnsure the vehicles are maintained before you allow someone to make a reservation. Have a back up plan for maintenance issues. There was stains and trash in the truck, it wasn’t clean.

SHERIDAN DI picked up the truck at the Sinclair gas station in Pacific Beach. and they said I had a full tank of gas But when I I got home I noticed it was only 3/8 of the tank… I immediately called and they gave me a U-Haul number to call and the lady Was very understanding and noted it on the rentals agreement and when I got to San Jose, the gentleman was very cordial and professional, and didn’t charge me… Point of the story is you need to get that Sinclair stations Shit together.!! Thank you, John
JOHN GThe fuel reading in this location is a scam! The truck was parked on a steep-slope downward on front. Although the staff was saying the fuel gage is at almost "FULL' , prior to driving away, the fuel gage was pointing at 1 notch below FULL. I showed the photo and the staff agreed prior to departure. When I return the truck, I was trying to fuel the truck to 1 notch below the FULL, to match the prior to departure . I ended up fueling 3 times (1.00 Gal, $4.26), (1.52 Gal, $6.50) & (1.23 Gal, $5.25). When I parked the Truck, at the parking spot on the steep-slope where the truck was originally parked before departure, the fuel gage showed "FULL"! Because of the slope, the fuel gage was showing incorrectly prior to departure and because I was fueling on a flat ground, I ended up fueling much more than needed. I complained to the staff and he said, that he can not reimburse me for over-fueling and asked me to contact U-Haul. I strongly believe that U-Haul should reimburse me at least $10 for over-fueling due to the reasons described above. Btw, the truck was dirty and the parking-break-release was broke, daggling. Awadh AThis has been my worst experience with U-Haul ever. The van was a complete mess inside. It looked like it was a beach was so much sand in the back and the front of the van. The tires had no air pressure in them nor was there any windshield wiper fluid. I had to dump in my own windshield wiper fluid that I had at my home so I could see out of the front window. This was extremely a horrible experience.
William PI initially went to a different location at 1885 Garnet Ave and had a really difficult time with sales and service and was very grateful that when I made my reservation online (after a bad experience at the other place) that it sent me to the Sinclair store instead because the service was 1000 times better! I felt very confident in the entire experience and everyone was super helpful. I will for sure be renting from there again when I need it, it was so easy.

Donna SThis location and the worker were great. The rest of this review is for UHaul overall: I booked a 15 foot truck about a month before my move and even booked movers associated with U-Haul (that were great), but it seems U-Haul knows how to take reservations easily just not keep them (Which is the most important part). Less than 24 hrs before my reservation I was informed that the size truck I reserved was not available until 10am at a location 20 min further away. Even though I booked movers through U-Haul at 8:30am. After much back and forth I was able to book a 10 ft truck at the original location I wanted just without the dolly I originally booked. Seems super unorganized and will use a different moving service in future because of how much added stress this caused me the day before my move

Will WVery disappointed. Pick up location not where the reservation showed. Received the email of change location after I was sent to a new location-20 minutes out of the way in the opposite direction. Only 1/4 tank of gas at pick up. Driver side mirror loose and looked at the ground. Had to roll down window to move mirror to change lanes for the 480 miles. Unsafe and frightening. When I mentioned the mirror The pickup location asked if the mirror was loose. Scary to think U-Haul doesn’t maintain safety protocols.

Nancy NI was told the van I reserved was not available. I instead had to rent a truck that was more expensive. Given that u haul guarantees your rental reservation will be there, this was an extremely frustrating. Only giving two stars instead of one because the guy helping me was nice.
Nathan KSite was friendly, but I reserved a truck, furniture dollies and pads at Clairemont Mesa location. Was on time to pick up the truck, but the customer service rep told me he didn't have a truck at that time, but should a couple hours later. I scheduled the truck a week in advance, and he said there wasn't anything he could do, as it was up to the person returning the truck. (I drove to San Diego from Orange County and had to return by that afternoon so that I could attend my son's graduation at UCSD). He called PB Sinclair who had a truck and moved the reservation there. I was instructed to "call" on my way there to confirm they had a truck, which they did. When I arrived, the person was helpful, but asked me if I had picked up my dollies and pads, and I said no, I thought it was supposed to be available at the new location (no extra supplies are available at PB Sinclair). Why didn't the U-Haul rep give them to me there, or let me know that the other location didn't have them?) The PB Sinclair rep took them off of the rental, but it made it more difficult to move my son's studio apartment. The truck was dirty on the outside (windshield was dirty and both windows had streaks and dirt on them. Truck was in acceptable condition other than that. When I arrived at the apartment complex, I went to open the lift, and it was padlocked. Had to call to request the code. I was told that it must have been left on there by the last customer. Thankfully, PB Sinclair was able to find the code and I was able to unlock the lift and move my son. Not the best experience with U-Haul this trip!

Amir FThe claimed they didn’t have the dolly I had on my order. After looking in a few trucks I found a dolly. They were lazy and of no help.
DOUGLAS PI specifically paid for a hand dolly and there was none in the uhaul or the store. When I made the reservation it said it was available. This made moving twice as hard and take twice as long, and I would’ve made other arrangements if I knew there wasn’t one available before hand.

Jerad HI was charged for 3 gallons of gas ($30) after drop off. I drove 10 miles and put 1.5 gallons of gas back into the Uhaul at drop-off. Surely my mileage was not 2 miles a gallon... It feels sleazy and suspicious.
