unfortunately i was charged for safemove, which i had previously declined. this might have been caught before the rental if i had been given a copy of the rental agreement and charges when i showed up to pick up the truck. not a big deal but unfortunate.

Savas EEvery time I return the truck, it’s after hours, so there’s no one available to speak with. Yet every single time, I get charged a $50 cleaning fee on the receipt — even though I return the truck completely clean. I’ve called the office number listed on the paperwork multiple times, but no one ever answers. This has become a pattern, and it’s not acceptable. I expect this issue to be reviewed and the repeated $50 charges to be refunded or stopped going forward.

GLADYS TReservation and pickup was great, the truck itself wasn’t. No traction in a light rain. Shocks were completely gone. Check Engine light was on. Tank was just over 1/4 full.

WENDY MThe person was rude and argued with customer! He pushed us away of the store and showed very very poor customer service. I do not recommend renting from this uhaul location. I have never experienced this kind of aggressive rudeness and unprofessionalism from a service provider. So arrongant and boasting of owning the place and refusing to provide service to a respectful customer!
GNANI RLove the location and the employee I brought up my situation with, even though I used mobile pickup. Only gripe is the parking is 1 hour on the street so I had to uber/lyft over to the location. not sure about parking in the lot - did not want to risk a ticket either way.
Franklin TI’ve rented a lot of uhauls over the years but this was the best experience ever. Clean trucks, easy pick-up and return and smiling faces. 10 stars!
JAMES OThe location is very convenient, and equipment are great, good customer service so no issue with the location, but the pick up after hour is very unclear. Since there was no instruction provided prior, i thought the process would be 10-15mins; confirm you arrive, get the code, get the key, take general pictures of the truck, fuel/mileage for your own records, confirm you pick up the truck, and drive off. The actual process is you have to take picture of your face (and it is very selective, so you need to have good lighting if you do this early morning or later at night), take picture of license, front and back, make payment. You then need to wait for someone from Uhaul to review and approve. Then they give you the id of the truck and you have to locate it in the parking lot. Then they give you the code, and you need to walk back to the uhaul store entrance to access the lockbox for the truck key. Then, you come back to the truck in the parking lot. Then, you need to take picture of the mileage, take picture of the front, rear, sides. The app sent me to the return truck portion (i think I clicked on their safe move insurance option link and it somehow put me into the return portion when i came back to the app) and only found out when i called for assistance. In the truck, there is no basic manual for headlight, wiper, emergency light, side mirror adjustment, parking brake; the placement and how they operate are very different than your normal passenger car; these could be improved by a simple how-to guide, or a youtube video. I tried looking up the truck beforehand but there were some youtube videos but nothing specific. The check in with license, photo id, could be handled as a pre check-in; i don't see why it must be done at time of check in and not sooner. This entire process took over an hour; most of the time were wasted looking on Google for help operate the truck, troubleshoot what the app wants, waiting for a service rep. I can see most of these issues are not applicable for regular hour pick up since you have a live person to ask questions but i don't see why it cannot be resolved with a short how-to video and pre check-in.
Vinh LI never heard from the location that my vehicle was ready so I waited an hour to pick it up and it was my move day so everything got delayed by an hour. And I had to go to a location that was 45 minutes out of the way instead of go to the location that I requested, which was in the neighborhood that I was moving. It was a terrible experience and made my moving day go wrong.
Elizabeth TAlmaharmeh does an amazing job with customer service. He's patient, fast, and knows his craft. He answered all my questions and concerns. The location was convenient. The van was clean and easy to drive. I was expecting to pay much more but I saved a few hundred dollars from the u-hual deal. Thank you Almaharmeh and u-haul!!! You made my first moving experience trouble-free. :-)

JUNO SThe attendant was not very helpful and only wanted to do the bare minimum. In the past they have overcharged me for fuel and it seems to be a common practice here. This time the fuel was again overestimated at check-in but I chose mobile check in and took many photos to prove that the gas was lower. This place seems shady so you have to protect yourself.
WING LI am sure I was charged at least three times for the same items. Also, that truck was awful. The air conditioning did not work, it should be illegal to rent that truck. It had no ramp to bring up items. And the windows needed to be manually rolled down. I am sure the man in the front was racially profiling me and that’s why he gave me the worst truck that was parked the farthest away when there were plenty of trucks in better condition. Just a bad experience.

DOUGLAS CI added a dolly to my rental few hours before the pickup and I didn’t get it. I guess I am charged on that too. I haven’t gottem any time to call customer support and ask for a refund but will do it this week.
FNU PReally for a first time UHaul'er I was so impressed. I arrived prior to the office opening, but I found the online verification and vehicle access really easy to navigate. A great experience. One small thing, the GPS location would not work on my Samsung Phone but luckily I was with a partner that had an apple device. That was minor for us. Thank you.

CHAOQUN HBack tire popped in route to first destination. With four tires at back the other three got me there. And fortunately I got Safemove. They got to me in the estimated hour and replaced the tire in about 15 min. No surprise charges. Nothing to criticize. Well done U-Haul!

MOHAMMEDAZMATH PTerrible service at this place. Very angry man. Did not allow to throw a couple of boxes in the recycle. Did not help in any way. In general I can not even give him one star because he deserved zero!!!

Craig BStore location is great...easy access, safe area, staff was very friendly and efficient...great customer service. The biggest issue I had with the vehicle was the smell: appears that someone had tried to cover up an existing bad odor by using large amounts of auto freshener. I had to keep both windows open during use as the musky smell was triggering my allergies (runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, etc.).

Adrian BThis experience was awful. There was no one at the store for us to pick up the truck. Had to contact U-Haul representatives on the phone who then tried to get a hold of the owners to no avail. Luckily the district manager, Brian (who was great btw!) was near by and was able to get me the keys to the truck. Unfortunately I didn’t get the truck until 1:00 pm, an hour after I was supposed to get it. I had to reschedule my movers which cost money and it ended up pushing back my entire move by hours. We were supposed to be done by 4 pm to move and because of this, we didn’t end up getting out of SF until 8 pm. The whole day was stressful and a shit show and it made me rethink using U-Haul again ever.
Debora FKareem manually processed and fulfilled my reservation because the entire system was down all day on June 2nd, 2025. He did this for everyone behind me so U-Haul could keep its reservation commitments to its customers. Kareem accomplished this in a calm, efficient, effective and courteous way. He provided much more than great customer service. He created customer delight! Thank you. RICHARD II ordered a dolly but was told they didn’t have any. I was still charged for it. Then when I returned the truck at 1pm the store was closed with a sign back at 1pm. I went to have lunch and came back at 1:40 and still closed.

KEITH SThis location has a low rating, but ignore it. Staff was very helpful, friendly and reasonable. Even got into a discussion with them about it. Issue is the customers, not the store. Customers have unrealistic expectations. They arrive hours late and expect their reservation to still be waiting for them. They expect waivers of basic maintenance on the trucks like return fuel cost and damage. People really need to grow up and stop being entitled children. Act like an adult and you'll be treated like one. Act like a child and you'll be treated accordingly.
DAVID FHaving a key drop near the parking spots would be helpful. It is basically the other side of the parking lit and not super obvious where to park. I went after hours, so no one was there to help.
