Picked up a trailer at Virginia Tech and drove back to DC. Every single box that was on the floor, the side of the mattress, blanket wrapped mirrors and paintings..Everything was completely covered in a BLACK powder like dirt, very fine like flour texture. All of that very fine black dust on the metal floor wore its way into everything!!! then all the dirt on those boxes got all over your clothing, then onto the carpet where you placed the box! My wife was livid !! Lysol would not remove it all. Had to use a bleach sponge to be able to handle furniture cleanly. But the staining still remains. Boxes are one thing, but I didn’t expect to throw away damaged, comforters, and sheets that we used to wrap things in… extremely poor preparation on U-Haul‘s part.. Does the insurance I paid extra for cover any of that? The only one with a financial loss now is myself.. As far as the trailer goes, I did check the tire pressure prior to leaving.I think something was up with the alignment because it did nothing but bounce around behind my new RIVIAN. Grandma and granddad in the backseat couldn’t even hear the radio It was so loud.!

RONALD MMake sure the trailer is fully hooked the guy working hooked it up but when I got to my house to load the car up the trailer flew off my trailer hitch cause the piece to hold it to the hitch was not pushed down and fully attached luckily no damage to either vehicles or trailer but in the future they just need to double check what they are doing

DONNA HIt was generally fine, but there was a persistent "farm odor" inside although it was clean inside. Thankfully this was NOT covered up with a fragrant addition of spray or hanging thing which would have prohibited us from using it, as I am very sensitive to fragrances and could NOT have used it at all! The manager was helpful.
