Process was pretty simple and quick to pick up and drop off. Didn't realize all the fees but otherwise happy with the experience. Would rent again if needed

Can't think of an improvement. Everyone was very helpful. The equipment was fine, the hours worked out, the place is in a central location, and easy to access. No problem parking. Everything worked out as well as can be expected for moving in 100 degree heat!

Very hard to reach someone. Pick up location changed at the last minute. Dollies that were ordered online were NOT provided. Truck was brand new though, and AC was good. Outlet cell charger was crap and did not work AT ALL. This is a safety concern for people traveling long distances.

Too many business names at this location and the U-Haul sign is not at all visible. There is no parking. There seems to be an auto garage, a car wash and other businesses but you can't tell if you are at a U-Haul location because the signage was not exposed among the many other signage on the building.

Did not have all moving items I selected when booking several weeks prior to date of rental. My time ans location also changed and both were very disruptive and inconvenient, significantly impacting my move out in my buidling

My uhaul truck was reserved 24 hours in advance but 30 minutes before I was supposed to pick it I was called and told that it was unavailable and that I would be reallocated a truck. I didn't receive any communication for another hour or so and when I called to ask I was given a cargo van instead. My moving slot with the apartment complex was jeopardized and I had to do several rounds because everything didn't fit in the cargo van at once due to which I ended up using more miles and time with the cargo van as well and got a higher bill. Very dissatisfied.

Website problems at pick up & drop off. Van was dirty. Mileage was inaccurate. Gas was only about half. Only positive was the 2 women I spoke to on the phone when we had the problems

I have no problem with this particular location. But I didn't have a pleasant experience overall.At first I had booked a 20'truck to pick up at 8:30 am on 29th. The system let me book it. I planned accordingly because I needed to travel to jersey. I booked helping hand at 9 and there in jersey 3. I got a message just right one day before my booking confirmed to pick up at 10 am. I called. They said they can't really do anything. After several times they wanted to try doing another reservation but just right after I gave my card details phone disconnected no one called me then. I had been trying to update my reservation online which I couldn't do through phone and was able to do finally and I got to pick up at 8:30 am from another location. but then guess what. After one hour I got a message confirmed at 10:30 am this time and same location I had the booking at very first. I called did live chat they said will call back and they did. I got it updated by them finally from new castle location at 7:30 am. Which I next day went and picked. I got a call at 11 saying I didn't pick up my truck so they might charge I said I did already from new castle location. Guess what. In system looks like I had two booking. How can be two booking with same reference number. You got to update your system or fix some bugs. The uhall app doesn't work at all sometimes even when have full network. The helping hand movers help at 9 o clock one also didn't call me then. Just texted on his way at 10 o clock. Then at 11 cancelled saying he has car issue. Note he didn't call or picked my call. How unprofessional. Job number JB-60b4421a. I also had Pre paid and didn't get any refund yet.

i have already submitted a complaint via U-Haul online site "Email Us" section, but I have not received any reply yet thus much more disturbed right now. It was sent to Customer Service" with these below words, "I've reserved a van today November 1, 2019  at the location 55 MIDTOWN BRIDGE APPROACH, HACKENSACK, NJ 07601. When I turned on the van, I saw a warning sign to add air in the rear tire. I found out that it is a flat tire. How can they give me a flat tire van? This is a safety hazard and likely possibility that I'll be in a vehicle trouble like breaking down on the road and risking my life.  Because of the flat tire, I am still waiting for the change of tire. I've reserved the van for 10 am but because of this mess I have wasted close to an hour to resolve this matter. I am very traumatized and hesitant to drive this van. Moreover, I am very disappointed in U-Haul for not taking my life seriously. I would like a genuine response for U-Haul. Thank you Kyu Lee"

It was extremely inconvenient that you changed my pick up location without consulting me! The location I chose was 2 blocks from my storage facility and closer to my home. I had to go out of my way to pick up the truck. If this is typical of your policy, I won't rent from you again.

I thought the people at the location were very friendly and professional. Based on that I was hoping this would be my new "go-to" place to rent a van, which a do about 4 times a year. But the vehicle had a large crack in the windshield, had a loose part from damage to the rear-end and also needed an oil change. When I rent a van for a long-distance drive, I want to feel confident that it is well maintained.
