Alex AI rented the van to go one way from Santa Monica to Camarillo. I used the Uhaul for about 2 hours. I went to drop off location and it was closed. I called the Camarillo office, no answer. I called Santa Monica they said come back and turn the key I. The next day. I explained I leave for work at 6am and come back home at 6pm, they said fine. I go back the next day at 5:30 and they are closed again. I call Santa Monica and the put me on hold transfer me to a bunch of different locations, San Diego, Los Angeles, then finally Ventura county. Regional manager tells me drop box is in the back…Wtf, then talks condescendingly to me like I should have known and claims it was written on the return instructions or previously explained to me, which it was not. Very frustrating and a huge waste of my time, money and effort. I think I should be compensated for all the hassle I’ve had to deal with.

Daniel FIt was an average experience. I did notice a huge difference in skill level from a U-Haul and a U-Haul that does business with other services.
Julie HI did a Mobil pickup but when I had problems with my online quote I called Postal Magic and the young lady was extremely helpful in securing the equipment we needed. I did not however like the mobile pickup on your app. It was not user friendly and it was done by trial & error.
Diana RYou might inform people of your hours when you rent. We returned the vehicle after hours on the same day we rented & tried to return the key the next day since we only rented the vehicle for one day, and the office was closed. Apparently there is a key return spot but we weren't informed of that either. They tried to charge us for two extra days for their lack of forthcoming. This is a Postal Magic apparently trying to be a jack of all trades & not doing well in regard to being Uhaul Rental place.
Jill IThe location was awesome, the app experience was an absolute nightmare. Took me over an hour past my reservation time to actually get the truck, which delayed loading with the party that was helping me load. The app wasn't accepting my location (wish there was a more manual way to verify) and then solving it was a "customer issue" that nearly through me back into the queue (which would have resulted in another 15min of waiting) because of a call center policy. Since I had run out of 5G and 4G was a lot slower, your web recaptcha wouldn't load, which then made it so I couldn't log in via the web. Problems just came up every step of the way. I can see the ideal experience going great, but when it breaks, it's hell! On top of that, by the time I got to the lock box, that thing was impossible to open. So on top of the rest of the frustration and the pressure of being late from a terrible 1hour experience that resulting in me running back home to get my wife's phone to come back and use hers to get it to work, I was furious with uhaul over all. The location was great and they managed things well, and saved your butt for the return process because that wasn't working great with limited data either. I'll be trying to find alternatives to uhaul in the future, if there are any...may be eagerly awaiting a competitor.

Jim FMy rental experience was great, picked up the van in the afternoon and returned it the next morning. It is good being able to rent a reasonably priced van rather than bugging a friend to use their pickup.

GREG EThe woman that helped me at the counter was wonderful, the location was extremely hot(no AC). The truck, was another story, i got in, tried to move the seat forward and it would not move, I had to get out and physically work on the seat to get it moved. Then, I went to take the parking brake off, and the handle was broken, I had to have the woman working there come out and help me. After that, it was ok.

Alexander IThe process for returning the truck was quite easy. The counter person told me where to park the truck and to take a pic of the milage and gas level.
Kathy CHey, so the truck you rented me had graffiti on the inside AND the outside of the truck. And the thing is I rented this truck from you a while back and it had graffiti on the inside of it then! So instead of cleaning it you let someone also graffiti the outside of the truck and then you rented it to me! It was totally embarrassing! And also an embarrassment to the people I was helping move, and then an embarrassment to the assisted living facility where we were unloading (and they gave me an earful!). I would like a refund on this truck rental. I don't know if you can do that through this, if not I'll go through customer service.

Janelle RThey are not set up to do well. The system that U-Haul uses is frustrating and adds extra stress to the process. The app did not leave enough time to enter in all the items, when it times out it does not allow you to head back to the prior screen to continue with the check out process. The blankets that were supposed to be in the bed of the truck was actually a used mattress cover and pillow cases, I had to use my own blankets for the move. The whole process was stressful. The customer service representative that I called for help and the last working at postal magic were wonderful and helpful. The online app does not set them up well.
Kate JThe UHaul.com app on phone was frustrating to use. I found response/refresh was slow. I had to access my account through the link in the email vs. using the actual phone app. Otherwise, I am pleased with the equipment and how easy check in and check out would have been had the app been working as expected.
