Truck had tire pressure warning light and check engine lights on when we started it. No one to assist on a Sunday so I called main UHaul number who apparently doesn’t know about trucks and couldn’t tell me whether it was safe to drive. They advised that we called roadside assistance (in UHaul lot before leaving) or try to fill the tire ourselves. We opted for the latter and the light never went off after bringing rear right tire up to same pressure as others. What a ridiculous situation to be put in. There were about 5 other trucks of the same size there and another 10 of other sizes… they couldn’t give us one without maintenance problems!? On top of that they did not provide the shipping pads/blankets that I ordered so I had to make a trip to get some elsewhere, at my mileage expense of course. I had confirmed everything on Friday including blankets so there is no excuse. I’ll never use UHaul again when there are simpler more reliable choices everywhere.

PAUL TWhen I originally filled out the paperwork online I requested the Morristown U-Haul location on MLK Rd, and I have the email with the confirmation number that states that. I only found out the morning of that I was somehow changed to Madison, which is further away. This added mileage to my move that I had to pay for, as well as took time away from my move. I was not happy about any of that. The people at the Madison location were nice and helpful, however the issue with my reservation being moved made me really unhappy. I would not recommend U-Haul to friends of mine if this is how the business is run.

AVIVITH OTruck was so clean and new. I was very surprised. The customer service man was very nice. Address given was 300, but shopping plaza sign it’s located in says 306, so had trouble finding the place.
EDWARD PThe U-Haul van was dirty and smelled of urine. I personally cleaned it and they charged me for cleaning saying it had garbage in the front cabin. I have pictures of the return and that is not true. They are in the process of refunding my $25.00 cleaning fee.
LISA BI was given a dolly with a flat tire. I didn’t use it. When I dropped the dolly back off I asked if I could be refunded since I didn’t use it. They said yes. The receipt I received for the final charge had the dolly rental on it. Now I am working to dispute this which takes time and energy and frustration. Suggestion for improvement: simply make sure your equipment is operational; and certainly before giving to a paying customer…and do what you say you will do.

STEVEN SIt was a pack and ship store location so it was a little strange dropping off a 26 foot truck in a parking lot that can only handle normal size vehicles. Other than that the person that helped me out was very nice and professional, and the transaction went very quickly. Just a little confusing coming into the parking lot. It’s a little tight with a large vehicle.

MONNELLA LEasy drop off, the only draw back was the drop of was all the way in the back of the building, far from the store. I was lucky to have someone who followed me to drive me back up to the store. It's a busy shopping center so there really isn't any other place to leave the rental. Staff in the store were very nice.

Cyra GLocation was good. However, they didn’t have the dolly which paid for and didn’t tell us it wasn’t there. So I had to go to a different U-Haul store add miles to my drive and rent another dolly. This ended up taking my a lot more time and adding miles to the U-Haul which increased the overall price by well over $15.

Donna BThe van I rented was disgustingly dirty and smelled HORRIBLE inside! The van looked (and smelled) as if it was never cleaned. The inside was filled with dirt, mud, dog hair and ironically smelled like "wet dog" inside. The windows were so dirty, I had to clean them to be able to see out of them. The check-out app requires that the customer inspect the vehicle before leaving with it. This is the responsibility of UHaul, not the customer and not withstanding, some of the pictures in the series were pictures of another van, not the one I was renting.
Scott HIt was a lot more complicated than any other locations for U-Haul apps. I’ve been to different towns and it’s been quite easier than the Madison location, which was my first time using.

Richard BI purposefully chose self check in, however, when I got there thsi was not an option and I had to wait in line. I attempted to explain that I not only chose the self check in but had completed and asked where the keys and truck where. The gentleman then stated that he had to verify me as the driver with my DL. even as I explained the online check in had already done so. He was not only condecending but rude as he told me regardless I had to wait because he had to help another customer who arrived after I did. After eventually getting his attention he saw my check-in on my phone and gave me the keys without having to verify. Unfortunately the trucks are not near the store but on the opposite side of the back of the strip mall. When I asked was just told "behind staples" So I had to walk in the cold by myself to find it. As a person this makes me sad, worried and scared. Unfortunately as a woman I have to worry about my surroundings and having to find a truck in the back of a lot that is isolated, with a forest in the back and little supervision or safety procedures in place when getting and dropping cars off (had to walk back to drop keys) is non existen, even in a town that is relatively safe. Aside from that no directions on key drop off and when I sttempted to follow the prompts on the drop-off box (uhaul.com/
