The pick up was very confusing. 1st time using U-Haul, using the app and website, its very unclear if I have to go inside the building and talk to someone for pick-up. It seemed like I can just do it remotely. On the app it shows online check in, and then the app said it was active, so it seemed like thats all I have to do, and that it would charge my card that I entered automatically. I would suggest stating on the app and website for U-haul, that the customer needs to go into the building to check in, if thats what u require. Or just allow ppl to pick up without going in. Adn I'd suggest putting up a physical sign at the location, with instructions. and put a U-haul sign on the building if I need to go in.

THE TRAILER WAS FILTHY AND HAD WOOD SCREWS EVERYWHERE. NOT GOOD WHEN I WAS TRANSPORTING A HONDA GOLDWING TRIKE. THE GUY AT THE FRONT DESK DID NOT HELP ME PUT TRAILER ON AND IT WAS ON THE GROUND NOT ON A STAND. NOT GOOD FOR A DISABALED MAN WITH BAD SHOULDERS. OVERALL NOT HAPPY WITH EXPERIENCE

All the photos required at start are ridiculous the salesperson shud be doin this it took us 20 minutes in minus 19 weather and because of the time we almost lost our movers waiting for us at our home location. What would a senior do that doesn't even have a cell phone to take the photos??make it easier for your customers who are paying for your rental and services!!!!????

Terrible experience. Cracked windshield, bald tires, gas tank on empty. And the truck I reserved wasn't available on the day of pickup causing multiple trips and a GROSS overcharge to my credit card. This feels fraudulent and I am extremely unsatisfied.

Person at the desk did not provide me with a copy of the signed contract prior to me picking up the vehicle. Less than a quarter of a tank of gas. No pre-inspection was carried out jointly. No inspection was done when vehicle was returned.

Don't use Google Maps to find the place ! With all the construction in Bracebridge it took almost an hour of driving around to "stumble" on the location. Once we'd found the location the lady behind the desk was quite helpful. However the truck was out in the yard buried in snow. After sweeping it off and taking photos of all the guages and fluid levels...we were off. What I really DIDN'T LIKE was being told the day before scheduled pick up that there was NO TRUCK in Huntsville !! As I had requested. This required driving 40km (one way) to Bracebridge for the truck. The person on the phone did offer an extra 100km but didn't offer to cover the cost of gas to get there and back.

We had asked for a service dolly to be included and ready for our use. This dolly was charged on my credit card but it was NOT in the truck when we went to pick it up. This was reported to the lady at the counter as well. I need to get a refund for that. Thank you

the truck was ok ... except it leaked badly! Some of our furnishing and boxes were badly soaked ... there was a constant drip in a few locations in the back of the truck and the floor was very wet by the time we got to our destination.

I love using this location when I'm in Bracebridge. The agent is super helpful and efficient. However, today, I picked up the 10' truck and the gas gauge showed as full. I travelled 11.1 km within Bracebridge and when I went to replace the gas, I thought I would simply pump until it stops, figuring that it would be only a few litres for that short distance. However, I was shocked when I looked at the gas pump showing $14.00 and still not full!!!!!! That was at a price of $1.449 per litre!!!!! That means that the truck used more than 1 litre of gas for each kilometre!!!!!! Considering I did not idle the truck, ever, this is ridiculous. I don't know why this would have occured. I am certain the gas gauge was showing FULL (I didn't get a copy of the rental agreement before I left - this location is always so accurate with their readings. I would ask that my issue be taken seriously as this makes absolutely no sense. I rent a 15' truck when I need it in Waterloo and I drive much further for the amount of gas that I have to refill.

We had major difficulties with on-line check in. It took the team member on the call 35 minutes to attempt to solve the issue without success. In the end, we gave up and saw the staff in the hotel who readily solved our issues.

No actual paperwork was returned to me or a walk around check by a uhaul employee was performed. Leaving your name and a # with motel desk clerk does not show diligence that the equipment was returned in good condition. Anyone else in the motel parking lot could hook up the trailer and leave or damage it and then I would be held responsible.

Ended up being a lot more expensive than I thought wasn't happy that there was garbage in the back of the truck but I had to clean up before I could use it I mean didn't stop even bother to look in the back of a truck when it was brought back or was it just parked and no one going to have to ask to see all the garbage in the back. Because of that in the high cost I will look at other options going forward

The service at this location is very poor. No one is there to hook up the trailer. No one is there to help unhook the trailer. My wife was using the trailer and had to get passersby to help her. Not very good! Last time I dropped a trailer off at this location they didn’t register that I had done so and I got charged an extra day! I had to call to get it reversed. Again this is a very poor U-Haul location.

Please note I am referring to the Shell Station in Utterson where I booked this. Bracebridge is where I had to go later (please see below) I showed up to pick up my reservation (Shell station, Utterson) and there was only one trailer that was damaged and un-rentable. UHaul had been aware of this for several days but did not take it off the inventory. I drove a long distance to get here and had to drive to another city to get one. This caused me a lot of exrtra time and cost. Noone offered to help with this (discount for my extra travel costs and inconvenience).

Trailer was blocked in on arrival with no assistance to move other trailers out of the way to gain access to the rental. Moving blankets were not available though they had been pre-ordered online Trailer was not equip.with a jack stand, very heavy and cumbersome to hoist onto hitch ball Inside of trailer was full of broken glass and debris from previous rental One running light did not work, driver side rear tire was balding.

Stop advertising spaces with dimension which you know to be false. Stop taking good money from treating customers without giving them What you promised. Have managers take responsibility for errors they control and rectify issues with customers in a timely and equitable manner.

I booked on phone with Dilnoor. She was polite and professional. She explained me everything very clearly. The next person I delt with is the receptionist at the motel she was also very nice and friendly and the whole Process was very nice and smooth . Thanks u haul team👍👍

The truck was dirty and was returned in that condition. It also leaked and damaged an expensive mattress and computer desk. The truck was too noisy on the highway, couldn't hear anyone in the cab without very raised voices. Not satisfied with this rental at all.

U-Haul Review: Absolute Worst Experience Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I recently booked a 10' Moving Van through U-Haul, and my experience was nothing short of a disaster. The confirmation email clearly stated, "We have a 10' Moving Van reserved for you and guaranteed Saturday, 7/20/2024, at 11:00 AM. We are located at 300 ECCLESTONE DR, BRACEBRIDGE, ON P1L1G4." Confident in this "guarantee," we arrived at 11 AM sharp, only to be informed by the Quality Inn front desk that our 10’ moving van was not there. The Quality Inn, it turns out, is merely a third-party location that doesn’t actively manage U-Haul orders. They just hand over keys, and the van we reserved hadn’t been returned by the previous renter. How is this a guarantee? It’s misleading and unacceptable. To make matters worse, we had to spend time on the phone with U-Haul, where they initially tried to charge us a higher rate for the only available truck, a massive 26' truck. After some back-and-forth, they reluctantly agreed to honor the original price for the 10’ truck, but this was little consolation. We only needed a 10’ van, and now we had a behemoth of a truck, which was overkill for our needs, cost more in gas, and was a nightmare to drive. Do not trust U-Haul when they say your order is guaranteed – it’s not. This experience was frustrating, inconvenient, and costly. Save yourself the headache and find a more reliable moving service.

I ended up putting an extra quarter tank of fuel in the truck at my cost (approx $60) not sure who benefits from that ? To avoid this you should provide some fuel consumption or mileage guidance so we do not overfill the tanks since we do not have any idea how much fuel we need for our trip or go back to the old model of having the truck filled before each customer receives the truck - $60 is a 17% over cost that i cannot recoup and not sure who gets the benefit from ?

- Top of speed dial not visible without bending down. - Speed dial is primarily in MPH, KPH numbers are difficult to see. - Side view mirrors cannot be adjusted on Driver's side and neither can be tilted up/down OVERALL: Trucks are not properly designed to accommodate anyone over 5'9" in height, nor are they suitable for Canadian roads as the KPH speed is very difficult to read.

I booked the truck 3 months in advance. 36 hours before the pickup time they said they could not get me the truck I wanted and needed. Since they left this last minute I could not find another vehicle. I booked the truck for 9am. They responded the day before saying that they open at 9am. When we went to pick up the truck it took the woman over 45 minutes to process us. We took the truck back early and they charged us an additional $20.00 fee because we brought it back after hours. To say that I am not happy with this company is an understatement. I will never do business with U haul again. I forgot to mention that I put almost a 1/4 of a tank of extra fuel in it before I returned it.

I had asked for 12 furniture moving blankets and one furniture cart. I was assured by two seperate agents that the items would be on hand. When I arrived to collect the truck I was told the items were not available and rarely are. It was a major disappointment and serious inconvenience to not have those items.

The truck size I ordered weeks in advance was not available so a larger vehicle with larger gas bill was substituted, I suppose I should be grateful a truck was available. I also requested some moving blankets. This location didn’t have a single blanket in stock! This was so very inconvenient for my move. We had to substitute every towel, sheet, blanket to use (all had to be unpacked of course). You would think something fairly easy to keep in stock such as blankets would be available. I have another move coming up in a few weeks. I think I will try the Huntsville location vs Bracebridge. They have better reviews but they were scheduled to be closed during the time I needed the truck and blankets.
