This was one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had. The pickup location at Puff N Spin in Chambersburg, PA should not be listed as a U-Haul provider. My scheduled pickup time was delayed because no agent was available on site. I had to wait approximately 50 minutes while the store cashier tried to contact the agent. I was then forced to complete the entire pickup process through the mobile app because their system was down. The most serious issue was the condition of the truck. I was given a vehicle with a severely damaged tire that had a large hole. This was extremely unsafe and caused panic as I realized I was expected to drive it. This is unacceptable and puts customers at risk. Because of this situation, my moving schedule was significantly delayed. I was unable to complete loading on time, which caused financial loss and major inconvenience. The agent handling this location was unprofessional and careless. There was no proper inspection, no accountability, and no concern for customer safety. In contrast, the drop-off location provided excellent service. The staff there were professional, helpful, and even advised me on how to proceed after the issues I faced. That location reflects what U-Haul service should be. U-Haul should immediately review and remove this pickup location from their system to prevent other customers from going through the same unsafe and frustrating experience.
