The air conditioning broke down on the return trip--during a dangerous Los Angeles heatwave. The rental place would not provide any sort of compensation, claiming their computer was down, leading to my need to call the number provided, and customer service representatives who also could not help me. The next transferred call did result in report and then more waiting--for the manager of Postal Magic. When he reached me, he challenged my assertion that the air conditioning was not working, but finally agreed to refund half of the cost of the rental. Rather than crediting my card, he charged me MORE money. Now I have to deal with my credit card company to resolve this matter. I am extremely disappointed in the poor customer service, refusal to refund at least half of the cost, and charging me even more money instead of refunding me!

How U-Haul Reviews WorkPostal Magic's owner did not know anything of what insurance covered, needs education in that regard. She was very curt and almost rude. Wanted me to take pictures of milage and gas reading when I was returning truck. Did not have my phone with me and she had never mentioned that to me beforehand. Did not want to come out of her store to do a walk around or check mileage and gas. Rather lazy and not really set up to do that seeing she is a one man operation. Her U-haul operation procedures should be reviewed and perhaps a secret shopper should use her facility for you to understand how lacking her knowledge of the rental contract points and the curt and lazy customer experience at her facility really are. Leslie LHad a long line, truck wasn't ready, had to wait around for an hour. Originally booked truck for 8am, time was moved to 10:30am and truck wasn't available until 11:30. This is hard on people trying to move. Truck was not in good shape, had ant infestation and obviously needed tune up.
