I would suggest letting customers know they must have WiFi enabled in order for the 24/7 truck pick up to work. Maybe this information was clearly illustrated, but I missed it and it was frustrating until I figured that part out!

It took over 5 mins to wait for the code to get to the key for the truck. We were in a time crunch due to bad traffic, and movers were waiting for us to arrive with the truck.

Improve customer service (don't just stand by people's cars and stare at them while they complete the self check-in... and don't ask If they smoke/to bum a cig. Inappropriate/awkward.) Also please clean steering wheels, ESPECIALLY during a pandemic. I used a wet wipe and it was dark brown after one swipe.

1. We were given the wrong truck and key, which caused the process to take 40+ more minutes than expected. 2. The truck had less than 3/8 of gas in the tank. Essentially, we had to fill it up as soon as we got it. 3. It took over 25 minutes to reach a customer service representative. During that period, we were stuck waiting outside in 95F heat. 4. The pickup area owner knew we were there the entire time, but did not go outside to ask about the situation until everything was finally settled.

Used the 24/7 drop off. Someone had parked another drop off in the middle of the driveway, so I had to just leave my rental behind it. Also was unclear where to drop the key off. There are 2 key boxes...one with just a slot and another with a combination lock. Was not sure which to use. Couldn't figure out how to get a combination so just put the key in the other one.

We only talked on the phone. Very pleasant. Actual drop off was after hours. I didn't realize that I had to take pictures for the drop off process until after I dropped the keys in the drop box. I wish I had been made aware of all that before I dropped it off. Otherwise, everything went smooth and everyone was nice.

The experience was awful. Although we reserved our U-HAUL vehicle online, we arrived about 5-10 minutes prior to closing (it was a Sunday; open hours were from 9-12 noon, it was roughly 11:50). The U-Haul location was someone's house it an office attached to the door. There were poor instructions/directions to the key box. No one was present to tell us where to look. When calling UHAUL, we were placed on hold for over twenty minutes waiting to be verified. Meanwhile, we used an additional cell phone to call customer service to figure on what was going on and why no one left was able to answer our call. Eventually (about 12:30) someone came out of the house for U-Haul(after posted hours) to help. Turns out the key that was suppose to be in the lock box was actually if their possession anyways. We finally left after 12:30 and we were still charged beginning at 12 noon. The service was TERRIBLE. Extremely frustrated and disappointed.

The online check-in with a cell phone is a joke. Took 30 minutes to get my vehicle. Asking for a passport when my alternate contact didn't answer her phone? Who carries a passport with them??? The agent who was trying to help me was no help at all. Finally able to give them a new alternate contact and they called her while I was standing next to her at the Uhaul dealer. Then they claimed she didn't answer the phone DESPITE her talking to someone from Uhaul only seconds earlier. Complete joke of a system. I'd never use that again.

The mobile check in and check out experience was awful. Way more work than just talking to the rep. Also, i took photos of odometer and gas and everything else and then locked up the truck and deposited the key. then i discovered your sure won't let me upload the photos I took, only take new ones. Such a pain!!

The drop off was someone's personal property. Kinda freaked out by it. Closed early on a Saturday. Personnel came out and checked us out even though it was closed.

The weblink to return my vehicle would not allow me to upload a picture I took when I parked the vehicle. After parking, I took a photo of the gas/mileage, locked the van, put the keys in the drop box and then went to the weblink. It wanted a “live” pic which wasn't possible since the van was already locked up & keys returned. This would've been nice to know beforehand. This is a website issue though & not the location's problem.

Pennington employees are NOT friendly or helpful. This idea that everyone must use an smartphone to download drivers license and any non documented damage to unit is a waste of the consumers time. There is no “wi-fi” access at this location, due to the physical location. There were “sighs” by this employee/owner at every turn. Since we could not get the photos of the undocumented damage to upload, she had to come out to mark it with an “x sticker” she was less than happy. It truly feels as though these individuals are only there to collect your money, that's it. She did not want to move from her desk.
