Kenneth LAfter-hours drop-off - no personnel on site. By the way, I'm starting to hate the self-drop-off; it takes far too long and is hard to see on my phone screen in daylight. I also have to zoom in to read the small scrip.

The reservation process was easy, editing the reservation when we realized we needed a bigger van was so simple, and the representative that I spoke with to extend our rental was so nice and helpful - smooth transactions like this are very much appreciated by small businesses like us.
MATTHEW MI dropped off after close. Had to call twice the next morning to make sure they'd checked in my return; an email or text confirmation would have put my mind at ease but I'm not sure if this is on the drop off place or uhaul in general.
JESSICA VThe corner store in Waterboro are very nice people, but they did impute the wrong day and the wrong time. I did correct the day but when I asked them about the time, they said that was just a generic imputed time. Lol I think they need just a little bit better training over there! Good thing I noticed the day because it was three days off from our actual moving date so just make sure you have your day and corrected before you leave the store. Thank you.

KABONGO SI had a 9am reservation. I waited In the lot for 30 minutes for the only U-Haul employee to show up. When moving, every minute counts esp when you rent the truck for a certain duration!! By the time I got the snow off my U-Haul which took another 15 minutes, the truck’s “check engine” light was on!!!!! I had To wait another 10 minutes for the U-Haul employee to find a key for another truck! Then, I get to my destination and realize the employee never put the appliance dolly I ordered in the truck, but I still Got charged for it!!!! Won’t be back.

FERN DExperience was awful. Made online reservation for mobile pick-up. Facility didn’t check to see their inventory in the morning and didn’t leave keys out. Had to call customer service and was sent inside. Despite completing online check-in, they lost everything and took more than half an hour to get us checked out. They said their “internet was down.” Manager was rude. Charged us for gas that the previous customer didn’t fill - we filled it up to where it was at the start. Would never rent from here again. Would like compensation.
Christopher MWhen returning, the app just showed a spinning wheel when I was uploading after pictures and location. I waited for 10 minutes as it was “uploading” and finally had to leave. I checked my email and it said return was complete, but the app never actually made it past the photo upload screen so I never got that confirmation in app. Otherwise location was great and people were prompt and friendly.
JEREMY NThe blankets, dolly, and furniture cart I ordered were not included. The lock on the back door did not work. The passenger side door does not shut properly and the the drivers side door does not lock at all. I rented the truck overnight and was unable to secure a loaded truck because none of the locks worked. Luckily nothing came of it. I’ve moved/rented a lot of UHauls throughout the years and this is BY FAR the WORST experience I’ve had. 0-10 starts. Would NOT recommend this location.

Bryan WI reserved my truck in waterboro, maine and had to pick it up in portland maine. Was very unhappy with that. That was an extra hour of my time to go and pick up the truck.
KIRK BWe’ve always had a great experience with uhual until this rental experience. We called ahead to reserve an enclosed trailer and explained that we wanted to drop it off at a different location, they clearly explained that cost and we scheduled the pickup. Only upon arrival did they explain that we could not return it somewhere else, and that it must be returned to this location (an hour drive from our destination). This was a very inconvenient situation so I reached out to corporate to figure out why and they explained that it was a trailer owned by the store, and that it had to be returned to the store we rented it at. It makes sense, but had they been clear upon scheduling the pickup that it could only be returned to that store, we would have looked for availability at a different location and saved ourselves an extra two hours on the backside of our stressful moving situation.
Glenn FPick up here was wonderful, after a terrible experience at UHaul in Saco. Saco moved our booked reservation to Brunswick without telling us. We drove 3 hours from out of state and they turned us away. They were rude, unhelpful, and uncaring. Saco was the worst UHaul service we have ever had. I called Tom in Portland, who found the last truck available, and he was the absolute most helpful, along with Paper Party. We were so grateful to Tom and Paper Party. We had an emergency, and they were helpful, kind, considerate, and caring.
JEFFREY BWe don’t move often - a little guidance from the staff would have been nice. We are experienced towers but every hitch has its own idiosyncrasies. The staff hooked it up with no instruction. Actually just a little conversation would have been nice. He checked the lights, said ‘you’re all set’ and walked back into the store. We were clearly bothering the guy. We were told a rep would contact us the night before pick up, did not happen. We received a text the day before saying our pick up location needed to be changed because the equipment could not be guaranteed at our chosen location. Inconvenient to say the least, especially when we reserved it nearly two weeks prior to ensure the equipment would be where we wanted. As if moving is not stressful enough but change our preferred pick up location? The app requested we approve the pics upon pick up. Photos did not load even though we were viewing in the suggested landscape mode. Had to approve a blank white box with a ? In it.

DAVID SI want to suggest that a more in-depth cleaning be done of the truck cabins between rentals. This would be welcomed by customers and set U-Haul apart from other rental truck rental companies.

JIMI MYour Warren Ave. staff is superb. Friendly and efficient. I got the vehicle I wanted and at a reasonable price. My only suggestion is to offer cargo vans as a one-way option, and of course to lower prices! I love being able to deal with a person rather than an app (that never works anyway).

STEVEN LThe truck was dirty. The inside the windshield was so dirty. It was hard to see when the sun glared against the window, the truck was raggedy. The truck was running funny, and the engine light was on, and they still told me to go ahead and take it. The truck idle up and down, and sometimes wouldover idle .. This truck was not a safe truck, but they insured me that this truck was OK and the engine light was only a gas cap issue, that was bullshit . what a junkie truck and bad experience overall driving this truck.
MARK GThere were joints in a ash tray under the seat. Once I got to New York it started to rain and the cab leaked all over by bag and me. I have pictures and videos of every time it rained. I was a horrible trip

This was incredibly frustrating. Again, not this locations fault but made our experience with uhaul very frustrating.

Robert GThe two Chains to secure the vehicle to the Auto Transporter were both broken and didn't function. The right Side Strap was frayed and cut short rendering it entirely useless. Once Discovered, I stopped in Warren Ohio to see if a Uhaul Dealer could help but they said, "No". They did give me free a strap a previous customer left behind to use to hold the right side of the vehicle down.

PADRAIG OI did not interact with anyone at this location as I arrived after hours. Using the mobile return was a terrible experience. I had the app installed and had full service, but it crashed several times and would not upload my photos. I had to use my partner’s phone to complete the return. I have an iPhone and he has an android. I also had issues with the app crashing when trying to reserve a truck and when trying to confirm the rental truck’s status when I picked it up. I completed the “before you go” survey only to have it inform me the link had “expired” when I went to submit it. I also had an issue where I entered a family member’s phone number to make him an authorized driver but he did not receive the link for several hours. Overall a very frustrating experience using mobile services.
