No complaints, and I do appreciate your flexibility in my returning the vehicle. I know when I called I got an automated response, but it might have made me feel a little bit better if I'd been able to hear from a human that it was OK that I had the vehicle out longer than anticipated. Otherwise, a good, seamless experience - much appreciated! :)

Full fuel tank makes it easier for customer to top up when returning the truck.Bevsuse customer just have to top up till it’s full.Wgen it’s at a diffferent level apart from FULL, customer have to estimate how much to add and it’s quite difficult

Jawwad RMake more 3 seater vehicles available, with a comfortable middle seat- or maybe just a full width bench seat and 3 safety belts. . We were able to get a 3 seater luckily, but the middle seat was very uncomfortable and not many 3 seaters were available.

MITCHELL WI reserved a regular dolly, which was unavailable upon arrival. Had to make do with an appliance dolly, which was the only one left on site, apparently. If there wasn't any, I would've been extremely dissatisfied. Can be hard to get in/out due to the lack of space in the parking.

ARASH SThe starter was broken on the truck that was rented to me. When I brought up the issue on the lot the attendant, Nitesh, told me to “turn it harder” and sent us on our way. Ended up stranded in a parking lot for 2-3hrs waiting for roadside assistance who confirmed the truck was in extremely poor condition and shouldn’t have been rented out. Did not get the errands done that I rented the vehicle for and wasted an entire day dealing with it. Will never use this location again.
Sydney PFirst of all, My reservation was for 9:00 am and I didn’t drive off the lot with the van until 9:45. There was a huge lineup and just two guys working (not their fault at all because they’re trying as best as they can given the circumstances). There was a QR code to scan for a self pick up but that code didn’t work at all. We finally drove off the lot 45 minutes later only to realize once we get to the apartment that the back door of the van is completely jammed and doesn’t open at all. How the hell am I supposed to move all my stuff now without the back door opening?! Well I have no choice because I have places to be so sure let’s squeeze everything through the damn side! I get on the highway to drop a cabinet off at my mom’s house only to view in the back mirror… THE REVERSE LIGHT WAS HANGING BY A THREAD AND COULD’VE BROKEN OFF AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT?!? Holy hell it could’ve killed someone?!? No one checked the vehicle before hand to make sure that was fixed?! What?! And not to mention the entire vehicle itself just felt completely unsafe to be in - constant creaking and weird noises. This was the second time I’ve used U-Haul and it will absolutely be the last. I will be going elsewhere to rent moving vehicle this was the worst experience ever. EVER.

Ben SThe location is very convenient. The issue was to find a rental that was clean. We finally found one. But then I was concerned about the size. For the minivan, the description was that it could hold things for a studio/one bedroom. Having a junior one bedroom, my things didn't fit. Although the clerk checked before I left to see if one of the smaller trucks was available to answer my concern, none were. I had to rent a car again to move the rest of my things outside the city. I also felt cheated, because it wasn't clear how much money per extra kilometer would be charged. I booked online, but then tried calling multiple times to see if anything what I had booked would answer my needs. That was back in April. I was only able to speak with someone the day of the pick up, which really affected my plans. More transparency would be appreciated. I now have a $500 bill versus what I thought would be a maximum of $200. Budget-wise that is not good. So, I might recommend U-Haul to friends if there is more clarity and ability to speak to customer service. I think that's a U-Haul wide issue.

Really disappointing as I felt I would puke while driving it for 4 hours. You really need to deep wash your vehicles from the inside. The vehicle I got had only 15K km on it and felt terrible.

MADELINE PWe arrived on the day to pick up our TRUCK, and had ordered Dollys and Furniture Dollys, and a bunch of Funtiure Covers, we arrived at 9:30 and they had none of the required ordered, So we drove to antoehr location 30 mins away, which then also had only ONE of each of these.

Kyle KThe dolly and 10x moving blankets that I had previously reserved had been given to someone else upon my arrival. The interior of the van and dashboard were covered in thick layers of dust. It appears to not have been cleaned for many months.

As to why I would recommend this location. it's not like there are a ton of places to rent trucks, and this one is downtown making it fairly convenient to get to.

Jeffrey BI reserved a furniture dolly that was critical to our move which was not at the location. I ended up having to source and purchase a dolly. I was told by the attendant that they only have a couple dollys and it’s first come first serve which should not be the case if it is reserved with our reservation. The van had clearly not been cleaned at all. There was garbage , a baseball cap and dirty Kleenex in the van. I would not rent from this location again.
Kate FI got charged $20 more for the insurance that I didn’t choose to pay. When I called customer service I was told some locations don’t ask for insurance and they charge automatically which doesn’t make sense. I had my insurance and could have uses that one. I also got $10 more for fuel that I’m pretty sure the fuel tank indicator was on 3/4 and I brought back it the same level. Very poor customer service.

Shelley DHire more staff. Your staff were working SO hard and couldn’t keep up with the demand. There were simply so many customers. We were eventually all taken care of. But it’s disheartening to see a rental facility with only one staff member. Hire more people so they don’t burn out and your customers don’t feel like they are overburdening the one person working.

David MPickup was fine although the representative was overwhelmed with people picking up and returning so he wasn’t super helpful. Didn’t know what CAA was when I asked about corporate discounts, o feel like most vehicle-related businesses have heard of CAA? .
Michael TI wanted to return my truck early (I have the app and it is a 24 hour location) but the location was completely full of trucks, parked all the way out and completely blocking the sidewalk on a major street (college st). I had to find and pay for separate parking overnight because of this. I found out after picking up my items and driving, that the back door had completely opened itself up all the way. I hope I didn't spill anything onto the roads, and I chalked it up to my error. However, the next day when I went to return, I double checked to make sure it was closed and latched, and to my surprise, it was actually open all the way by the time I got to drop it off. It is a miracle that my stuff didn't all fall out onto the street. These two issues caused me significant stress and cost me extra money associated with this uhaul location. I will not be renting from this location again.

Ron DThe unit was delivered to me with no gas at all, the least they could have done is leave at least 1/4 gas. Also although the truck worked good, it felt a little old and used.
Werner MThe laneway leading to the rental area and lot was dirty and filled with garbage and debris. I had to drive over a fallen temporary fence to leave the lot. There was no office or desk and employees were not uniformed so I didn’t know who was a company employee. Employee said I had to use the online return system even though he was not doing anything and could have inspected the vehicle himself and done the car return. The online return system worked but was time consuming. It would be fine after hours, but when an employee is right there doing nothing, it was frustrating.

MARK LI wouldn’t say the location is inviting but it’s got a big lot, so it’s practical for when you want to drop off a truck in downtown Toronto. The attendant was friendly and the drop-off was easy.
Bruno FYou charged me almost $60 I don’t have for gas and I returned it with the same amount I picked it up with. Plus it was very low when I picked it up anyways which forced me to navigate city streets for gas after I got it. For that alone, I wouldn’t reuse your service. Which is too bad because the people and phone support were really great, which sadly is hard to find. So big negative on specifics but the people element which carries the most weight… is a huge positive. Side note on question of clean truck. I did answer yes but the back did have a lot of debris I had to clean out. Cab was clean.

As well as, I was provided a U-Haul with 20km of gas left.. this rental is downtown Toronto with min gas station locations near by.. barely made it to a station in time to fill up.. Prior to this recent booking.. the Last time I used this location they cancelled my rental 2 minutes AFTER my time of pickup and still charged me for it.

First time they canceled my truck (different location) Second time I had plan pick up at one location close to my location but then was told to go to an other location across the city this was extremely out of our way and was inconveniented. I had to arrange a ride to go to other location. Was very upset. Bad service.

INGRID FAbsolutely unacceptable experience. U-Haul charged me over $1,300 for damage that was already present when I picked up the truck. The tailgate was visibly dented — I took a photo as proof and called their office immediately (it was closed at the time). Despite this, they still billed me for it. I did everything right as a customer: documented the damage, attempted to report it, and returned the vehicle on time. Instead of acknowledging this, they hit me with an outrageous fee. It feels like they're preying on customers who don’t document every scratch. This is either negligence or a scam. I will never use U-Haul again — and I’ll be warning others to take photos, make calls, and avoid their services whenever possible.
