I always return to Patrick’s in winder for rentals
LARRY CI rented the uhual for 2 short trips. One from my old house to new home and the other to pick up new dresser to take to new home. The calculated mileage for both trips was under the included miles for rental. After picking up dresser and dropping it off, the truck with very low miles started stalling horribly like it wasnt getting gas and I thought it was going to break down. I was only about a block from my house and don't have family, local or a car and funds were tight for moving. So I took the truck back to my house and parked it out front in a legal parking spot. I called home depot and told them what was happening with the truck and then I'm not a mechanic. And I did not want to be left on the side of the road and told them to come get the truck and they said, ok. A few days later, the truck's still in front of my house, and I called home depot again and asked to be transferred to the rental department. What happened next continue to happen every time I called. I would call and get transferred back into the queue.Over and over and over again and finally hung up on. On two separate occasion, I actually got to speak to somebody, not in the rental department but a manager who said that?Somebody would follow up with me the next day. I only received one call back. And at that time, I was at work, so I couldn't answer the phone, and I tried to call back when I got off the phone. But went through the same thing that I always went through. I spent a lot of time calling home depot, trying to address this. And then finally, I came home. And the truck was gone.But it was here a month, at least. So when the truck was gone I figured they finally came to pick it up. The next thing I know, I get a call from a lawyer's office where they're trying to charge me forty four thousand dollars for the truck because they couldn't find it.Which is crazy?Because I know they have g p s on it. And now, I guess they're still trying to charge me for some damages.Or something. But if they log the mileage on the truck, which I know they did, I probably drove the truck twenty miles at best, and I never, ever put the key in it and drove it again after it started to break down on me. So even though I paid for a truck rental, I had to pay somebody else. I knew that had a truck to come. Help me move the rest of my things. But i'm being charged all this money yet.Finally, last month was given my deposit back
