Help the customer hook and unhook the trailer. Explain that the contract is the same price for a few hours as it is for a day, so write the contract for a day.Paul B.
I have rented trailers from UHaul for several decades at dozens of locations in several states. I have NEVER experienced a location that did not hook up my trailer for me. According to the site representative, that customer service is not an option at this site. I guess I'll be renting else where.. Some place that caa aaa res about me and my vehicle safety!Alan K.

Location charged me 100.00 over what I was quoted online. No inspection of trailer. One tire was extremely bald and looked very dangerous. Trailer was very old and in overall poor condition. Felt unsafe to trailer cross country.michael L.

The person that did my paper work didn't offer any help or even went through what I was getting just said "trailer is out on the back" and just gave me my paper work and continued to watch their "YouTube" videos. Poor serviceChayan G.

I would never deal with this location again. The manager was polite and friendly at first when offering to book the Trailer. However when we came to pick up the trailer he had no time whatsoever to offer us assistance.Laurie M.

This site schedules pick up and drop off times that fall outside business hours, but locks the property gate and office preventing business from being conducted. I've rented Uhaul equipment from at least four other sites and have never had this issue. The only remedy for customers who value their time and money is to avoid this location and do business elsewhere.Edward G.
Location didn't have 2 wheel dolly, rear door left open, so box was dirty. Didn't read gas guage correctly, provided no help to find a dolly or fix incorrect information.Eric G.
The equipment was dirty and there were very limited accessories. The lone person there was great and very pleasant. The trailer, while dirty, had great tires, the perfect door configuration, and was in good shape. I went to the original U-Haul location on Foothills Blvd. and they were unpleasant and not helpful. I was concerned that my motorcycle wouldn't fit and wanted to measure the door opening. They told me that they didn't have any 6x12 trailers and my reservation would likely go to the Fortuna location. I went to that location and they had 3-4 trailers, but two had bias ply tires and roll-up doors that would not clear my motorcycle's windscreen. I asked the attendant if he knew which trailer I would get and he said it is totally random. I said I was going 1400 miles through the Idaho mountains and would encounter snow and needed a trailer with good tires and the barn door configuration. He said it was the luck of the draw and I had no choice. The reservation came through the day before my rental and gave a third location. I went there and there was only one 6x12 trailer available. It was dirty, but had great tires and the barn door configuration. Perfect! No issues the entire 1400 mile trip and I washed the trailer before returning so the next customer didn't have to get a dirty trailer like me.Travis T.

When I dropped off the trailer the person in the office was helping someone else and told me to just drop the trailer around back. I could not find an empty space, so I just unhooked (without any help) in front of other trailers.GLENN L.

I called Traffic to verify my reservation on 9/11/21. They did. Said a 5x8 was coming in on 9/12, and I could rent it on the 9/13 as scheduled. The promised contact by Traffic by 6:00pm on 9/12 never occurred. And when I showed up to rent my reserved trailer there wasn't one available. The 5x8 I was counting on wasn't due until a â€œday and a half laterâ€! So, luckily, the was a 4x8 available - and I settled for it. So, please, call whenever you promise that you will, and, ideally, have some kind of back up plan for those times when trailers come in latter than when you have promised them to others. At minimum, a call - so that other plans can possibly be made.WILBUR J.

There were only trucks at this location, no dollies or other supplies that I had reserved, my original pick up location was miles away and this was changed at the last minute causing delays while my loading crew was waiting costing $. The truck sounded like it was without a muffler, very loud and corporate wouldn't make it right when I called after I drove an hour out to pick up this loud truck with no supplies and then had to drive back to the original U Haul store to get my needed supplies. Truck was clean but NOT maintained!Matthew M.

Once again U-Haul has left me high and dry, ruining my move. A thousand dollar in damage to my car and I wasn't even able to move it because it was the wrong dolly. No records of the proper one I rented only three months ago? Seems every time I use U-Haul it's a disaster, I show up and they lose the reservation, or the equipment isn't there - whatever.kevin F.

They didn't clean the uhaul at all. Also I was never told I couldn't return after hours at this establishment and wasted extra gas because I had to turn around and drive all the way home. This was probably the worst experience I've ever had dealing with customer service and I'll most likely avoid using uhaul in the future if I can.christopher S.

I rented a trailer and rep. didn't even come out and help hook up trailer and make sure everything worked. The wiring for the lights on the trailer was only approximately 2 inches long. Fortunately, we had our own extension. The rental was for 24 hours. We return at exactly 24 hrs and they we're closed. Had to go to another location where, again, there was nobody there.Lori W.

Was over charged for mileage and was told to return truck to location I rented from even though they would be closed. Was told to leave truck unlocked and park in front of building with keys under seat. Got to the building an hour after they closed and front gates were locked. I worried about leaving truck parked outside facility on street because of theft or possibility of it getting towed so had to drive to another location to drop the uhaul off.ashley J.

Drop off is extremely confusing. There was no way of entering the facility to park the truck. My rental was due to drop off at 5 pm and the place closed at 4 pm and locked all the gates. I parked the truck by the entrance and followed the check-in steps. Then when I needed to turn in the keys there was no key drop off box available to drop them into. I called the business afew times with no answer hoping maybe someone was in there and nothing.Eric W.
The place I reserved my trailer was the 4th Ave Yuma, Az store. That place is a nightmare. First they wanted me to go an hour and half out of my way to pick up a trailer that I reserved a week in advance. Then Uhaul charged me the day I reserved it and then I was charged AGAIN when I picked it up. I wasn't credited 50.00 like they said because they didn't meet my reservation. Then when I dropped it off, the trailer wasn't even in my name.Matthew F.

The guy made me find the trailer on my own, back it up and install ALL ON MY OWN. Literally told me to install it myself. Did not assist with the hooking up of the trailer to my vehicle. Didn't even leave the office. I'm just glad my wife didn't go pick up the trailer. From a risk management standpoint, this is as poor as it gets. Uhaul should do a better job with QC at franchisee locations. I just hope this location is not sending more people out on the road without assisting them.Chad W.
