Ronald P.Your online system sent me an email when I reserved the 9' van, saying that it was not available at the Grayling location, and that I would be contacted by someone. When I talked to the Grayling rep, he didn't know why I would have received that message, because the van was available. Here's the message I received: "Thank you for reserving a 9' Cargo Van with U-Haul Truck Share 24/7®. You have acknowledged that the equipment on the date and at the location requested is not available. You agreed that a regional U-Haul representative would call you."

JACK FLOYD M.I initially reserved the car hauler at a Uhaul dealer in Gaylord, MI. Thankfully I called ahead to confirm my reservation because the person at the dealership informed me they are not open on Saturday. Had I not called, I would have driven 8 hours to pick up a trailer that I would not have had access to. Uhaul made no mention of them being closed on Saturday, just allowed me to click through and reserve. After a short scramble, I was able to locate another trailer, but it was 38 miles away from where I needed it. A major inconvenience, and with fuel at $4 per gallon, a costly one as well.

Robert S.The girl who helped us was great. Extremely helpful. The U-haul online customer service and kiosk use, however is a different story. The 800 number customer service was ridiculously poor. We actually waited over a half hour and never spoke to anyone. We finally gave up on that and drove to the only open U-haul and only then did things get better. By the way, no other locations within 100 miles were open. Grayling was open until 6pm on a Sunday. When real people/ employees handle your order, only then do things go smoother with U-Haul. Your customer service sucks otherwise.

Jill M.My comment is for the Des Plaines, IL store and the general help through U-Haul corporate. We were contacted and offered to haul an extra trailer for $700 off our bill. We agreed and went 100 miles out of our way (in Chicago at that!) to pick it up. When we arrived, they had no record of this, and we were there for 2 hours. We left and then suddenly they were able to locate the trailer and the record after we left. We did not turn around. This experience with corporate was awful. We were told that it was our fault, that we hadn't committed to it (we obviously had, since we wrote all the information down !) I would rate corporate and the DesPlaines IL store as 0s.

Joseph E.Tires on trailer were worn thin with little or no tread. Some of the running lights were not operational. Trailer had no jackstand and as such was not able to be unhitched when loaded. Very inconvenient.
Mitchell L.I didnt check the tires and leaf springs because i thought that was such a basic maintenance thing that the shop should have taken care of that before it even left the lot. I inspected to make sure there was no external damage that wasn't already noted. Well i blew a tire on the freeway due to a broken leaf spring and had to wait almost 3 hours for roadside repair on a trailer with a blown tire and two additional tires that were bald. The delay sent me back so far from my schedule that I had to rent a truck at a different uhaul facility the next day so I would be able to return the trailer on time. I have used Uhaul many Times before and will continue to do so, just not from this location - even if my life depended on it.

Website would not let upload a photo and when I was directed to take a photo my screen went black and I couldn't take the photo. I tried half a dozen times. Wasted most of my morning.
