BRYCE AOn our reservation, that we made early in the week, we indicated a dolly was needed. We did self service with truck because the location was not open during the time of our reservation and no dolly was available/provided. We had to go to secondary location to retrieve a dolly.

MOHABATULLAH HI was not told that the location would be closed at 3pm on a Saturday (seems early for one of the most popular moving days?) The signage was cluttered and unhelpful. The drop off parking was on the complete other side of the outlet mall, nowhere near to the actual storefront. The app would not work to allow me to enter drop off information (not this particular location's fault, this is a deficiency with your app). Called customer service and was finally told to drop the key in the drop off and pay a $20 service fee the next day (after first failing to walk me through the app and trying to hang up on me). The location then failed to notify me the next day that the key had been picked up. I had to go back to the location Monday to confirm (after dropping off the keys 3:48pm on Saturday). The individual working there on that last visit was kind and helpful and confirmed the resolution for me. Other than that, the entire rest of the experience on both ends was subpar.

Juan cWe were supposed to get a dolly with our reservation and we did not get it. We still got charged for it. It was very confusing on where to get the uhaul and the check in part of the site kept glitching.
AMBER SDespite a lot of last minute changes on my end, your system handled those changes very quickly and accurately, I was able to stay on my schedule. I was also impressed by how helpful the representatives i spoke with were and they equally had enough permissions to make meaningful requested changes to my reservation. Very satisfied overall

ANDY BOrdered a dolly, not available when I arrived!!! I was told I would have to go another U-Haul location to pick up a dolly! Asked if i could make one trip for cargo & dolly. The answer was sorry, no cargo van was available at the other location! Very inconvenient to me , when i had allotted time of my schedule to haul away my items!!! Only one person to help customers!!

ELIZABETH TI had scheduled a pick-up at a location in Dublin, Ohio. The day before I was to pick up the rental, I was informed by a central calling service out of Columbus that "no truck" was available at the Dublin locale, so the reservation was shunted over to the Bethel Rd. (Columbus) location. This location (Bethel Rd.) was the worst location of an U-Haul rental establishment I've been associated with, and I've rented a good many U-Hauls in my day (California to Vermont, Ohio to Maine, etc.). A key thing that Quality Box & Pack lacks is any quality whatsoever. If I were a U-Haul corporate person, I would be embarrassed by that place. The locale was filthy, and the customer-service person was sheepish, quiet, and informed me that they did not have any blankets (I had reserved 12). The blankets were necessary. She informed me I could pick up my blankets at the Dublin location. Off I went--in a truck that clearly had not been cleaned (the back was quite dirty). I got to the Old Avery Dr. U-Haul location and the place was like a breath of fresh air. Thank god! Exceptional customer service! Clean place! The person there apologized for my runaround and added an interesting tidbit: they weren't actually out of trucks in Dublin, only out of the 10-foot trucks, the likes of which I had reserved. She said I should have been offered an upgrade to a slightly larger truck, which they had "in stock." Whoever called me the day before my rental neglected to mention any other truck options at the Dublin location. Overall, with the exception of the great people at Old Avery Rd., this rental experience was the worst in my many years using U-Haul. I'm now rethinking my use of your company, unfortunately.
PATRICK BHad to wait 20 minutes after I got to the location to get the keys. Apparently there was some issue with my photos that I had to submit. Not sure what and was never told what. The trucks back door was open with a cigarette lack and ash in it. Check engine light was on. a check tire pressure monitoring system message and light showed on the dash 5-10 minutes in. On an unrelated note the U-Haul app is buggy and hard to enter text while chatting with a representative.

JONATHAN BHello UHaul Team, Several things went wrong with the whole truck rental: 1- Pick Up location was changed one day before the original scheduled date. I know that unplanned events can lead up to changing the pick up location but that change altered my plans and timing. 2 - I completed the rental pick up process through the app but never received the code to unlock the keys from the keybox. I had to call the location to talk to the manager and go to the office where the manager mentioned he had no idea what happened to the app but he was able to verify that the rental process had been completed and he gave me the key to the truck. The manager was very helpful and cordial. He was very helpful and attentive. 3- When i did the reservation online, I had selected to include a dolly and protective pads. To my surprise, neither the dolly nor the pads were in the truck. I ask that if UHaul did charge me for the dolly and the protective pads, please refund those charges as those elements were not in the truck. 4 - When I returned the truck to the same location, I proceeded to do that through the app. The app asked me to take a picture of the odometer but after I took the picture, the app crashed and I had to start all over again. I did that several times but the app kept crashing. Fortunately, there was a paragraph saying that if I was experiencing difficulties uploading the odometer picture I could tap a link to bypass that step. After I did that, the app instructed me to return the keys which I did. This is the first time I have experienced so many things go sideways when renting a vehicle from UHaul. While I intend to keep renting from UHaul in the future, I hope that you take the issues I mentioned into consideration to provide a smoother customer experience. Again, please look into the charges of my rental and if those charges include the use of a dolly and protective pads, please reimburse them as they were not available in the truck. Antonio MSystem to check the truck out was horrible, then mirror wouldn't stay in place, then I got hit with a bunch of predatory charges at the end.
JARED HThe trucks are clear across the parking lot wayyyy in the back. If someone doesn't have a ride picking them up or dropping them off it is a pain. Also, the app kept crashing when I was trying to return, just like it did the last time I rented a U-Haul. The app needs some serious improvements.

EDWIN SI arrived early to pick up truck via remote checkout. I couldn't get the remote app to recognize my location so I went to the storefront which did not open for another 30 minutes but there was a lady inside and I asked if she could help me even though the store was not open. And she did! I was able to checkout the truck and meet my movers on-time! Thank you for going above and beyond with great customer service!

mohindar DI tried to return the vehicle using the uhaul app but it failed miserably and I had to go into the store and return it. The lady in the store was very helpful and understanding and really went above and beyond to help me. You really need to fix your app as it is clunky at best and seems unreliable.

Ayndrew WI was supposed to have app only contact and it ended up that I had to go in and the place didn't have a dolly, I had to go get that AND I had to pay full price AND get charged for 20miles over my limit. Never again!
Sabra Jit was a hassle, the trucks are parked far away from the actual location, if you use the remote pickup it is an awful experience and takes forever. on top of that, i paid for a moving dolly that i didn’t receive. at the end, it wouldn’t let me dispute that charge either. all in all, stick to an actual u-haul location and don’t use the remote pickup.
