The online element that reduces contact and paper exchange was helpful. Returning the vehicle, very efficient. Nothing confusing or complicated about it. Was well received upon returning. Excellent location close to my home. Will definitely use frequently to reduce wear and tear on my car when carrying bulk.

Improve your internet service at your facility. Also no one is ever available to answer the phones at your facility. The phone constantly rings out and the voicemail box is always full.

Cargo van's driver side door had a handle that often got stuck open, making it very hard to open the door. I'd expect uhaul to make repairs on their vehicles, even if minor repairs. The bed inside the van was also very wet from a previous move. I'd expect vans to be dried or somewhat cleaned by staff between uses.

I was charged twice. My card was charged $76.98 they said it didnt go thru but I got confirmation that it did. Then I had to give $100 cash. I returned the truck 2 hrs ahead of schedule and received $70.32 from the $100 cash. I was told to dispute the charge with my bank. Wait, WHAT. If U-Haul do it, it will be 3-5 days. Are you kidding me? I will never use U-Haul ever again!!! Devine Everett

The gas gauge in the truck did not show full although the gas tank was full. I know this because the tank would not take any more gasoline and I asked the U-Haul representative.

The approach of the staff was rude and uncooperative when asked for assistance. This happened both during pick up and drop off process. We had to spend 45 or more minutes of our 4-hour reservation to dispute the condition of the Van since not all the pre-existing damages were marked with stickers. So, I felt that I was doing a job that I wasn't supposed to do. I basically had to waste the time I reserved for my moving to do your job. This is unacceptable. Therefore, this time-consuming process has ultimately resulted in not being able to fully complete my loading process since the time was shortened at a level that I had to return the van in time. I strongly encourage you to better train your employees and fix your online process.

The lesser issue is that the van was dirty. Outside there was light dirt everywhere, the bed had leaves and streaks of what I hope was dried white paint, and the cabin had leaves and wrappers on the floor and dashboard. The greater issue is that my vehicle wasn't available, and I wasn't made aware of it until six minutes before the pickup time. The email I received had changed the location to one further away. I went to the original location anyway and was told the "check engine" light was showing on the 10' truck I had reserved. There was a 9' van available, but I would have to pay the difference in insurance. When I mentioned the $50 guarantee for the reserved vehicle not be available and the option of having the 10' truck brought from the other location, I was told I would have to collect the $50 through the website, and the truck being brought from the other location would be impossible. I want the $50 refunded to my account since my originally reserved vehicle was unavailable, a replacement wasn't delivered from another location, and I had to pay more money for a vehicle I didn't want.

Have enough vehicles and check them properly before handing off - cleaning was in progress which is ok, I could have waited but flat tyre was not ok. Also large line of people waiting some of whom have been double booked.

Improve the online pick up system. We kept having an error message when trying to scan the barcode at the location over our phone. Thanks to the helpful clerk who took the time to manually enter our reservation all over again we were still able to pick up the needed UHaul Van.

My stuff got ruined with wet paint, the guys were super rude acting like we were going to steal the damn truck. I've rented multiple uhauls with no issues but this time it was different.

There was wet paint in the bed of the truck. The paint got all over our clothes and all over my stuff. The paint was on my shoes and got tracked into my new apartment. I told the man at the lot where i picked up the truck and he didn't understand/didn't speak English well. I believe I am entitled to a refund because I had paint everywhere. I'm still cleaning paint off things in my apartment days later

Let's go back to the old ways in which we can walk into a location give Drivers license and debit/credit card and you can rent the vehicle .... it was too much to go on your phone just to get the vehicle how about if you don't have a smart phone or your phone battery is dead

I completed the reservation online, but when I got there the attendant said that he could not find it and he did not ask for a confirmation number of my reservation. So, I had to wait for him to do it again. Why offer this service if you cannot find it? I just finished with another rental from this morning and the same thing happened, the clerk said that she did not see it. I don't believe she was being honest.

The vehicle was dirty/dusty in a way that made me unsure if it had been properly sanitized between uses (considering COVID...). But the vehicle still ran well and got the job done. The online check is was VERY slow and difficult to use, I would have rather check-ed in in-person. Not the fault of this location in particular, however. The attendant tried to be as helpful as he could.

The guy who assisted me was soooo helpful! (I think his name was Jason? He was West Indian.) From the first phone call to the turning in of the van- he walked me through everything, without giving me a hard time over my confusion and discomfort with the technology. I just want to say THANK YOU. This was a very good experience, and I would not hesitate to rent a van again.

The online check in process could be improved. Asking the location barcode scan first in order to enter all of the other info made the wait longer at the pick up location.

I had booked furniture pads and a utility dolly, neither of which was available at this location. That posed a bit of challenge when moving, but overall they got me in and out with my truck very quickly and made the process very easy!

The hoops to jump through to rent this vehicle were ridiculous. I rented at 630 am, went to log in to find out I needed to either have my passport on hand or I needed to find someone who'd be able to take a phone call at 630 am on a saturday morning. My mother on the other side of the country got called at 330 because I didn't know you were actually calling! What would have happened if I couldnt find someone that early to pick up? Why wasnt it communicated that i needed this verification beforehand while I reserved the vehicle? I had to pick up the keys from the person at the counter, so why did I need to have my identity verified by so many sources if he could have just checked my ID? It's not like it was a 100% contactless experience.

Staff was incompetent and generally unhelpful. The employees are paid to do nothing when the entire process is online. The online representative was also slow and unhelpful. Frankly, your business model is embarrassing and your staff should be embarrassed to work there.

The Person working was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful, so no complaints for the person working. The problem is that the location is way too busy for one person to handle, and then run a gas station on top of! More personnel is needed to make things go faster. I waited over an hour to pick up and then another hour to return because of the checkin system on the app. It's such a mess. Customers shouldn't have to pay for rental time and then spend it dealing with ridiculous check-in that is adding additional frustration to the already stressful move. most of the delay is because of the horrible app, which needs dire retooling. Every person waiting here was complaining about how awful the app is. It doesn't save time, and I specifically asked the representative on the phone prior to pickup confirming the location if I needed a passport or anything, and they said all that was needed was a credit card. Well, once I got to pickup location, it wouldn't let me check in without a lease or passport, which no one carries on them, and wouldn't let me checkout without references. So now I have to bother people on a Sunday morning! Most of whom are not even answering bc they're in church, working, still asleep, or think this random call from U-Haul is a scam. Thanks for the aggravation! I am very unhappy with the experience. Please make it more user friendly.

I am not sure where to start. Your system is broken, this entire self pick up and self check in thing just doesn't work. 45 min to pick up my truck because I have to go throw some silly process on my phone. You should ask all that stuff beforehand. If you guys need help designing the user experience let me know

I, and all customers there at the same time, are very upset that Uhaul requires that we check in twice. Once at home and the second time at the pick-up location. Uhaul claims we save time checking in online, but I've never been to a Uhaul location where they have acknowledged the pre-location check in. I am always told by the operators on location that online check-ins are useless and check-ins only matters at the location. This happens EVERY TIME AT ALL LOCATIONS. Uhaul needs to consolidate their systems to allow a streamlined process. UNTIL THEN I WILL NO LONGER USE UHAUL.

Admin said there was no req sized dollys so he charged me for a large one. Turns out...in the back of the truck, there was a req sized dolly. Buy more moving pads. I asked for some, Admin said there were none left. He mentioned people taking them...then charge those people. Spray Wash and Paint the outside of the building. It should take two men and one day of labor to do this. The building looks like trash. Van was is good shape.

This is one of two very frustrating experiences I had with U-Haul. The reservation did nothing for the experience, as I was still forced to wait an additional 2 hours, only after being passed over by the attendant multiple times. This poor experience was only rivaled by the tremendously poor service I received at the Park Slope location on multiple occasions. Its unfortunate that no one at this facility is solution driven.
