The agent was rude and inpatient. He deleted my dropped off location too and caused problems

Everything was good. Thank you for your help
Timothy SI clearly misunderstood when my pickup location rep told me I had the truck on Monday for no additional charge. I clarified this with him. The person at the Winooski site called my daughter’s cell at 5pm on Monday and asked for me. He proceeded to yell at me and berate me saying I was supposed to drop the truck off at 10am and that I ruined someone else’s day. When I told him my side of the situation he called me a liar and he didn’t believe my “cockamamie story”. He would not stop yelling at me so I hung up. He called back to yell at me some more. It was awful. I am a repeat customer and I have always dropped off trucks on time. I asked him why I didn’t get a phone call at 10:30 inquiring about the truck. In fact, I didn’t get a phone call the entire day which I never would have expected since I thought I had the truck for the day. He only called my emergency contact at 5pm, never called me once. There was nothing I could do at that point other than offer to pay for the extra time. This did nothing to appease his anger. He just kept repeating the same thing over and over again. He finally hung up on me which was a relief. I finished moving my daughter and returned the truck at 9:00pm. I’ve never experienced such abusive customer service from U-Haul. I’m a 57 year old woman who can afford to buy a damn box truck of my own; there was absolutely no “cockamamie” involved in my understanding of having the truck on Monday.
Donna HStaff was helpful, but was also managing a laundromat. My biggest complaint is the extensive use of the u-haul app in the checkout process. This would be much more efficiently done by a u-haul staff member.
Ellery AIt would have been easier getting help from a human being. The drop off mobile process was tedious and seems overpriced having to pay $1.00/mile plus the gas I used. I also don’t know why I was charged for a two day rental when I only needed it for one day. Still cheaper than movers, but not happy with the process and how expensive it is.
