Its not a safe area. You have to drive in a one way narrow alley in Chicago, it was hard to find, call the phone number and the guy asked us to finish check in using app then he talked in spanish to someone and some one came out from the garage, we were waiting outside, who barely spoke english and gave us a key. We had to go the other side on main road where Uhal was parked with multiple Chicago parking violation on that. I have never experienced unsafe and shady pick up location with UHaul. Check all your pick up location. It looks like you guys want to make money without thinking about pick up location

If a customer reserves a U-Haul at a location that is comfortable for them. Do not send an email a few days before they are scheduled to pick up the U-Haul and say you don’t have any available and send them to a location. That is a little unsafe especially in a big city. Not to mention the individuals at this location did not speak English, so it was very hard to communicate. They were very nice, however not what I would expect with the type of service U-Haul provides.

We had our reservation to pick up the truck at 7 am despite the location not opening until later. We did not receive a link that directed us to properly check-in in advance so called this location the day before our reservation to make sure everything would still be fine and we were told we would be greeted on time to check in and not have issues. Upon arriving at 7 am no one was there and we called 3 times before someone came to give us the truck at 8 am. Our movers were scheduled to arrive at 8 am and we had to go over time and pay extra to account for the time lost waiting on our uhaul. In addition the windshield was so dirty it was not possible to see out the window and was dangerous. We were not pleased with the experience on an already stressful and long day of moving.

I requested the pickup to be 7am but had to wait until 8am until the store was open, and then another 30 minutes. I was unable to use the lockbox. The uhaul was full of trash, and they forgot the moving blankets I paid for.

Location was not clearly marked as a U-Haul dealer. And then the entire process for picking up was unclear, and the individuals at the location were not very helpful.

The location was not easy to find and I was on hold with U-Haul for nearly an hour trying to find the keys to my truck which were supposed to be self pickup and they were not. And then I was given the wrong truck.

Picked up truck and none of the extra equipment I ordered and paid for was in the truck. Pick up was confusing and staff was not very helpful.

The drop off was a bad location. Uhaul should vet its neighborhood dealers better if it wants customers like me.
