I have used U-Haul numerous times and for the most part locations are really good and some not so good by with great service. This location is the WORST I have had to deal with. Gentleman there, wearing a U-Haul shirt and moving trucks around wearing NO mask. Not only that but had no sense of customer service. I had chosen online pick up since I was told they were closed at 8am but they clearly were open. As I walked towards the lockbox, this guy walks by me, ignoring me when I said Good morning, walks by me like I'm not there. Since I was having connection issues, I asked him for help as he was walking away and his response was “there is nothing I can do since you chose to do it online”' this said in a very dismissive and rude way as he walked away and left me there hanging. If you can, make sure you don't choose this location for pick up. It's because people like this that good companies like U-Haul sometimes get a bad rep.

Let me qualify why I'm giving the pick up location an average rating. The place was fine however the reason it was rated average is because the office was small (as in probably 12'x10') and the guy working there was not wearing a mask, there appeared to be no care taken to ensure my safety at all. There was no hand sanitizer and I was given a pen off the desk to sign the forms with. We are in the middle of an international pandemic and it appeared as though this place was unaware of it. Otherwise the truck was fine except of what appeared to be a decent amount of short, stiff dog hair under the center seat. The truck ran fine with no issues. I would suggest better safety measures for customers at the pick up point.

This location was great I did call your toll free number to start the rental and that experience was the worst. I was told three time that I had what I want and could pick it up. Not true and I paid upfront once and now I have to wait a week to get my money back. You should call me I have more to say but I'm not going to waste more time

Gentlemen did not have mask on, he said it had broken glass in it he took a leaf blower and blew some out we had to sweep it out had large pieces in it.

Have trucks available that were reserved. We had to make trips due to the only size available which wasn't fair considering we had a large one reserved! And then got charged for the extra miles and time it took. We were very inconvenienced.

I ordered (and presumably paid for) a furniture dolly, appliance dolly, and moving blankets. Upon pick up of the truck, I was informed none of those items were available. Imagine moving a three-bedroom home with no dollys. There was no offer of an apology or a solution presented. Just a very matter-of-fact "we don't have those things for you."

Had to drive 3hours one way to pick up trailer. I ordered the trailer with one week notice only to find out the day before pick up was in DEL and we were in Ocean City NJ. Very bad set up. I was moving so I was stuck and needed the trailer. Hopefully will not need your services in the near future. Don't blame covid its just an excuse.

This has nothing to do with the location, only to U Haul. I made my reservation 3 weeks prior to pickup. I called U haul 2 days prior, to check on my rental, that was pre paid. I was told the truck and transport were in separate locations 30 miles apart. Thank you, U haul for no customer service! The equipment pickup took 2 hours out of my schedule.

The male human who worked in the trailer when we picked up the truck had an awful attitude. With a condescending tone of voice and abrasive personality, his rudeness was unparalleled. The best part of our experience was when our need to interact with him was over and we could get in the truck and drive far away from him.

Online systems entirely dysfunctional. Telephone systems exactly the same. No conceivable way of renting equipment by those methods. By chance ran into operator of facility at convenience store who remembered d me from day before. He told me that equipment had become available.

I had a reservation. The man told me he had no trucks even though there were clearly trucks there. I had already had a no show situation with another uhaul location where I had a reservation!!! So I was very overwhelmed. The man told me that I had 4 hours to bring the truck back.. I told him there was no way that was going to happen. I needed more time. He gave me until midnight but still charged me the full rate when uhauls are supposed to be given for 24 hours. My whole day felt rushed and made me super stressed out. Oh and the truck had dirty masks behind the seats. Not very impressed. But greatful that I was able to make my move after the other location (that I had previously reserved) had nobody there to give me the keys to my truck!!!

Check the rubber chain keepers on this trailer as they are dry-rotted. Also, the metal tensioning knob for the coupler is bent on this particular trailer, which makes it hard to tighten the coupler. Other than that, the equipment worked great. Service was excellent.

When I called several days in advance with several questions, the person on the other end was not pleasant to talk to. If I was not in a time crunch, I would find somewhere else to rent from, because of the conversation I had on the phone.

The departure slip for the vehicle indicated that the tank was full, it was not. The tank was actually less than 7/8's full and I did not notice this until it was to late. I FILLED the truck as you are supposed to. That to me is manipulation of your billing system. Secondly, the interior of the truck was covered with mud and the until smelled of cigarette smoke. It appeared that there was no attempt to clean the inside of the truck.

Uhaul moved the pickup location to 2 hours away, the day before. We had to pay an extra $250. We want to file a complaint.

I reserved my U-haul about 10 days before it was needed and had a reservation for 2 days was confirmed. About 3 days before the move U-Haul notified me of a change in location to pick it up. This new location was at the beach nearly an hour away from my house and on a Friday night in the summer it could take 3 hours or more. I immediately contacted customer service and over a week later they still have not returned my calls or emails. I did manage to get a hold of a reservation agent on the day of the move and she told me that was the way it worked. I asked if I would receive any compensation for this extra drive and she said no. When I finally got in contact with her she told me I had to pick it up at 2 PM, it was then 1:58 PM. There was no way I could travel that distance in 2 minutes. She then said OK, she would set it up for 9:30 AM the next day, at the beach. The man at the location where it was picked up said I was receiving 1 day free rental. He assumed it was for the distance and inconvenience I had received When I checked my credit card both days were charged with no compensation.. When I returned home, I had a couple of extra people (helpers) that I had not planned on. To make a long story short I was done in one day and again called customer service to see if I could return it early. After getting passed around to different people and getting disconnected several times I still did not have an answer. I wanted to return it that night. I went and returned it the next day to the location that is was supposed to be picked up from and returned to and did the online check in. A man from the location did return my call the next day and confirmed it was checked in. The following day I received and invoice from U-Haul for $20.00. For what I do not know and U-Haul still has not credited my credit card. Service and customer service is non-existent with this company. The next time I need a rental I will purchase on instead of renting. As a follow-up I was by a dealer in my hometown today and stopped and talked to him and he said he has had what I was looking to rent for over a week and not been rented but this company made me drive nearly 2 hours to get one that they said there was none closer…
