When I received the truck it was dirty but I got charged a cleaning fee when I returned it because there were a few leaves. The truck I received was in bad condition on top of that but it was just a move stuff from here to there so I didn't mind that. I was also charged for insurance when I said no to the insurance. I did my reservation online without insurance and I confirmed that with U-Haul. I didn't ask for it to be at it or anything but I was charged for it anyway. I usually don't have issues with U-Haul renting but I will definitely be going back to the place I usually go

I recommend Pocono auto shop where I rent my u-haul mainly because of the great customer service I've always received there. ive been a customer there for over 5 years. There was this tv show called "Cheers" and the song theme of the show was.."you want to go where everyone knows your name"..the point i am making is i admire how friendly and professional they are...high five shout out to the manager named Mr.Adell ,the Assistant manager named Sabrina..and the staff..( smile)

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Van was comfortable and easy to drive. Only drawback is small customer parking area but otherwise very satisfied overall. One note, the seat belts really snap back fast. You need to hold them when released so the buckle doesn't accidentally hit the side window.

it is always a pleasure to obtain a U-Haul truck from Pocono Auto Service Center. From the moment I request a truck to going to the location and driving it off the lot. The staff has always been respectful, professional, and kind. I like it when I walk in and I shake the boss hand (Mr. Addell) , crack a few jokes with the staff, and Sabrina takes me through the paper work and computer log in quickly. I highly recommend them to everybody.

I've been going to the U-Haul located at 5050 Milford road for over 5 years. Every single time I go there the customer service is excellent. To give you an example when I walk in I am greeted with , "Hi Al how you doing", I shake Mr. Adell hand. Sabrina would say "good to see you". Some of the staff and I would crack a few jokes.. The respect and friendliness is outstanding! They make me feel welcome the moment I walk through the door. The process is always quick and easy. I went to a U-Haul in Queens to rent a truck because my son needed help moving. The rep behind the counter was very rude and had a nasty attitude. I got to be honest with you that rep / manager turned me off to the point we just left and ended up using my sons friend truck. I did tell her about the U-Haul great customer in East Stroudsburg and she could learn a lot from them. She made some wise crack nasty remark. See if I ever go back there again! Long story short if you want great customer service, treated with respect, easy in and out process,...in my opinion the best place to go is U-Haul Pocono Auto Service!

The 24/7 Pick Up needs WORK. It was a huge pain in the ass and wasted over 30 minutes of my time when picking up my truck. It required documents on hand that I didn’t bring with me because my reservation didn’t mention to bring it. It also said the location I was picking up from wasn’t open and I HAD to use the mobile option. After bursting into tears out of frustration because I didn’t have any of the documents it was requesting from me because, hmm I don’t know, IM MOVING AND ALL MY IMPORTANT STUFF IS PACKED AND PRETTY FAR AWAY FROM THE U-HAUL PICK UP LOCATION!…. a worker comes out from the “closed” on Sunday location. They literally felt bad for me and were able to get me in an out in probably 5 minutes and told me that they also agreed, 24/7 Mobile pick up is complete shit. The people who worked at this location saved this review from being a piss poor one but man, do better. Moving is incredibly stressful. If you required specific documents, maybe list them on the reservation page. Maybe don’t require a million random contacts. Besides my pick up, I did have a smooth experience.

Organize the yard more and have the people who install the trailers do it correctly as mine was not installed correctly and I could not reverse correctly the whole time I had the trailer which made it difficult for me.

When I returned the truck. The signal was so bad I couldn't use the app. They also didn't provide free wifi. I had to drive down the road to update the app. Otherwise it was great.

first of all... I want to say that I greatly appreciate the wonderful customer service that I've received at the U-Haul /Pocono auto service center. I have been renting my U-Haul trucks from their for the past five years. And during that time I've never had a problem over there. I have been going their so long to where I've given the U-Haul truck a nick name.. I call it "BETSY" (SMILE)..I sometimes feel like that 10 foot truck belongs to me.(smile). I've been going there so long to where when I call to reserve a truck, they ask me if I'm gonna take "Betsy" out (lol)..I took a liking to the staff because they have always been respectful, professional, and most of all friendly. The manager / Boss who I refer to as Mr. Adell and his assistant manager named Ms. Sabrina are the absolute best! I remember one time I was so appreciative of there customer service that I went out and got everybody dunkin donuts!! It do not hurt to show people your gratitude for their kindness. I've dealt with the u-hauls in the Bronx and Manhattan and I got to be honest, they suck!! The level of customer service in The Bronx and Manhattan is lacking compared to the U-Haul / Pocono auto service center. Because of my high respect for them (Ms. Sabrina) when ever i get ready to sign my contract and she gives me the run down, I find my self saying to her..(yes dear)(smile)..to me its a sign of respect because I've been married for over 33 years and during that time I learned to say two words....And those two words are .."yes dear" (lol).. but all jokes aside if you want great overall customer service I highly recommend going to the U-Haul Pocono auto center location.

Second time this month I needed a U-Haul, it went so smoothly start to finish. Picked up with the mobile app after hours in Pennsylvania, and dropped off at a local U-Haul in Staten Island. U-Haul is the way to go! Thank you for being so easy to navigate through the uncertainty of a long distance move. We will definitely use again when needed, and highly recommend to others!!!

The representative was helpful and courteous, and the location was very convenient. Equipment was older, but in good repair. The back was a little dirtier than the check-in pictures, but acceptable. Drop-off was very convenient because I didn't have to use the awful U-Haul app.

There was no pigtail wire harness on the trailer to connect the trailer lights. We took one off the trailer next to it in the U-Haul lot.

Move equipment around if you have to to make sure that there’s enough equipment in proper locations. We had to drive over 100 miles to get the trailer. The audacity of charging somebody almost the same rate to drop it off in a different location also screwed us up because of timing.

Reserved a car trailer 1.5 months ago with the expectation I could pick it up locally as per the confirmation I rec'd. Never rec'd the UHaul call in advance to confirm and on the day I expected to pick it up, I learned that UHaul cxl'd my reservation and the only other option was to cross state lines, 35 miles away to get a trailer. The reservation agent said the trailer was within 15 miles even though I protested that wasn't true. So, I put on an additional round trip 120 miles and had to pay 2 tolls to pick up & return. The location that I picked up the trailer from were very nice, but they required that I return the trailer to them and I wasn't permitted to return it locally unless I was willing to pay a significant return fee. I've rented from UHaul 6+/- times through the years and never without issues similar to this experience. I sent a review last time I rented with a similar experience to this one but based on this last rental, I suspect not much effort goes into service recovery. Net, net....I'm done. I cannot in good faith recommend UHaul and I will no longer be using UHaul for my rental needs.
