The rear tires were way over inflated while the front tires were almost flat but we did not realize this until we had already loaded up. We bought a pressure gauge and then took the filled trailer to a service station to adjust the air and it seemed to hold steady for the 3-day trip so I have no idea why this was not caught/rectified at the rental facility.Theresa D.

The facility was out of furniture pads. I had ordered ten. I was able to make the move without the pads but , if ordered, they should be available. That said, I was given a gas discount to compensate for the pad unavailability, which was fair.John S.
I requested equipment in Greenfield, MA â€“ where I actually live â€“ and instead was forced at the last moment to drive a 40 mile round trip out of my way to Brattleboro, VT to pick up the truck and auto hauler. Why should a customer, who is paying over $2000 for the pleasure of using your equipment, have to suffer this kind of inconvenience? The reason for the low rating is that U-Haul separated my truck and trailer pickup locations, which created a major 4 hour delay and significant costs on my end. U-Haul customer service had no solution but to tell me that this was something I needed to accept. They are stretched too thin with rental equipment and their algorithm for deciding how far a customer needs to go to pick up their stuff needs to be drastically improved.Brian K.

The van was insufficiently prepared to go uphill on a snowy road. Snow tires would have been a vast improvement, it may have Arizona plates, but was rented out in Vermont. As a result, when I attempted to drive up Windham Hill Road, it was unable to climb the steep incline, and slid sideway, with the left tires landing in a ditch. I then sat for hours, waiting first for AAA, then called uHaul, for roadside assistance. It took a very long time to convince the woman who took down my information that there were indeed no landmarks besides what I had given her, the end of WIndham Hill Road, and the address of the building across from that. One tree looks much like the next, there are not many "landmarks" in a deciduous forest in winter, By the time that was over, a passerby had stopped, and with another man, was able top tow me out of the ditch and back on to the road, which had been plowed and sanded by then. The van then got stuck on the snow in my very flat yard, and again almost got stuck in a well used but unplowed parking lot. Not safe!Karen W.

It is a strange place to locate a u-haul center. Staff was nice and very helpful. Especially in giving me patient repeated directions by phone to help me FIND the hidden road one must turn on to get there. This u-haul site is minimalistic to say the least. Be aware that UHaul will send a text that links a way to note any flaws in the vehicle. I wasn't told ahead of time and didn't see this until I was on my way back. Luckily I didn't find any problems. It would make sense for the UHaul worker to let you know at the time. Not everyone is tied to their phones.April B.

Because of the change I went over my contracted mileage, since Brattleboro is further away from where I live. Now I was charged extra mileage.
