We weren't told that the back needed to be swept out, just our trash removed. The truck we received looked the same as we dropped it off and we were told it was “dirty”. They did allow me to sweep it myself rather than pay a $25 fee, but there were maybe 3 leaves in the back and items from previous moves, not ours. He told us when we sign the truck and leave that's what we are also agreeing to, but we were never told to look inside.

The agent was very rude. The location was difficult to maneuver, and the agent yelled at me for parking in the UHAUL parking lot, though the UHAUL truck needed to be parked in a different lot -- this information was not marked and not explained. This type of treatment, happening from my second experience with UHAUL, makes me not want to use UHAUL ever again, nor will I recommend UHAUL.

I was routed to this location by the UHaul call center. The person at the location (without a mask!) refused to accept the truck, started shouting at me, and did not want to hear what I had to say. Extremely unpleasant experience! Then I see $45 of unnecessary fees - after hours?!? I dropped it off at 8:40am before my 8:45am scheduled return. Cleaning fee?! The inside and cabin were as clean as I had found it.

First truck was boxed in. Waited on hold on 3 different phones for more than 40 minutes each to speak with someone. She kindly had us move our pickup location, and due to the delay I had to extend my reservation a day.

the man refused to give me his name. He wasn't wearing a mask even though Vermont law required him to do so while inside and he leisurely put on his mask as I approached him. He refused to sign anything confirming i had returned the truck and he wouldn't let me come out with him during the inspection. He was rude and testy.

don't tell customers the truck yo ordered would be ready at the Noyes location to find that it wasn't there inconveniencing me and my ride to have to go to another location (Winooski). Also, inform people that supplies are only available at the Riverside Drive location so I had to travel to yet a third location to pick up boxes!! This experience cost me approximately two and a half additional hours!!! Not a good first experience with UHaul. Perhaps my last.

The convenience of being able to pick up a truck on a Sunday afternoon was awesome. On the other hand, it was the only truck there. The employee acted as if he was letting me borrow his most prized possession. I don't know if he generally deals with idiots or not, given the location I would not be surprised. But this guy BERATED me before and after about the cleanliness of the truck, as if I gave him the indication I was a dirty person. We moved a new couch with it, still in the wrapping. Overall the service was handy but your boy could stand to learn a lesson or 10 in customer service.

Online check-in took a long time (hours) to send text messages with necessary codes, eventually had to go to counter to get keys. Codes arrived via text while I was already loading! This was NOT the fault of the location.

There was an issue with the U-Haul application on the tablet where the final acceptance button on the payment screen loaded partially off screen so we weren't unable to proceed past that point.

The person who rented me the U-haul was rude to me when I picked it up and dropped it off. When I dropped the truck off he told me he almost towed my car that was parked in his parking lot and said, “people normally park at Winooski school.” I asked him why he didn't mention this to me when I picked up the truck and he said “I don't know, you just walked in.” Parking spots were labeled for customer use, and as a customer buying a truck from this man I did not appreciate being treated that way. I dropped the truck off 4 hours earlier than I said, with a full tank of gas, truck empty, there was very minimal shreds of grass in the back, which he instructed us to sweep in front of him so we did not get a cleaning fee. Overall very dissatisfied with the customer service and how I was treated as a responsible U haul customer. I will never recommend or rent a truck from this location again.

The actual Uhaul was great. It was exactly what i needed. As for the guy that rented me the uhaul i cant say the same. He was a complete jerk to me, treating me like i was stupid and telling me I would need to estimate the mileage for WAY over how far i intended to drive it. That was only when i first rented it. When i returned it, i swept and mopped out the back of the truck, and put in more gas than it came with ( I have pictures of the before and after). He then insisted on telling me how bad of a job i did and even went as far as calling my friend that i was with a "fat ass" when he tried to explain how we swept and mopped it. I will not Ever rent another uhaul from that location, and i have passed this story around the community, so as everyone knows that he not only over charge you, but will make your experience a living hell. I had a complete anxiety attack because of this man. And my friend was completely heartbroken. Not cool! Something needs to be done.

Both people I interacted with were helpful. One of them saw that I was struggling with the unfamiliar vehicle and took time to show me how things in the truck worked. He even turned the truck around for me so I could leave going forward. It was a much better experience than I've had at other Uhaul locations.

Not helpful. The employee acted as if it was a burden to help. The check tire pressure monitor light was on. I asked if that indicates a tire needed air. He said “Do you want to cancel the contract?” I said I just want to make sure it is safe. I drove the truck to Riverside location and they checked it out.

1st place I worked with the gentleman was extremely rude. Called the Burlington location spoke with the assistant manager Justin Donahue to try to change my drop off location. He was beyond rude and treated me like I was stupid. No impressed at all. Returned the U-Haul to the same place I picked it up, like the lady from the traffic department told me to when I called them after being treated horribly from the Burlington location. The gentleman told me that I was causing a horrible inconvenience and was extremely mad at me. He was beyond rude. I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone. I was treated horribly.

Beitter customer service, at the main office or the toll free number, Have the employees come out and do their job on inspecting the trucks. Follow up with customer so the customer knows exactly how much they're paying if the company is still open when you drop a truck off especially if the truck is returned earlier than what the agreement was set up for. I've definitely had better service with u-hall & this was most definitely my worse experience with this company.

Attendant was rude to my daughter and sister-in-law. Claimed the trailer was dusty, we had the trailer for less than 24 hours. Attendant also required my daughter to back the trailer into a spot. This person would not have spoken to me that way. Please contact me. Bryan

For starters, you could tell the gentleman at the counter that it generally not a good idea to telephone his customers and berate them for parking in the wrong spot. I had to ask him to stop yelling at me, and to stop lecturing me. I was rewarded with an unjustifiable $10 cleaning fee for a truck that was returned spotless.

This Location was fine, but UHaul as a company was awful. Their customer service was incredible rude and unhelpful, they messed up our truck reservation and tried to completely change it in a way that would have cost us $75 more just in mileage and said they couldn't do anything about it. A nice local guy at the Burlington location was able to fix all my problems in 2 minutes flat while 3 hours with UHaul corporate got my nothing but annoyed and driving a smaller truck from a further away location at a different time. If you can use any other company than UHaul I would highly suggest it. First time I used them they didn't have a truck at all for me and totally screwed me over. Now this time resulted in additional cost, hours on the phone, and all of my itinerary being changed. Avoid if possible.

This location was the absolute worst experience I ever had with a rental location! After two long days of driving, I was dropping the vehicle off and the manager started to berate me for some dirt left on the self inside the box truck I rented. The dirt was so minimal that the pick up location didn't even notice it, nor did I. The manager angrily threatened to charge my account for a complete cleaning. I said I'd do it, and was handed a broom and pan. It took two minutes to clean. It was hot, I was tired and I had just unloaded heavy furniture. This petty display of a powerplay was the last thing I needed. If you're a masochist I highly recommend this location, if not, stay away! Also, I later found an extra charge to my American Express account from this location. It was because I was short for the return gas mark. The charge was for one dollar.

Dolly rental was 16 minutes past 24 hours and i was charged another full day. That seems a bit excessive especially since i had to wait more than 15 minutes while the employee attended to non uhaul business (laundromat).

Make sure you take the truck in clean condition- and return it clean. Otherwise you have to pay extra! The truck we had was dirty and we returned it in the same condition but we had to clean it Or pay!!

Since this was a laundry mat, with no sign upon entering, I had no clue where to go to sign. Who would think that a man folding laundry is the guy you are to speak to when you are picking up a u-haul truck?? On top of that, the man was condescending and difficult to understand, due to his accent. Then again, I have rented three U-Haul trucks since February and I have had two negative experiences. Two positive: one at the place in Chambersburg, PA on route 30 east. And the other at Maugansville, MD. Oh, by the way, the trucks are SUPER noisy...not the smooth quiet ride advertised.

We have used uhaul car transporters a few times with the particular truck we have and for some reason this time the chains were not long enough for our hitch and the person working didn't have longer gains or if he did he refused to swap them out, which is ridiculous considering they are just on couplers and can be removed and put back on easily enough. It took almost half an hour to complete the contract because he couldn't get the software to work propane then another half an hour of trying to get it hitched up to the truck only to have the issue with the chains. I ended up not being able to do what I needed to and wasted an hour of my time for nothing. Very poor customer service. Of course he did say I could rent one of their trucks that he could easily hitch up to the trailer. Ridiculous scam and will not use uhaul again. I will use either budget or Penske in the future.

Upon returning the trailer to them, I had swept out the unit, it was not my fault that the roads were sanded and salted to have that thrown on the rear deck plate near the handle. This guys attitude was beyond being anything that I ever encountered from a Uhaul pickup or drop off locations.

I like giving good reviews and am sadden I have to write this one. There were many confusions about what I signed up for and did not receive my contract until after I brought the truck back. I waited 45 mins for Chris to contact Dave about their slow system and that I had not received my contract yet. The truck was dirty when we got it but Chris was nice enough to give us a broom after we had already swept it (and was cleaner then how we got it) to RE-sweep it to avoid $25 charge. I got charged more money then I would have if the contract was done right (IE: not in-town but the $59.99 I chose on the website and told Chris I chose- it had 70 miles included). All in all....will NEVER use this location again.
