The app did work for the drop off but I did not have any dealings with any U-Haul personnel at this location.
JAMES PPolite and courteous service from attendant. He normally doesn’t work that location and did not know the system well, but with managerial assistance he politely and quickly squared me away. Definitely recommend this location for Uhaul rental!

Tina OThe condition of trucks in terms of using was very bad. The whole truck vibrates a lot while in motion. Left side rear view mirror vibrates so much that you cannot see anything. When you press the gas padel the truck engine makes such a loud noise and vibrations. The head lights just turns own. But there is no option for high beam and the headlights are also dull. They dod not even have any additional rental equipment available. The place has no active person to attend. Need to go to the front gas station to talk to anyone. The truck was clean. That was the only good point.
Jeel TNo one there to give me a copy of my contract only wanted to email it to me. Vehicle only had enough fuel for 28 miles. I think it should have been full so I could bring it back full and not have to guess as to how much to put. When I returned, asked the person there to come and check the vehicle while I was there and he said he would check it later.

HOLLIS FLazy people. Never there to rent. All directions for use on the app were wrong. Twice my experience here has horrendous.
RANDY RTruck seemed like parts were loose / broken. Breaks kept dinging. They did not have my reservation in correctly so was late picking and getting into the truck. Had materials that we did not need in the truck. Returned with more fuel in the truck than when rented and was not given a credit.

JAMES MWe had a little mix up. The owner was quick in responding and returning my funds but this definitely interfered with our plans for the day. Truck cabin was dirty and had a strong cigarette odor. Overall we got our job done just hit a time delay.

WARREN SThe truck interior was not clean. It wasn't filthy, with trash, but cupholder and side pockets on doors had sticky residue. Floor mats were dirty, windshield needed cleaning for safety reasons. But, truck ran well, brakes were good, seats were comfortable and it got the job done. The after hours pick up and return on the app were a bit confusing and could be made clearer for those less tech savvy, but if you have experience with apps, it becomes clear and it's great to be able to pick up and drop off any time. The key was not in a lockbox as stated. It was in the back of the truck. Overall, would use this pick up location and UHaul again. The price was very fair.
Patricia LU-Haul was rented on 09/20/2024 at 11:12am with Order #:99038553. When we arrived at Peacock Chevron to pick up the truck, they claim there was no reservation and there was no Uhaul representative on site to assist us. We did finally get the truck but this was completely unacceptable.
WILLIAM WI have not received a refund as my card was over charged.
Dustin GI chose to pick up without having to see a person however the keys were not where they were supposed to be therefore I had to go inside the gas station to talk to the uhaul representative and he still had the keys behind the counter with him. I paid for a rental dolly but it was not there and the guy did not reimburse me like he said he would.
Katie BOnly complaint is that it had almost no gas, we we immediately had to purchase gas. We ended up returning the truck with a lot more gas that when we picked it up. But the transaction was fast and easy.
Thomas PAll around terrible service with U-haul! I would never recommend nor would I ever use Slidell Gause near Taco Bell location nor Peacock Chevron location in Covington ever again!!!!
shawn jI will definitely recommend this location to friends and family. The service I received was phenomenal. It was a holiday (July 4th) and I had not reserved a truck anywhere because it was a last minute thing that came up. We were going to home depot to him get a trailer and they only had small ones. I goggled places near where I was to rent a truck and U-Haul came up. The gentleman that came out to rent us the truck was so professional and helpful!!!
Desiree QIn a busy gas station. Had numerous issues, truck was full of boxes and debris. Owner had to come remove, was paying movers by hour which I paid them to remove debris so we could start loading. I was charged for 160 miles, only went 20 had to bitch to get money back. Big hassle when you are already stressed from moving.
Adam RI was way overcharged. Said I owed for two slots instead of one. I have no idea why the system told me that at the very end. Seems like a scam to me. Pay at the end of the process for a double. How are you suppose to refuse that? Especially when using the app to return and no one around to talk to.

Tyrone LThe location was great, the online service is the worst. When you book a truck online and it says available it should reflect what is in stock and actually available at that pickup location.
Matthew JThey'll charge you again. The truck was advertised at 25.99 but it ended up being 70.. and then the next day they charged me another 24.. I'll never go back to that location.
Matthew MThe app would not function correctly so the self pickup was not available. The pickup process was delayed because the location associate had to call a U-HAUL to re-enter my entire reservation over the phone. The disruption too an additional 30 minutes to resolve, meanwhile I had a moving crew on stand-by costing me $160/hour. This issue added $80 to my total expense due to increased labor time.

James FA dolly and shipping blankets were inside the truck when I picked it up. I did not pay for a dolly and shipping blankets to be provided by Uhaul. I had to work around the dolly to not break the tamper seal and it took up space in the truck I could've used.

Ned LUHaul representative added Safe Move without authorization when reservation explicitly waived Safe Move. She did not return two voicemails requesting refund of Safe Move. She provided only 11 furniture blankets with reservation of 12. When I returned for additional blanket, she gave me look of being put-out and disgusted with me. Highly recommend you avoid this location.
