George MThe truck I rented stank like feet and homeless people. This was the second truck I checked out because the first one had the same nasty stink. Really disappointing as I felt I would puke while driving it for 4 hours. You really need to deep wash your vehicles from the inside. The vehicle I got had only 15K km on it and felt terrible.

Rodolfo SI had reserved a dolly and when we arrived at 9am there were none left. The person assisting us also did not say we weren’t allowed to park there and we got a parking ticket. Terrible service.
MADELINE PWe arrived on the day to pick up our TRUCK, and had ordered Dollys and Furniture Dollys, and a bunch of Funtiure Covers, we arrived at 9:30 and they had none of the required ordered, So we drove to antoehr location 30 mins away, which then also had only ONE of each of these.

Changed my entire move’s plans because I had to go back to pickup location then get back to where I was moving too + incur distance changes as well. Kyle KThe dolly and 10x moving blankets that I had previously reserved had been given to someone else upon my arrival. The interior of the van and dashboard were covered in thick layers of dust. It appears to not have been cleaned for many months.

As to why I would recommend this location. it's not like there are a ton of places to rent trucks, and this one is downtown making it fairly convenient to get to.

Jeffrey BI reserved a furniture dolly that was critical to our move which was not at the location. I ended up having to source and purchase a dolly. I was told by the attendant that they only have a couple dollys and it’s first come first serve which should not be the case if it is reserved with our reservation. The van had clearly not been cleaned at all. There was garbage , a baseball cap and dirty Kleenex in the van. I would not rent from this location again.
Kate FI got charged $20 more for the insurance that I didn’t choose to pay. When I called customer service I was told some locations don’t ask for insurance and they charge automatically which doesn’t make sense. I had my insurance and could have uses that one. I also got $10 more for fuel that I’m pretty sure the fuel tank indicator was on 3/4 and I brought back it the same level. Very poor customer service.

Shelley DHire more staff. Your staff were working SO hard and couldn’t keep up with the demand. There were simply so many customers. We were eventually all taken care of. But it’s disheartening to see a rental facility with only one staff member. Hire more people so they don’t burn out and your customers don’t feel like they are overburdening the one person working.

David MPickup was fine although the representative was overwhelmed with people picking up and returning so he wasn’t super helpful. Didn’t know what CAA was when I asked about corporate discounts, o feel like most vehicle-related businesses have heard of CAA? .
Michael TI wanted to return my truck early (I have the app and it is a 24 hour location) but the location was completely full of trucks, parked all the way out and completely blocking the sidewalk on a major street (college st). I had to find and pay for separate parking overnight because of this. I found out after picking up my items and driving, that the back door had completely opened itself up all the way. I hope I didn't spill anything onto the roads, and I chalked it up to my error. However, the next day when I went to return, I double checked to make sure it was closed and latched, and to my surprise, it was actually open all the way by the time I got to drop it off. It is a miracle that my stuff didn't all fall out onto the street. These two issues caused me significant stress and cost me extra money associated with this uhaul location. I will not be renting from this location again.

Ron DThe unit was delivered to me with no gas at all, the least they could have done is leave at least 1/4 gas. Also although the truck worked good, it felt a little old and used.
Werner MThe laneway leading to the rental area and lot was dirty and filled with garbage and debris. I had to drive over a fallen temporary fence to leave the lot. There was no office or desk and employees were not uniformed so I didn’t know who was a company employee. Employee said I had to use the online return system even though he was not doing anything and could have inspected the vehicle himself and done the car return. The online return system worked but was time consuming. It would be fine after hours, but when an employee is right there doing nothing, it was frustrating.

MARK LI wouldn’t say the location is inviting but it’s got a big lot, so it’s practical for when you want to drop off a truck in downtown Toronto. The attendant was friendly and the drop-off was easy.
Bruno FYou charged me almost $60 I don’t have for gas and I returned it with the same amount I picked it up with. Plus it was very low when I picked it up anyways which forced me to navigate city streets for gas after I got it. For that alone, I wouldn’t reuse your service. Which is too bad because the people and phone support were really great, which sadly is hard to find. So big negative on specifics but the people element which carries the most weight… is a huge positive. Side note on question of clean truck. I did answer yes but the back did have a lot of debris I had to clean out. Cab was clean.

Steve PClean up the entrance, absolutely disgusting. As well as, I was provided a U-Haul with 20km of gas left.. this rental is downtown Toronto with min gas station locations near by.. barely made it to a station in time to fill up.. Prior to this recent booking.. the Last time I used this location they cancelled my rental 2 minutes AFTER my time of pickup and still charged me for it.

First time they canceled my truck (different location) Second time I had plan pick up at one location close to my location but then was told to go to an other location across the city this was extremely out of our way and was inconveniented. I had to arrange a ride to go to other location. Was very upset. Bad service.
Jeffery HCar park full when dropping off and customer service wouldn’t help in any way. Only option was to drive it home and then drop it off the in the morning or decide myself to park it on the sidewalk and risk getting it towed at my expense. Terrible service.

LAURIE RThere needs to be someone managing the parking lot. I was stuck in the lot for over an hour returning my vehicle because some people did not pull all the way in to park and there was not enough space for all the trucks that needed to park there.

INGRID FAbsolutely unacceptable experience. U-Haul charged me over $1,300 for damage that was already present when I picked up the truck. The tailgate was visibly dented — I took a photo as proof and called their office immediately (it was closed at the time). Despite this, they still billed me for it. I did everything right as a customer: documented the damage, attempted to report it, and returned the vehicle on time. Instead of acknowledging this, they hit me with an outrageous fee. It feels like they're preying on customers who don’t document every scratch. This is either negligence or a scam. I will never use U-Haul again — and I’ll be warning others to take photos, make calls, and avoid their services whenever possible.
Conor HMy experience renting a truck at this location was seamless. The attendant was very helpful guiding me through the process, the vehicle was clean and in great condition, the applicable charges were clearly stated and any additional options explained. I would recommend this location to others and consider using it again in the future.
YOLANDA SThe location was blocked by Construction with pylons. Due to the level of noise the construction workers attention could not be made in reasonable time and I was aggressively honked at while trying to enter. When you knew there was construction (they advised me that you were made aware and shortened your hours) you should've closed up completely OR advised customers with a reservation. I had to go around the block 3 times to finally arrive then wait 15 addl mins while the other person helped and another few minutes trying to find a van that wasn't filthy - they all were. I sent a complaint to reverse the $19.95 rental rate and got an email response that has 3 links in it and all it does is take me to the login screen for uhaul and nothing further. Very frustrating.
SHEILAh MThe truck was filthy, I couldn't put my things in without them getting dirty, even the front was dirty. The least you can do is clean them before renting them. What's more, the front brakes clearly need to be revised: the steering wheel shakes as soon as you apply the brakes.
Salim AThis location has been a pain every time. I am a disabled wheelchair user for context. I had to wait 20 mins in the cold to pick up my vehicle. There was only one staff to help 5 customers. When returning- there was no staff on site on a Monday. The location entrance was blocked by city vehicles. I circled 3 times searching for an alternate entrance. Despite calling multiple times, U-Haul could do nothing about this blockage either or offer an alternative entrance or offer to change my drop location without a fee. I had to park on a busy city street and hurt myself walking to talk to city workers myself to access the entrance. This took about 45 mins in the cold and harmed my body. Do not recommend this location if you want a fast pick up/drop off experience.

Adnan NThere is no office type space for the Uhaul employee to work in, just an empty parking lot. There is a portable there but it is not useable because of power or something. There is a lot of garbage build up around the key return box, which makes it a bit annoying to get to. The guy that works there though is always around when you need him and very nice and helpful. I wish he had some shelter.

DAVID NPathetic! Drove 8kms, charged me 19litres fuel and after complaint they brought it down and said I used 7 litres. For 8kms it should hardly be 2 litres, while the amount is trivial, the resolution and customer service is poor!
ROHIT KThis location should not be operating. It is grossly understaffed. Waited an hour along with MANY other customers. Will never return and have advised everyone I know to steer well clear of ever using it.

George MI rented truck for moving to drive just 12km I payed extra fee, Gus, Cleaning etc ,,,,, extra cost was $75. Even i keep to cleaned and back as same as when I rent.
Hirotoshi TStaff could give better guidance to new renters for the check-out process. The on-line pre-departure checklist is not so clear.
A-ZACHARY SThe parking lot is too full of cars making it incredibly difficult to get out and park the vehicle. The van was not cleaned from the previous user, there was trash and plastic bags littered about the van. The lack of customer service on site was concerning, especially since the van doors are just left open - anybody could just come in and steal the vehicle. I also felt weird that the vehicle key did not have an automatic lock system, it was just the key.

Qilin YJust an FYI, I was pulled over by the police as the plates on the truck were flagged as a stolen vehicle. No drama but definately a stresser. As for below average rating this was due to my reservation being abruptly cancelled the previous week with no communication. This caused me to have to pay a worker as well as having someone on the other end annoyed with our no show.

SEAN LA little hard to see the entrance off College so watch for the alley between the buildings otherwise the team does a great job. Nick texted me to let me know the dolly was unavailable the night before. I was able to rent a dolly elsewhere before the move. Pick-up was fast and easy as was the drop off.
