Total bullshit! The Van had less than 3/4 gas and I returned it with more than I got at rental. I also have a witness to confirm! I was charged for additional gas, which is ridiculous! I will never rent from them again, and will make sure that I get word out! I expect a refund, and will make issue without it!

Andrew ZTo not insist that I get the insurance on the van rental , as the agent lied and said it has to be added on my rental and can't be removed, which was a total lie as you can opt to not have it. And, as I did not want it nor could I afford it and he kept insisting that it must go on the rental . To only later I had to fight to tell higher ups about what happen with this, only to finally get it removed but it wasn't easy to even do that. I won't be returning to this location again thanks

RICARD NVan smelled like marijuana, the smell didn’t go away until close to 12 hours after pick up. The cargo bay was dirty, the cab was full of trash. Fuel light was on at pick up, I dropped off with half a tank. Tire pressure sensor is broken. Washer fluid was empty. If I had any extra time that day I would not have used that vehicle or location.

Mary HIt was very easy to reserve the van online. However, when we went to pick up the van, no one was at the location, even though the hours on the website said it would be open. After about 20-25 minutes, someone finally came. Had we known this would be a problem, we would have used the mobile reservation. We didn't think we would have needed that. Otherwise, a positive experience.

Lourdes MThey sent me off with a trailer stuck with the parking brake engaged. They did not know how to hook up their own trailer. When I called they left me stranded on the side of the road to fix it myself because roadside assistance never picked up the phone. When I called customer service they were negative and rude and declare my request for compensation to be something “which will never happen”. When I recommended she not step out of line so much by telling me what a manager won’t do when she is in no position to make such judgments she became oppositional and aggressive in asserting her claim. I then tried to call the self storage uhaul manager and never received a call back. Reading is a terrible place and this is no exception. Only rent here if you are escaping reading.

Colleen WThe truck was a piece of junk. The fan kept cutting out for the AC. The switch had a bad connection. Had to fiddle with it the entire 16 hour to an from. The tie wrap was cut on the blanket case. We did not use them do I should not be charged the $10. The driver side door was previously dented badly causing much air to leak into the cab making it very noisy. I will never rent a U-Haul again.

Rosie LThe vehicle is very old and consumes gas. I was surprised to see that it consumed 10 gallons for a 79 mile trip. This vehicle should not be rented.
Sri AWhen we returned the cargo van, my husband was hauled out of it at gun point by the Reading police. They claimed the van was stolen. I showed the officer the rental forms while my husband sat in hand cuffs if the back of the police car. They wouldn’t take my word that we didn’t steal it. Turns out, someone put a plate on it from a stolen U Haul van. The one listed on the contract was not the one on the van. I will never rent from U Haul again. The van only had 17,500 miles on it, but it was beat up on the inside and burning oil. And the fact that my husband was held at gun point by the police when we returned it has definitely soured me to ever using U Haul again. They still had the nerve to charge me. The $19.95 price per day is a joke too. For four days and 80 miles, it cost me $230 plus the gas. Never again.
Ruth OAccording to Sunday hours, that office is open from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm in the afternoon. I was there at 1:30 in the afternoon and nobody was in that office, I lost almost an hour of my time talking to a representative to be able to leave the truck, it was somewhat in bad taste ..
JUANJOSEPHMIL STeach your employees to be respectful. The guy asked if I know how to use my smart phone because "old" people usually don't. I'm in my 50s and even if I was older it's rude to assume I am incompetent. I design websites. Just because I'm oldER don't assume I don't know what I'm doing.

Jonathan BI reserved a truck AND TRAILER. I got a truck. Apparently no one had a trailer. So instead of like $100 to tow my car myself I had to spend hundreds to have it towed.

Gregory CThanks for the Death Trap experience: Rental Truck interior was filthy, looked like someone shook up a soda and popped the top. Dirty dishes under the seat. Head lights weren't' adjusted properly so no visibility beyond 10 feet. Try driving through the Appalachians at night with no head lights. Driver side head light literally fell out during transit. Warning light on dash. Bad brakes, Power steering failed at least once. Truck shook and shuddered going up hills even at much reduced speeds. The manager where I dropped the truck off was appalled that this truck was on the road. Overall I'm just glad to be alive.
