The store has a very bad odor. The rep did not go and review the truck for the gas or mileage and it concerned me. He told me drop the key on the counter. That was the extent of the conversation.Amanda G.
The gas station owner was somewhat rude in saying he doesn't do drop offs. He told me to park in back and leave keys in drop box and the uhaul guy will be there around 3 to look at it and send my a final bill. Not helpful at all!Chad D.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The man working was aggressive, rude, and we honestly did not feel safe at this location. We walked in and told him we didn't feel comfortable backing our 26' truck up to park it like the others. (We later found out we didn't have to thank goodness) He responds with â€œI don't care, you got it here so you can park itâ€ then as we were walking out he yells â€œand if that gas tank is an ounce short you're getting charged. And if it's not clean I'm charging youâ€ well we swept out the cab the best we could but the first U-Haul literally gave it to us dusty and said â€œit's a little dusty but no big dealâ€, folded all the blankets we didn't use and put them in the cab, and folded two blankets we did use and put them in the back. They may have shifted a bit while moving but nothing crazy. The following day we were charged a cleaning fee for unfolded blankets and because it was dirty. We left it better than we received it and this is what we get. I called and complained about the location, the man working, and getting charged and I was told that if I didn't have pictures they couldn't do anything but the customer service rep admitted she didn't have any pictures either. So you're charging me for something you can't prove but expect me to prove it in order to not get charged? DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT THIS LOCATION.Madison N.
He refused to help us. He told us if he got up from his chair he'd charge me $20 to help me. My husband told him he didn't it's just money bc I truly couldn't figure it out. I told him another local place referred him because he's be open and he ran his mouth about that. I guess if you don't need assistance it'd be an ok place to pick up. His father owns the corner store however if this is how he treats customers he's going to run it into the ground. I don't recommend this place especially for a female by herself he's intimidating and very rude. Then when I got into the U-Haul it was dirty and the gas wasn't where it said online.Timothy A.

The service person wasn't going to let me drop it off at first, then made a phone call and accepted drop off. I took pictures of all sides of trailer and location of trailer on lot, just in case it didn't get checked in correctly.John Z.

The vehicle had damage and was dirty prior too picking it up, I posted dispute pictures before leaving the location but was still charged more than the initial charge of $74 this is terrible customer service. This guy can just charge whatever he feels is appropriate? I feel like I was taken advantage of and need to get a refund for the extra amount I was charged that was not disclosed to me.Jonathon R.

This location, at which I dropped off my rental was a very poor experience. The individual literally insinuated when dropping the keys off that they always find something to charge, causing me to take photos of the vehicle on drop off. Several hours later I received a charge for a cleaning fee for a clean, empty vehicle. I submitted photos of the vehicle and haven't heard a thing back yet. If no response is received by tomorrow I'm filing a formal complaint and contesting the charge. Absolute crooks at this location.Patrick D.

I was having trouble with the app uploading my picture of the odometer so I went inside for help. The attendant told me he couldn't help me because he had nothing to do with U-Haul. He was pretty rude, told me to leave the key and when the U-Haul guy came, Id get my receipt. I gave him the key and he threw it at the desk in the cornerTracie B.
The dealer at 1713 Country Club Road was very helpful, getting the rental a day earlier. I would like to compliment the excellent team at the location at 1627 W. Henderson St., Cleburne, Texas. They helped me with my reservation and made sure I had the right equipment when there was a shortage. They are exceptional representatives of your company.Arthur L.

The person who handles the U-Haul rentals is not available at the convenience store during all the store hours. Upon arrival, the clerk who was â€œjust running the storeâ€ was very unhelpful l, questioning if I had reservation or not. He then called the guy to come up to the store to handle my reservation and I waited for several minutes until the U-Haul person arrived. It ended up being ok, but due to attitude of the clerk, I was thinking I was in the wrong location.Marc W.

Not make me run around all over the place to get my uhaul after a lady messed up on my paper work spent half the morning on and off the phone trying to get my uhaul and they sent me to a place that opened at 12 when I was supposed to get my uhaul at 8am. I was informed the â€œUhaul guyâ€ was not there. I had already parked and detached the trailer but the convenience store clerk got very upset and made me move it to another area. I had dropped it next to the other trailers and he had me move it over by a bunch of trucks. He was very rude.Melanie C.

Gentlemen working did not want to check in my rental and said to lay the keys on the counter and he would handle it tomorrow which technically would have been a late drop. Charged me a $10 cleaning fee even though I had already cleaned. Did not wants to walk out and inspect the truck with me when dropping off. Told me not to do a mobile drop off.Jordan C.

The father, of the son who actually handles the U-Haul stuff, was rude. He just kept saying, "Is it clean? My son isn't here. He will look at the truck when he gets here. Is it clean? You will be charged if it isn't clean." My son-in-law finally went in and straighten out the situation. My son took pictures of the mileage, etc. on the dash board. He then took a video of the outside of the truck noting where things were marked at the time of pickup. I later called the son about getting my packing blankets back and he was very nice.LINDA G.
Store tried to tell me the truck was dirty. It was NOT dirty! There were a couple of foot prints from when we swept it out before returning it.SANDRA C.
When I rented the truck the owner asked me to check in using my phone. He asked if he could see my phone and show me how to check in. I handed him my phone and when the questions came up about whether the truck was clean, mileage, fuel level, etc., the owner checked that all were complete. That was a lie. The tank was not full and the back of the truck was dirty. When I pointed this out to the owner, The owner told me to just fill the gas tank as close to full when I bring it back and there won't be any problem. Other than being dishonest, the owner was polite and playfully flirty with me during pick up. Drop off was another story. I brought the truck back and hour before it was due back. I swept the truck out before return as well. Upon return the owner met me outside in the parking lot moments after I parked. Like the day before he was being playfully flirty with me. He checked the back of the truck and said it needed more sweeping done in the back and if I didn't go do it he would charge me $25. I asked if he would please bring me a broom, he smiled, said yes and went inside the store to fetch the broom. While the owner was inside the convenience store, I told my best friend who arrived to give me a lift what the owner had said about a cleaning fee. The owner appeared to be upset when he came back outside and saw my best friend now standing with me. The owner handed me the broom and then he climbed in the back of the truck. I began to climb in the back of the truck when the owner stopped me and said he would do it himself. My best friend asked if he was going to charge me $25 for sweeping because he would do it for free. Owner of gas station said, "no I will sweep it for no charge". He swept for approximately 30 seconds, because it was already clean and he had nothing to sweep, and then he exited the back of the vehicle. The owner told me to put $20 in the tank, I went inside the convenience store and paid $20 cash to the owners father who was working cashier position. My best friend drove the truck up to the pump and begin pumping gas. The owner came back before we were finished pumping the gas, owner got in the front seat of the truck and told my best friend it needed more gas. We asked how much more. The owner said to my BF' "I don't fucking know, man, how about you put in $50 at the pump right now and just see what happens" My BF said, "no, I'm not doing that, just tell us how many more gallons you need" The owner became irate and said, "I don't fucking know how many gallons it needs, it just needs to be over full so fucking pay now or I will charge you." My BF replied, "You won't charge me because I didn't rent from you and I'll make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from you because this is not how you do business. No matter how many ways we asked the owner how much the gas gauge was currently showing with $19.56, the owner became more irate with my best friend only, screaming obscenities at him and finally shouting at my BF to "you go away from here, and let me talk to her." My BF is a gentle giant, and while he was upset about being disrespected and verbally abused, he walked approximately 15 feet away but BF could still hear the owner and I. Owner turns to me and says, "Are you going to put more gas in or do I need to charge you for this and charge you for the sweeping!" I responded, "I don't appreciate you speaking to him that way, and then speaking to me the way you are." The owner replied, "I don't give a fuck what you appreciate." My BF told me to come on, let's just leave. So we did just that. In closing, this location is in Cleburne, Texas and is known for being a little trashy. In my opinion the owner (like many folk in this area) was upset when he saw a beautiful blonde woman with a tall, physically fit, Trinidadian man. We may have appeared messy from moving for two days but we are absolutely not trashy people. I have been a Paralegal for 18 years, and my BF is very successful (leaving out his details for privacy). I would never treat anyone the way we were treated today and I refuse to believe that Uhaul is co-signing on the gas station owners behavior. Uhaul do the right thing. I do not owe any additional fees for gas and due to the way not only I was treated, my best friend and his three children who also witnessed the exchanges - I should be refunded for the entire cost. This was a horrible experience. I believe that this reflects badly on U-haul because you are using scammers and charlatans to rent your trucks who end up verbally abusing your customers when they don't get to buckle and dime or poorly flirt with a CUSTOMER! I tried calling Uhaul and was transferred numerous times, always to the wrong location. I am now currently waiting for a call from a manager in the fort worth area. Additionally, when I complete my move later this month I won't be renting another truck from Uhaul. This experience has ruined that. I am looking at paying far more for movers due to this experience. It was a store & gas station, no other gas station around. I called to see if I could change drop off because the drop off person changed and I was headed in the other direction. Very rude! I was going to get gas there and they had no gas! The pumps were out. Wouldn't you let someone dropping off a truck know that since they are going to be putting gas in the truck? Instead I had to drive around looking for a gas station. I went over miles, only 3 but it's the principle. Plus when I got there I couldn't understand them but it was obvious I was inconveniencing them. After such a great experience picking up this truck from Uhaul I thought they should know.Taniss C.

Pickup at the location was okay - WHAT WAS TERRIBLE was - I got a phone call just 3 days before rental because the place i had reserved a trailer at over 3 weeks prior didn't have one available! What's the point of reserving at a specific location if it doesn't secure trailer availability?? WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED and InconveniencedKaren W.

The U-Haul attendant had to be called, he wasn't at the facility. The 2 attendants at the store were foreign and had some trouble with the English language. The vehicle I rented needed air in the tires, and needs service. This facility is not up to the normal U-Haul standard of attentiveness, cleanliness and customer supportSteven H.

I reserved AND put in my credit card the night before for a 6x12' trailer. The TOTAL was $95.00. When my brother picked up the next day, Prime Corner ADDED insurance making it $132.00 which I did not have. When I called and asked about a refund, he refused saying â€œhe signed the paperworkâ€. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and did not have any more money because I had to move for surgery and recovery. So, he has now put my account in overdraft and cost me even more money.Richard W.

My drop off time was 0900 hours on Sunday. We arrived at the drop site at 0830 and the individual 0830 there started yelling at me he did work for U Hal and would not help me, told me that the sign out front listed the times. I put the key in the box, he was now yelling that I would PAY.William W.
