I was informed that I would receive a prorated discount if I returned it early but when I directly returned it I was actually charged for further miles and there was no deduction by returning it early.

I have rented many uhauls before and what it cost me at this uhaul rental place was ridiculous. For a 24 hour rental I had to pay a little over $180 dollars. Everywhere else I have always paid the milage fee and the cost of the truck. The taxes that this place charged (that everywhere else i have rented from) has never been charged to me. I have always paid the amount for every mile driven plus the cost of whatever truck size i rented. This rental was a 29.95 truck (which i had called the day before and reserved a 19.95 truck) that when I got there they did not hold the truck for me so I had to take a bigger truck. This truck should of been a total of $129, because I always use my own insurance and never had to pay all the taxes this place charges. I should of got back a little over $50 when I returned the truck because I paid in cash. They said I only get back a little over a dollar. I will never rent from this uhaul place again and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Old outdated equipment with no assistance so I was forced to load and unload 2 different trailers from one location to another of theirs, this should have been handled for me and was wholly inappropriate. Because of this I didn’t check inside of second trailer and when I got home it was filthy and smelled requiring me to clean it with soap and water in 30° weather. Not to mention I cut up my hands on the broken equipment and had to seek medical attention.

I was surprised that the inside of the trailer had dried dirt marks across the floor. First time in all my renting that the inside was not clean.

Piratetown Storage was great - friendly and easy to work with. Their limited office hours (10 AM - 4 PM) were a little inconvenient but not too much of a problem. The equipment (a tow dolly) was in good shape and worked well. The only real frustrating issue was the lack of availability of tow dollies in Central Kentucky. Despite living in town with three UHaul representatives, and having several more in towns (and the city of Lexington) that are nearby, the closest one with a tow dolly available (i.e. Piratetown Storage) was a 45 minute drive away. It has been several years since I last rented a tow dolly but they were difficult to find then, also. The is apparently a greater demand for tow dollies, at least in Central Kentucky, than UHaul is able or willing to meet.

I was over charged for this rental! Equipment was only needed for 5 hrs. and no way to turn it in the same day. I did not need it for two days, was the only way I could rent it I was told. $54.0 was ok but three times that I was charged. Never again Uhaul!!!

Person at the facility had a hard time with the commuter system, but that wasn’t her fault. It was the system itself. The trailer had a short and no rear wiring which caused it to smoke so it was disconnected at the license plate light. The ranching devices that are used to hold the front tires down have never been lubricated and need to be replaced or repaired so they function more freely.

The corporate/online portion of the process needs a lot of work. I was prompted two different times that U-Haul would call me to verify the transaction. That never happened. When I contacted Pam at Pirate Storage, all of my questions were answered. She and only she made the experience great.

I want the trailer for sat was checking on it on Friday. they did the contract on Friday I pickup the trailer on sat at 10:00 and went i turn the trailer on tue had to pay for a exter day i tod them in stanton i want it for sat so i would not have to pay for a exter

The cargo trailer I was given was very old and should not be in use. This is the 3rd time I have rented a cargo trailer and was the worst experience I’ve had. I informed the return location that the trailer should no longer be in use.

Here's a tip. If the trailer (12x6) is so heavy that it takes three of us to lift it and set on the ball hitch, it should have a built-in JACK!

The Lady at Stanton Ky was great, but yoir not cherry picking parts of my experience. I ordered a truck weeks ahead of time to be picked up 5 minutes from my house. You sent me an email of the address you were sending me 25 miles farther away but never attached anything to the email. I didn’t trust Uhaul so the first vendor had no idea. The second vendor in Salyersville was left holding our contempt. We contacted the 1-800- to talk with Michelle but ended with an assistant named Ashley. This person was a joke. People probably haven’t told you before but since her supervisor wasn’t there on the 11th, she replied how she wanted. My wife asked her questions on why we were not contacted early enough?, where was our truck?, etc. I assume it was too much for Ashley’s simple mind because she went into some act of saying on the phone, “quit yelling at me, quit yelling at me”. “Im not arguing with you all morning“, she said, “it was our mistake since WE went on line and changed our pickup location”. What a LIAR. She got caught in a lie and went hysterical. What moron wants to change from original pickup point 5 minutes away to 20 miles farther and then 80 miles farther at Stanton, Ky from Paintsville, Ky. This Ashley must have been putting on a performance for someone in the same room so as to make it look like it she was defending herself or it was not her job to provide answers which is typical with the product we are turning out as employees. I assume her performance was good enough and after a last “quit yelling at me” and “I don’t have time to sit here listening to you argue at me all morning” she hung up on my wife. Not one question answered or one alternative to YOUR problem other than clarifying Uhaul is still inept. You extended the rental for a woman in Salyersville that screwed up my rental. Your employee ASHLEY, it’s unexplainable the response from her. She didn’t ha e the skill to locate a replacement truck. My wife called 6 other locations to find a truck. That should ha e been Uhaul. I was notified by text three minutes before my pickup time that our truck was not there. That’s idiotic! All the while this BS is going on and I have 5 workers standing in my driveway at home being paid to sit on their backside. I followed through and wouldn’t have known you screwed me but I went by the Staffordsville office and saw the truck wasn’t there the day before but I was assured it would be there by that location. In closing, I will never use Uhaul again and I’ve already turned down the storage unit at the Uhaul facility on Colonial Ave in Fort Myers, Florida and purchased a storage unit at ExtraSpaceStorage today on Winkler Ave. Never again Uhaul!

I was to pick up the uhaul in Means Ky and had to drive to Stanton Ky. The most gracious people at uhaul gave me a whopping 15 miles. That did not compensate me for the extra miles or TIME I had to invest. I would ;have thought I would have been given a credit or reduction of payment. Considering I had to drive 30 extra miles just to complete the Uhaul promise

When we arrived, they had rented our equipment to someone else. Then we had to go to Stanton KY to rent the Toe Dolly. The lady at this location was unable to assist us with hook up and due to the time delays, she actually closed and left us "high and dry". We called UHaul and a nice gentleman walked us through the hook up. This was not nice and stressful.

Hire people who can clean the trucks and won’t overcharge people. I was charged 94$ initially and ended up being charged over 200$ that’s crazy and took from my family’s meals for the week. I guess we should be thankful for ramen noodles. Yay for moving for us, right?
