David Colberti love the guys at plan b. theyre always fantastic. but holy fuck can you guys get some newer trucks? the truck i had was atleast early 00's or 90's ford. as a mechanic i can tell you (despite no cel on) it had an exhaust leak, a fuel vapor leak(probably fuel pump oring), inner tie rods were shot, headlights were basically unusable. also i doubt anyone will ever get back to me but i think i left my snapon pocket light in the truck.....oh well plan b is fantastic tho. excellent guys and tire shop

MARC HALLERNot everyone is computer savvy. If I had wanted to do an online rental or an online return I would have attempted it to start with. Unfortunately the person responsible for the UHaul rentals at this location did not want to actually complete the rental or the return and forced us to do it online. We are older folks(over 60) and are not as computer savvy as folks younger than us. He did not check the van over with us before we were to take it. There was a chip and a huge crack in the windshield that we are positive he did not know about and when we told him, he did not offer us another van that was not in disrepair. When we asked him if it was safe to drive he told us that was on us to decide. We were committed to having to be someplace to pick up a piece of furniture and had to take that van. The worry and concern we experienced over the windshield while the van was in our possession would not have been necessary had the person actually thought the windshield was an issue and provided us with another van. Our rental started at about 5 p.m. on a Friday evening and our paperwork stated we needed to have it back by 2:30 on Saturday, not sure why we were not given a full 24 hours for the rental. When we returned the van at 2:30 on Saturday we were told that he did not have time to do the return that we should just trust him to do it later or we could do it online. We tried to get him to take the 10 mins to complete the return but he refused and kept telling us he would do it later to trust him. Seriously why would I just trust him. So we sat in our car and it took us about 30 mins but we got through the online return. I also did not receive an emailed receipt from UHaul for the rental return. I received this questionnaire but no receipt. And yes I checked my spam folder it did not go there.

Changes were made and I was not notified till I called ahead of my expected pick up only to find the day and location had been modified without notice. Very bad experience this time. This had nothing to do with the physical location. They were fine and easy to deal with. But Uhaul’s online reservation system was a real failure this time. Caused me to have to drive an hour away to find a truck and nearly ruined my moving plans.

richard wilsonI was given a very new cargo van that had all the modern features of convenience such as usb charging ports, overdrive transmission saving gas expenses, powerful AC, a great suspension, and more. Inside where sufficient tie downs and easy to load side doors..there was plenty of room to fit my needs..

Sheri FanningI was unfairly charged $19.50 for gas when the meter read a different figure than the receipt. I filled more gas than I started with but was told it was not correct even though I had a photo proof of the initial meter reading. Obviously the meter was defective. I shouldn’t have been charged the extra fee. The manager Paul was not helpful or courteous at all. Very disappointed. Won’t ever return or recommend to others at all.

But they were open when I picked up, so that was great, the drop off was tougher since the App can never seem to locate me ... but it worked in the end. People at Plan B are GREAT, the van was perfect and the price was right. THANKS

Chas CataniaWe asked for a pickup location near Poughkeepsie NY and instead were offered two locations over an hour away as our only options - necessitating a two hour round trip for pickup. This was an added stressor and totally unexpected; we needed a UHAUL to clear out our mom’s house upon her death. I was so disappointed with the customer service we received and that nothing could be done to help us or to even offset the cost to us of the added hours we spent driving. When we got to the location in CT we were told the dolly we rented online was unavailable, which made moving the appliances difficult. The overall experience with UHAUL made an already upsetting situation even more difficult.
Timothy CarpenterYour remote check in is a mess. It kept timing out and I was unable to pick up on the day, costing me several hundred dollars and wasted time. It was a Sunday and wait time on help line was over 20mins, even then they couldn’t resolve the issue. If you offer remote check in there was must be a more dependable way of getting access. Couldn’t you text or e-mail the lock box code once customer arrives at location, without having to re-upload license and pictures all over again? Better to get that done earlier from reliable internet connection, ie when you’re not standing in a rainy parking lot.

Lee ScottThe previous customer hadn’t returned the truck I reserved so I got a smaller vehicle. Not really the locations fault but very frustrating and meant extra trips and abandoned belongings that would have fit in the bigger truck. Not a great experience, can someone please contact me to arrange a refund?
JOSEPHANTHONY GLOVERThe vehicle was dirty as hell in the back, full of dust, dirt, Sheetrock bits, and wood chips. The brakes were awful, the truck shifted like shit, even after turning off trailer mode, and it wouldn’t upshift until ~3800 rpm. It’s not Plan B’s fault, their location is great. Also, the cab reeked of cigarettes and was loud, sounded like we were driving with the doors open the whole time. Gas efficiency was awful, probably because the engine needs some love. Front end was wandering all over the place, was a struggle to drive straight. POS/shitbox truck but I’m not sure if U-Haul has anything better these days.
