When I picked up rental truck gas level under the half tank I dropped truck at same level in gas tank, but Uhaul charged me half tank price. So this is not fair please take care of this

Nelson PMy experience with this rental was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I made multiple attempts to contact U-Haul because I needed assistance with the return location. During one of those contacts, a representative took all of my information and told me that the return location had been changed. I relied on that information and drove to the U-Haul location in Lakewood Ranch to return the truck, only to be told that the change had never been entered into the system and that they could not accept the truck without charging me an additional fee. I then spent a significant amount of time contacting Customer Service, Scheduling, and other U-Haul representatives trying to resolve a problem that I had already attempted to address in advance. Several representatives confirmed that my situation was documented on my account, and the Local Scheduling Team later provided me with additional return instructions. While I was still trying to complete the return, the truck would no longer start. I immediately contacted U-Haul Roadside Assistance, opened a service case, and U-Haul ultimately came to assist with the vehicle and took possession of the truck. Despite all of this, my final receipt was approximately $1,080, including a $314 Wrong Dropoff charge and $600 for Extra Days. I strongly dispute these charges. I made repeated good-faith attempts to return the equipment and resolve the return-location issue. I relied on information provided directly by U-Haul representatives, and I have screenshots and records documenting these communications. What disappointed me most was not simply the cost, but the lack of coordination between U-Haul departments. Customer Service, the return locations, Scheduling, and Roadside Assistance did not appear to have consistent information, leaving me to repeatedly explain the same situation and travel to a location based on instructions that were not properly reflected in the system. I am asking U-Haul to review the call recordings, account notes, Scheduling records, and Roadside Assistance records associated with Contract #81690161, and to correct the charges that resulted from this situation. I would appreciate having a U-Haul manager review my case and contact me with a fair resolution.

Ray FNot much parking for after hours trucks being returned. I had to go out the gated entrance bc a truck was blocking the exit. Had to open the gate from the entrance side and RUN back around and get in my jeep and go through the gate before it closed on me.

Omar LUpon arrival to pick up the truck, we were informed that the protective blankets we had were not available. Evidently they are first come first serve, but if a renter is requesting them they should be on hand, or the website should indicate non were available. Likewise, the gas level in the truck was less than a quarter of a tank. Clearly U-Haul doesn’t do as rental cars do and mandate that the tank be filled before it is returned. Between the lack of blankets and the immediate need for me to get gas, I had to scramble to get the truck to the storage unit in time for the truck loading process. Throughout the rental process that morning, the U-Haul employee was smug and stated I could go elsewhere for my rental needs.
Marc WAt the time I returned my truck I don’t have way to take my car because the parking was full so I need to take the truck until the opens and I return the truck and have access to my car and they charge me another day even I don’t have the control to make all the return tuck blocking my car move to leve the truck there

Dauriemar JInform them it takes regular gas & location of the gas tank (it is hidden by driver's door & how to open it); you have to turn on the headlights (not automatic like cars)& where that is(I had to Google it to find it.). Where & how to operate emergency brake(It is a push button? Not on the floor?)This would be helpful & informative to those of us, who do not drive trucks. Thank you 😊!
