Your mobile check-in site is the absolute worst design and functionality I've ever seen. I don't even have words for how terrible it is. It needs to be completely redone, from the ground up, to make it anything less than the worst user experience ever.Rebecca H.

The person at the location was awesome my issue was with the van itself the battery died and I had to have someone come jump it the person that came though was really cool to no issues with the actual people just with the van and then the app not working and having to use the web browser instead all in all will probably not use U-Haul again lolJacob M.

The customer service at the location was excellent! Manager Anthony Joseph is, professional, kind and made my experience feel like I am a valued customer. I really appreciated the entire check in and return experience. Anthony Joseph was off the clock , the return center was closed and he stopped and helped me to make sure everything was ok!JOHN H.

The van battery died while parked and loading the vehicle. I had to wait an extra two hours for two separate calls to be made on my behalf to get the van jumpstarted. The first call apparently was never made and I should not have been in the predicament of blocking traffic on the road for two hours, let alone any time at allZachery A.

I ordered furniture pads and when I arrived was told they don't have any. I did mobile check in and I followed all the instructions before I arrived to pre-check in and pick up the truck, but then when I got there, the process was very complicated. It said I needed all this extra information (hard copy passport which I don't keep on me, and they wouldn't accept a digital pictureâ€” even though I would literally be sending them a digital pictureâ€” contact information of a person who could answer the phone immediately, etc). I could have set all that up and planned to get furniture pads from somewhere else the day before, but uhaul did not give me that information. I ended up wasting a half hour of my rental window dealing with that outside in the rain (there is no indoor location at this uhaul/gas station combo), struggling to do all that on my phone. If uhaul is going to have a mobile pick up option, the website needs to be much easier to navigate on your phone. Also I should have been told that I would not have all the things I rented. I had to come up with another option and now I'm chasing down ten dollars extra from uhaul that I shouldn't be charged for for the missing furniture pads, but of course there's no way to say â€œthis add-on isn't hereâ€ in the check in process. The truck ran ok but reeked of paint thinner smelling chemicals so that we had to drive with the windows down in the rain. The tail pipe was bent. I would not use uhaul again.Craig D.
It's mainly a problem that I have with the truck share program. If I end up getting a truck that is later than office hours. Sometimes the website/app will freeze, and the process of checking out the truck is about an hour and a half sometimes. and I'm on hold with U-Haul customer service for about half an hour to 45 minutes.JUSTIN R.

This was my second reservation as the first I chose mobile pick up and a 7a reservation. After arriving and going to get my truck it said I had to wait for in person and the location didn't open until 10. I had the same issue the second location, but thankfully they were open by 8. The hassle set me back quite a bit and the pick up took longer than expected for a car that was ok but not ideal.STEPHEN W.

I only was at this location bc the location I rented from didn't bother leaving me a key. And then had to take taxis both ways to pickup and return the van. ENORMOUS inconvenience when moving in a snow storm.ROBERT L.
I received an email after I had made a reservation stating that my reservation had been changed to a 24/7. "Claire, Your reservation has been changed to a U-Haul Truck Share 24/7Â® reservation. What does this mean? With U-Haul Truck Share 24/7Â®, you're able to pick up your truck at any time. You will need a U-Haul account and a smartphone to take photos with at pick up. The person picking up the truck should be the renter or driver whose name is on the reservation. " So from this information I deciphered that I could pick the truck up at any time and not just at 9am. I arrived a few hours later to find out that my reservation had been cancelled because I did not arrive at 9am. I had to go through the whole process of re-reserving a truck and the checkout process including taking photos of the vehicle and all the steps I did not have to do before when renting vehicles was inconvenient and frustrating. This used to be done by the employees, but now I have to do it myself and without a discount or any convenience added for the same rate as if I had the full service of the last few times I've rented. This location, which is also a gas station, doesn't have the option of paying at the pump, so filling it back up to the same fuel level as when picked up is an abnormally inconvenient task. The van had no washer fluid in it (unacceptable on a day when roads are covered with salt, snow and ice), the dashboard display indicated that the vehicle was due for an oil change, and the front cab had trash left behind from the previous user.NICHOLASF S.
Uhaul was dirty amd smoke filled. I called the 800 number to complain. Also told the attendant. It is covid and the vehicles are not being serviced or cleaned. I had to disinfect spray the entire vehicle.SHERYL P.

The issue was not with the authorized UHAUL location but the company itself. I reserved a UHAUL van for 7am pickup but the company never sent me an email with the after-hours pickup information needed to retrieve the van. With only a confirmation number in my hand + my account showing no record of the reservation I called UHAUL customer service. After calling UHAUL customer service I was told they could do nothing until the pickup location opened and I was forced to wait in the rain for an hour until the attendant arrived. Mess.CHARLES C.

My uhaul was not ready for pickup until about an hour after my scheduled time. There weren't any additional ones to rent either so it made an issue with my moving.DYLANG M.
While this location serviced me well, it was very frustrating that I had to return the vehicle all the way back to Brooklyn after my rental was complete. I wasn't informed that this was considered a â€œlocal rentalâ€ until the day I picked up the vehicle. This team should be more clear upfront in regards to that. Specifically asked for no insurance, both on the reservation filled online and in person. Claimed you need to have it to rent which is false and put it in the invoice anyway. Additionally, the truck was listed as having 5/8 fuel when it had 1/4 and was returned with 1/4 and they charged us for SEVEN GALLONS OF FUEL (shocker it's from a gas station). It seems like the approval process should happen prior to the pick up. It took me over 10 minutes for an agent to approve my documents over the internet while I was standing by the truck. Providing the documents should happen when making the reservation, which requires a drivers license number anyway, and it can be approved any time before the time of pick up.Kristine K.

The U-haul app was a nightmare. It wouldn't register my UK driving license on the check in and on the return it would not allow me to go past the check fuel and mileage section.
