I respectfully request a higher level review of this request for UHaul Management authorization for customer compensation based on the enclosed information. Unfortunately, the equipment (26’ truck) had not been effectively or efficiently cleaned. A quick visual inspection at pick up did not reveal the extent of dirtiness, trash and personal medical equipment (auto-injection medication pens, one with exposed needle – photos provided to UHaul) in the cargo and cab areas. With full daylight, I identified that the cab was covered in grease, contained food wrappers, plastic shopping bag, and used napkins (photos provided to UHaul). I utilized grease cleaners and sanitizers to get the cab to a basic level of cleanliness. An unnoticed dusty black film throughout the cargo area coated the underside of many belongings, which only became noticeable when furniture was placed in the new townhome and stained multiple areas of my clean off-white carpet. I discovered the personal medical equipment during a clean out of the cab area (along with additional articles of trash that I did not see during my first cleanout after pick-up). As I swept the different storage compartments in the cab, I came within inches of contact with the exposed needle of an insulin auto injector pen. As an EMS provider, I am familiar with and have handled this type of medical equipment and recognize the health hazard it presented. I secured and disposed of the injector pens on behalf of the UHaul attendant/next customer.

This location was great ,. Paul was so nice and helpful. I was upset with uhaul. I placed my reservation 4 weeks in advance for a 10 ft. I received a call the day before pickup telling me they didn't have a 10ft or 15 ft in the area. I had to drive an hour to pickup the 15 ft. There is a reason I place the reservation so early for a convenient pickup.

The location I called - and who took the order for day and time for pickup...NEVER SAID HIS LOCATION DOES NOT RENT TRUCKS!!! I had to pick up the vehicle at a DIFFERENT location 17 miles away. THAT SUCKED! Also, I was told truck had a quarter tank of gas, but 8 miles away it was warning me it was out! I filled it ($122 dollars to fill!) but it still had half a tank where I dropped it off. No $61 refund!
