We reserved a furniture hand cart and blankets and neither were in the truck when we picked it up. We used the mobile app to pick up the truck before opening hours. Also disappointed that there was less than 1/4 tank of gas in the truck when we piked it up. We had to get gas before we left to start packing. Very disappointed

The Uhaul I rented experienced transmission issues once on the highway and running highway speeds. The transmission would not shift up or down at times. It required me to manually shift up or down on the column, or even a few times I had to drop it into neutral, allow the RPM to drop and then put it back in drive . I made 2 trips from Dayton Nevada to Spalding California, 360 miles round trip, before being done with the truck. The last trip I had back to Carson City was the worst. I had no issues I couldn’t work around , but that truck should never see another highway trip unless it gets transmission work completed. I rented a 15 foot truck that had over 162,000 miles on it from the Postal Annex in Carson City Nevada, returned it yesterday, and Kaitlyn said she would make a note of what I told her regarding the truck.

SKYE SAllow the customer to vent, instead of rapidly defending and overtalking your customer. At least hear them out and offer them help of what to do. We had experienced U-haul nickel and diming us, charging us for a "free" storage unit we never used, travelling 13 miles to pick up our truck not realizing that went against our mile allotment, when they had plenty locations within a few miles of our starting place. Then to get charged for the extra few miles was just another example of being nickel and dimed, adding to our U-haul frustration. Hear the customer out, please.
barbra bThe issue was not with the location but with having to be 40m from our original pick up location (moved days before we flew into town) and then the drop off moved as were were two minutes out from delivering it back.

David RThe salesperson did not mention that the truck we rented did not have a ramp. I asked him to refund the dolly rental since we were unable to use it. I still got charged. I realize it is only 7.00. But we were donating books to a non-profit, at our expense.so a refund would be appreciated.

Larsee HOf the ten tires I rented, 3 needed replacement before I got halfway there. Check airbag warning light on the dash wasn't comforting considering the braking abilities with a load. The tires, well worn, probably got killed by the potholes of I-10 through Arizona. Awful roads. Avoid them. And the roadside assistance was overall excellent. But I had a 300 mile drive to pickup locally rented equipment. On top of multiple times I was stuck on the side of the road. Drove in a convoy, 8 of my own tires, all of them made it. Cause I maintain my shit.

Fateima CThe person at front desk was lovely and kind so this experience is not pertaining to them. However my Uhaul was leaking oil everywhere and it is now all over my new driveway. The check engine light was on the entire time I drove. As well as a light up sign that kept saying gas cap was loose (which is wasn’t) I then when to go fill up the vehicle with gas and when I started yo pump the fuel into the vehicle the gas came straight out of the vehicle and splashed into the ground and myself. I quickly got back into the vehicle and dropped it off at the location because I didn’t want to be stranded away from my home. I’m not sure why this vehicle was not inspected before I got the keys in hand but it made my experience not so stellar I’m not left with stains of oil in my brand new driveway.
Taylor VThis location is questionable. Took many times before I was given a return receipt. I was promised a picture of return mileage email to me but I never got. The owner/manger try to tell me my mileage is a lot higher than what it was. The fact that I had to chase the closing receipt multiple times and wildly different claim of the mileage used left me feeling uncertain about the honesty of this store. Further more the how ethical they are in representing uHaul. The owner first claimed I drove 59 miles when we first estimate 60 miles when I took out the 10 ft box truck. The actual charge after I insist he send me return receipt was 43 miles ( still have no photo of odometer as promised). I am sure you can draw your own conclusion of this business representing the uHaul name. Very disappointing!

Sherie BLOCATION: This location for renting a U-haul is top notch. Quick and friendly. EQUIPMENT: Two things I noticed about this truck. It could probably use some new windshield wipers. Also the gear shift lever at times was VERY hard to move-- I actually thought it might break. Other times it was acceptable. Otherwise, truck performed as expected.

Jennifer CI have no issues with this location, everything was handled professionally on pick up. My complaint is with UHaul, I reserved a truck and the evening before was told it was not available. I was forced to drive 30 miles to pick up this trailer in order to move on the scheduled day. I also was forced to go an additional 10 miles to pick up the truck they offered me, a much smaller truck. I should not have even needed the trailer. I was forced to spend additional money for the trailer rental as well as the gas to pick up up. Very dissatisfied with UHaul.

Matthew SThe truck was awful. The air conditioning (in 90 degree weather) only blew when it wanted to (and yet I was told the truck had a/c-which I assumed was functioning-and paid for, but did NOT get). The transmission is shot and slips and the only way you can make it change gears is by taking your foot off the gas (high elevation here and lots of climbing). The shocks were also shot. It was the WORST experience I've had and likely I will go elsewhere next time where there's better trucks. I did NOT spend the money to rent a clunker on it's last legs. You should be ashamed of renting a truck like that for the same price as a good one. The place and employee were fine. I will not use or recommend you to anyone again, ever.

Maureen RMy grandmother was dying and I was trying to help her as well as get away from abusive people. I needed the Uhaul truck to help my grandmother move things as well as gather my own belongings to escape violent people. I was in an emergency/dangerous situation & James at that location was very rude. I tried to work with him & tell him my situation & why I needed the uhaul but he said it wasn't his problem. It would be nice if all employees had the necessary training and/or knowledge to sympathize with customers who are in emergency/dangerous situations. James at the Carson City location should not work there if he makes his customers feel like shit. Other employees were helpful. Even some customers who did not work there helped me in my situation more than James did.
