The uhaul truck reeked of cigarette smoke and the turn signals/hazard lights were so dim they might as well have not worked. The driver side door handle also barely worked. This truck NEEDS to be fixed and cleaned before being available.

Horrible experience - this needs to be solved ASAP. Charged with no reason given for “missing/damage fee” and won’t pick up the phone when I call to inquire. I will be doing a chargeback with American Express.

This location has a low rating, but ignore it. Staff was very helpful, friendly and reasonable. Even got into a discussion with them about it. Issue is the customers, not the store. Customers have unrealistic expectations. They arrive hours late and expect their reservation to still be waiting for them. They expect waivers of basic maintenance on the trucks like return fuel cost and damage. People really need to grow up and stop being entitled children. Act like an adult and you'll be treated like one. Act like a child and you'll be treated accordingly.

Having a key drop near the parking spots would be helpful. It is basically the other side of the parking lit and not super obvious where to park. I went after hours, so no one was there to help.

The agent wasn't at his desk when we arrived and we waited 20-30 mins for him to randomly arrived from somewhere. As you might imagine people moving are on a time crunch so waiting that amount of time adds to stress. Also they only had one dolly, of the two types, I reserved. And finally while this wasn't this locations fault, your website allows people to reserve from one location and then you get a call later telling you that location isn't available. This is 2025, if your website team can't figure out location inventory with a high degree of prediction accuracy you should fire them and find people who can, it was pretty sad.

What I didn't know was about the fine for not arriving at the indicated time. I was 15 minutes late and they charged me a $20 fine. I booked for 11 am and arrived at 11:15... that's all, the rest is okay.

Customer service was close to none. We booked a 1pm pickup but only one person was working and they closed the shop at 1pm until 2pm. All the additional accessories were not available until the person returned at 2pm. Our questions were answered by a dismissive attitude and there was no attempt at assisting us.

Overall excellent rental. The new vans have a smooth ride with plenty of horsepower. The rear camera when backup is a bonus. Mobile pickup and drop off is extremely convenient since we picked up and dropped off in the evening.

There was a half smoked cigarette, candy wrapper, and empty sports drink bottle under the drivers seat. The van was also unlocked in the back and the drivers side. In general not particularly clean but I was able to use it for what I needed.

Fumigate the cabs to get rid of the smokers smell. My U-Haul truck stunk very badly from cigarettes. You should charge extra for people who smoke in the trucks cuz that's extra time and money you guys would put in to freshen them up

The guy at the front desk charged me double,even i put more gas than previous gauge. I supposed get charge 80$ and this guy charge me $180..charged me fuel fee and 7 gallons even i put more than the previous,be aware when u pick up a rental at 47 cambon at san francisco,the guy his fucking rude not helpful at all and try to scam costumer.i report these incede to the costumer service

I have called 2 times for someone to take care of the utter fiasco that is this rental. They charged me for 2 days I only had it for 3 hours. The uhaul They gave me wouldn't start so they gave another 1 with no fuel so we out fuel and they charged us for fuel. We only had it 3 hours returned it during business hours they charged us after hours. I CALLED 2 times no one will help. AT THIS POINT I WANT A FULL REFUND I have rented all across the US for 30 years THIS BY FAR THE WORST PLACE. THEY R SCAMMERS. MASSIVE SCAMMERS

Terrible. Reservation did not get secured, even though it was made in advance. Seems like no one works at this location even during business hours. Customer service gives you the run around and you still end up calling multiple times to have the things corrected.

UHaul is an abomination of a company. You guys promised a 20” truck, and I was only able to get a 10” truck at a further location without any of the dolleys or extra moving equipment I paid for. Refund was not issued despite multiple attempts, I will never be using uhaul again.

The u-haul website is not well constructed. I was unable to upload pictures of the truck on my phone. Thus, I was unable to check-out the truck without assistance from the u-haul rep on site. She also did not have a phone that could upload photos to your site and had to fetch a colleague from a neighboring business and we used her phone. I suspect that other customers have this issue. This was a big inconvenience that will make me think twice about using u-haul next time. Please redesign your website to make it work for all users.

I didnt get a clean uhaul. There was pepsi cup and straws and pumpkin seeds on the floor. When deopping off the uhaul, I had to hide the dolly with some plastic bag so nobody breaks in to steal the dolly and I was charge for $25 uhaul cleaning fee as if Ibgot the truck clean to begin with

Fix your web site. I spent too much time trying to upload my CDL. The site kept defaulting to 2025 for my birth date. Thank god you have real people working the counter. That was a big plus. They were very helpful.

It convenient to where I live and the young man who helped me was very pleasant and helpful. My issues are his fault. 1. The truck had about a 1/4 of gas. This is my second rental from this location and second time with this level of fuel. The customer before me was also advised he had about a 1/4 tank of gas. 2. The large right side view mirror was missing. Luckily the convex mirror was still there. 3. The appliance dolly was not available. Other than that, it was a painless and smooth transaction.

Gas gauge in the contract was higher than I received the truck. It ghas less than a quarter tank. The guy didn’t explain anything to me or tell me i had to take pictures when I received the truck. Then had the audacity to ask questions about the instructions he never gave. Also they didn’t have the furniture dolly and mats i requested. Also got charged more than my initial contract and the guy apparently gave me a discount. How did I get a discount but still paid more. Makes no sense. Anyways not recommending this location.

Check out process using UHaul’s online site/app was cumbersome. You were required to take pics yourself but site/app had issues so couldn’t do so. If UHaul wants confirmation of current state of vehicle before driving off lot, needs to actually work. Or have employees do a walkthrough with customer.
