The rental was fine, my experience was not the best because the check-in process took longer than expected and ran into my rental time. I made it back in time to return my rental but the check out process was long as well. After all of that I was overcharged because I don't understand how a $20 rental turned into 80$ when my time ran over in the parking lot trying to end it all !Jasamine C.

The business listed put it down was not open. Asked the hair place next door ( uhaul signage in front parking spot) if they knew where I turn it in. She said just back it up where ever and your done. The trailer was very heavy to life off My vehicle. I guess with the amazing service I had at the pick up location and them helping hook it up. I never imagined I would just unhook myself and drive away with nobody really seeing I left it. There was no Jacks, tire chalks. So I had to lift an empty 1920lbs off my hitch and just drop it to the ground. I called the 1800 number but the wait for over an hour long. Employee did not have the equipment on hand and I had to run to other locations to get what I needed. The employee did not even over to help. I had to hook up the trailer and then the employee just came out to take a picture as I'd she had done it or showed me how to do it. Finally, the employee tried to up-charge and change my reservation. When I called them out on it they just shrugged. This was a very bad experience with a dishonest location!Christoper H.

The location I made my reservation at was not open. When I got to the other location, they had already given away my truck so they sent me back to the first location to get a bigger truck. When I got there the truck was full of garbage. Long story short I ended up without the truck that I reserved a month in advance.Madsheedi S.

Did not agree with the 99 cent per mile. Tank was empty, I added gas and left more gas upon return. I was offed $20 off next visit which I'm not interested and not planning to rent no time soon. I felt it wasn't fair I should have received $20 0ff upon return. I will not rent from this location. I have rented from other u-haul and was not charged .99 per mile for weekend rate. Not satisfied at all. I only had the truck for 3hrs Upon returning the truck, she took the key and said thank-you. I'll email you your bill. So what ever she charged me I had no dispute I thought she would have walk to the u-haul while I was there. Rip Off.gloria P.

My confirmation email sent me to the wrong pickup address in Sumter, SC. It sent me to the other U-Haul location at 431 Broad St. which is 5 miles down the road from the actual pickup location at 4666 Broad St. Picked up the truck and the LCD display for fuel on the dash said "5 miles until empty." I was worried I wouldn't find a gas station before I ran out. There was some goo on the floor in the back of the truck, but otherwise it was in good condition and drove pretty well. I wouldn't rent from this location again if I needed another U-Haul in Sumter, I would just try the other location at 431 Broad Street.Michael A.

Went to drop off on Saturday the 17th during store hours. The store was dark and someone opened the door. Said was a friend of the owner and didn't know when he was coming back so he called him. He told me to drop the keys off and he'd check in the truck later. At noon on Sunday the 18th I looked and the truck wasn't checked in. Went back and there was still no one in the office so I called again and asked Why the truck hasn't been checked in. He said I'll do it right now and hung up on me. I attempted to call the number on my contract for this location and no one answered and the voicemail was not setup. First of all we had a reservation set for a certain time and the rep didn't show up until about almost 2 hrs late which caused us to miss the delivery personnels with our new furniture, so we had to reschedule the delivery again which in return cost us more money for delivery fees. There was only 1 worker available, so that meant it took a while to get serviced. There were two other ladies there but all they did was look up as who was walking in and went back to their phones. If these are employees, then I wish I had a job where I got payed to be on my phone. It was my first time using Uhaul and would've appreciated if a worker was able to assist me with finding my truck, rather than me playing the guessing game with with truck matched the numbers in the keys.Davin P.

The back of the truck & trailer had trash in them from previous rentals that I had to clean out before loading our stuff. They also had dirt in it like dried mud. The trailer was really bad, like someone put a 4 wheeler or something in it. I had no way to get it all out of both, so a bunch If my stuff got dirty & had to clean my stuff. The cab of the truck was dirty & had pet hair all over in it. The truck handle great, especially liked the breaking system driving through the mountains.Paul W.
