The process was very fast and easy.
Colleen STruck was a little dirty and smelled like cigarettes. Seemed to be on its last legs too. Engine didn't sound the best while it was running, it weirdly downshifted when I was going down a hill, and the check engine light came on while I was returning the truck. But the location where I picked it up was great otherwise. Easy to find and directions for usage were clear and easy to follow.
Kyle PThe associate there was not friendly. He needs to work on his customer service interaction skills. When we greeted him, he was not warm with his response. He displayed a behavior of being annoyed. Then, he asked me where did I park the truck. I responded and pointed in the direction of the vehicle. He said that is not where is supposed to go as if I knew. There wasn't a sign or markings on the premises to give me clear directions. He asked if I put gas in it because people don't and then get upset when they get a hefty bill for gas. I responded that I did and it was more than what I started with when I picked it up. While we were getting settled in the car, he was walking around the vehicle, which I understood, so I monitored from a distance. He was annoyed when I asked to check the gas with him. I did not want a bill sating I did not put gas in the truck. He was not pleased with my request, but said he "trust me." This drop off location will NEVER get a recommendation from me, EVER!!
CYNTHIA JWas given the keys and said safe travels. No explanation of and working parts. Side mirrors did NOT move to adjust for drivers which can be very dangerous. She threw a bag of blankets in the back and there were only 4 not 6. Went to storage unit and was given a unit that had NO dividing wall. Then had to find another storage on a moments notice because they did not have a 5x10. Then had to drive another 15miles to return the truck. Will NEVER use again or recommend U-Haul to anyone!

OLIVIA SI will never use you guys again!!! Issues with app and accessing instructions to get into truck. Spent an hour on phone!!! Dollie’s were not provided and you wanted me to drive somewhere to pick them up and I would have been charged for those miles!!! Then I got charged $70 for gas when I only went 12 miles! Ridiculous! And you charged me for the Dollie’s I never got!!
Debbie MI think I just had bad luck with a late reservation. The truck smelled of marijuana and there were sticky stains on the seats and floor. I cleaned the seats and pulled out and washed the floor mat. The truck was okay, but I had to hold the steering wheel at about a 30-degree angle counterclockwise to drive it straight. This resulted in some shoulder pain for the duration of my drive. The online check-in process is slow and buggy. My session ended before I could complete the check-in process (reporting fuel level, damage, and cleanliness) and was marked as completed so I couldn't return and complete it. Online check-in to return the truck was also very slow, so I returned the keys to the manager. The manager was friendly and available.
Robert MAfter hours pickup does not work at this location. The pin on Google maps is in a location that you cannot access, so the UHaul app just keeps telling you you're at the wrong location. I had a 7am reservation, but was not able to get the truck until the location opened at 9am, so that put us 2 hours behind schedule. I called Uhaul customer service, and talked to someone who said he fixed the issue, and then he promptly disconnected right in the middle of me asking where I could find the key. So yeah, a very poor pickup experience.
Richard SVery pleasant checkout experience: they were prepared for me, and the staff were engaged in their job. Any “dings” in the vehicle had been pre-marked with decals, and I noted the tires looked brand new. Check-in: the staff was similarly pleasant. I would definitely rate this as one of my better truck rental experiences.
Mort MThe manager was AWESOME!!! I remember him from over 2 years ago when I needed a truck then and he was just as courteous now as he was then. We had a great conversation. It is nice to know that whenever I have a UHAUL need, I know where to go. Thanks a million.

Janice WMy online experience was horrible. Poor APP connectivity. I had to call the online rep and I was on hold for about 40 mins. Wasted my time. The online rep was the best!!! The cargo area in the truck wasn't swept very well. Lots of dust on the floor. I only moved lots of balloons in a large bag so I didn't have a broom to sweep it throughly. Very minor issue.

SYDNEY KThe staff at AAAA Storage in Chester, VA were stellar, the truck great, availability perfect. U-Haul could only wish that all of the independents could be handled by gentlemen as professional as these guys. I'll be back in about a month.

GARYDOUGLAS KMy reservation was supposed to be mobile pickup. I arrived for my pickup - manager was there and he leaves for lunch while I’m trying to start the mobile process- little did I know that I would have to wait an hour for him to return so I could get the key. If he wants to do hand delivery there should not be an option for mobile pickup

Piers HI waited in line over 15 minutes. It took me over 30 minutes to get rental due to system malfunctioning. But the representative was very courteous. He apologized for the delay and got assistance from another representative in another city. An average rate due to the long wait.
Virginia PDuring normal times the review would be at least a 3 and a half or 4 but since they seemed to not be following the guidelines by the CDC, my review is negative. Other than some 6' signs on the floor I noticed nothing else directed to Covid protection at this location.

Brian EI refilled the tank to just below 3/8ths of a tank (just like I got it). I was at 1/4 of tank when I went to the gas station. I followed the instructions by pumping 4 gallons (in fact I put in 4.25 gallons) and the gauge showed just a tiny bit below 3/8ths. You charged me over 9 dollars for what I can’t imagine was more than 1 gallon of gas. You should issue vehicles with a full tank and expect them back with a full tank. Your policy causes customers to give you free gas (just to be safe) or you rip them off if they are just a hair under. Ridiculous
Joseph KWe picked the truck up from Chester Location.we was told by clerk the return location back to her location.we told her we going to Alexandria Va. did it online.drop off suppose be Alexandria Va. she told us she cannot change it. All we had do is call 800 number tell them.when we call we got run around from customers service. Now they Want charge us extra because drop was wrong. Teach your people policy. So everyone talking same policy and guidelines.so customers don’t have headaches about the process.

connie sIf i have to carry furniture on my back i would never rent from this location ever again. I will also let everyone i know the overpriced i received. Ive never had a problem with uhaul before. But i think with them having these little subsidiaries handle business in their name is a big mistake.
