Stephen CFirst off porters didn't stage my Uhaul for after hours pickup so I had to wait 1hr and half to get my rental that I had reserved for 2 weeks. Then when the employees did show up before the store hrs I asked a gentleman if he could help me and he yelled at me saying the store doesn't open for 30 minutes and I explained the situation and he proceeded to yell saying the uhaul guy doesn't even show up for another 30 minutes. I had a customer service lady from uhaul onbthe phone with me for over an hr trying to get me into a uhaul and she got to witness alot of the conversation and she even said that the store was handling the situation poorly and she didn't understand why they were being that way and also pointed out a few instances where the store was lying to me to save face for their incompetence. I would not recommend this location for anyone. The uhaul itself though was great.

DEE MI have rented a truck at 2 locations. I picked this truck up because St Joseph rep helped me get what I needed at very short notice. I am very happy with the service I received picking this truck up. Very helpful staff and very kind. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.
PHYLLIS SThe U-Haul rentals are processed at their rental desk along with their other rentals. Convenient. Also, they maintain a selection of trucks and trailers and have a nice area for afterhours drop-off.

CHRISTOPHER CMove the lock box, and explain the late night return process. There were no directions given at pickup so I assumed it was like the other location with a box on the front of the building. After calling the 24/7 customer service, they told me the lock box is on a light pole. There are 5-6 different ones in the lot. It’s dark, and not accessible. I hope my pickups don’t get moved to this location again. Worst experience I’ve had renting with U-Haul and we use them often.

MELINDA BLocation had the truck backed up to a pile of mud, had to walk in the mud to get the back unlocked and open for the key. All previous moving blankets were left in the truck and filling the attic space so I couldn't use that space. Interior floors were filthy, cup holders had sticky residue and windshield was dirty. Had to call and spend 22 minutes on the phone because my truck did not exist in the app and I was unable to pick it up. Just a poor experience all around.

ALLEN BThe truck itself was clean interior and exterior. It had 111,000 miles on it. When I was driving at 65 mph, it would shake, and I could feel the gears slipping, as in a transmission problem. It was also far noisier inside the cab, than it should have been. A lot of deferred maintenance.

Eric WCheck in procedure was a bit prolonged because the Uhaul website required QR code instead of just clicking a link and progressing.
William ALet customers know available dates for trucks at time of reservation. Can I choose more than one day & return early for credit? Check in & return was fast & easy. Very helpful & knowledgeable assistance!

john pStaff was great. Truck was clean. My only complaint would be I reserved a 26 foot truck but both were already gone so ended up with a 20 footer. Not a huge deal but was a little bummed about that. Otherwise, no complaints.
Adam ATrailer was in horrible shape, ratchet straps rusted and unfunctionable. Had to figure out my own way to secure after driving 200 miles
JEFFREY BThe moving parts on the dolly trailer I rented all needed to be lubricated. The straps should have been checked as they were wound up incorrectly and we had a hard time unspooling the straps. I feel those should have been inspected and corrected before renting to me.
Joe LI had to buy my own spray lube after asking them to grease the hitch because it was loose and hard to turn and they wouldn't do it. After buying spray lube I was able to tighten up the hitch very easily and when asked about reimbursed they said for what. So no I never them to anyone the trailer almost fell off they didn't job right.
Jessy SThis 6x12 trailer was severely rusted and the employee had much trouble getting it hooked onto my ball. It was a short trip to the south side of the KC Metro and back, and the U-Haul unhooked itself on I-435 on the way back to Kearney...after dark. The safety chains failed and it flung itself into the guardrail. Thank God it didn't cause a pile up. This unit clearly should have been retired, which I'm certain it now is. My issue isn't with Porters, they have served me and my community well. Other than they should speak up and proactively advocate to remove equipment that appears severely worn as this unit was. It was a terrifying experience.

Mike GStart by putting the right amount of gas in the system so people don’t get charged double! If you say you see the right amount of gas and you’ll fix it, Do So!! After spending over 2,000 bucks at least you could do is put it in the system correctly.

Scot MWent to Chillicothe first for my original reservation and they we unable to get me checked in because of computer/internet problems. Customer service denied me my $50 guarantee. Had to drive an hour to the Kearney location to get a trailer.
