The only thing that I was upset about is that I had a confirmation number for pick up in Edmonton which is where I was living then the day before my pick up I got a phone call stating I needed to pick up in Gibbons. So the 2 times that I had to go to Gibbons it was my gas that was wasted and I feel like I should be reimbursed money for the gas that I had to waste just to be able to go to Gibbons, None of this is my fault that the truck was not there at the Edmonton location. The drive from where we were living to Gibbons is just about an 45 minutes each was way to Gibbons and back. This was definitely not my fault.Gloria A.

The guy at the desk was rude, never smiled, made me feel like I was ruining his day. I gave a $300 deposit and he said that they be open the next day so I could pick it up but failed to mention they close at 1 PM on Saturdays soooo now I have to go one more trip in to get the cash deposit back the fellow working out in the yard was absolutely amazing friendly happy wonderful guyStacey B.

Location franchise owner was very rude to me and berated me verbally in front of other customers for declining the optional insurance coverage. He was also verbally abusive to another customer on the phone for having an accent. Last time I visited this location, the owner was very underhanded in the manner in which he added the optional insurance to my total without disclosing even though I had declined when I made the web reservation. In my opinion this franchisee should have their status revoked as they are giving UHAUL a bad name.Trevor K.

They didn't wear masks and hesitated to help with putting the car on the towing equipment. We had a very difficult time taking it off to return it. No advice given after I asked if I needed to know anything about driving a truck in tow mode. I feel there should have been some since it was different and I don't know if I handled it as well as it could have been. The vehicle was smoked in previously, and you could tell by the smell and burns. It did not shift into higher gears well at all. It was super noisy as a result. I got several looks while I was trying to drive it. I can't tell if it was well maintained as a result. The equipment was rusty and hard to handle. The vehicle noisy and didn't want to shift into higher gears until about 5 rpm no matter what I did.twylla G.
I have a medical exemption for not having to wear a mask. The employee did not care about my condition. The employee told me that he did not have to wear a mask, as he was behind the partition. I am also behind the same partition on the other side. What is the difference? I personally will not rent from uhaul again. I would not recommend using this facility to any one else. I do not like how the rules do not apply to the employee but everyone else has to wear a mask. If I was not needing the trailer that day, I would have gone elsewhere.Douglas H.
Highly recommend these guys in red deer went out of their way to solve my problem that Calgary created for me. Calgary would not pick up their phone or deal with the over mileage. And was given the wrong information in the yard by the yard people. So I don't want to be negative but Calgary needs to get better customer care more stuff to deal with the volume of traffic. And start taking some of red deer Good customer care positive responses and help me solve my problem overall U-Haul great company great equipment and I would recommend a company thanksMichael Anthony G.

The riverside location was wonderful. After the Cooper roofing location was closed upon my arrival to pick up my original reserved truck , riverside was very fast to help me find a truck that was the closest thing to what I had reserved. Would definitely use them again if I was in the area.Samantha B.
I had called the customer service line to book a U-Haul with a car tow, and received a call the next day from your representative. They indicated they did not have anything available in Edmonton and we had 2 options: Option 1: The closest location with a uhaul and car tow was Valleyview. If we wanted to pick up a Uhaul with car tow we would have to drive to Valleyview (7 hour roundtrip), however they would be removing/including the mileage into the quote from Valleyview to Edmonton, and take $400 off of the initial quote. Option 2: We could pick up just a Uhaul from Lacombe (almost 3 hour roundtrip). We chose option 2, however I found it hard to believe there was no other location with a uhaul and car tow, so I called another location (Red Deer Rentals) and thank goodness for Leo from Red Deer, he indicated they had both the Uhaul and Car Tow. available So we went there to pick up instead. I called in to the customer service line to cancel our pick up from Lacombe and the representative indicated it has been cancelled, and to contact the complaint line to see if we could get reimbursed for our travels to Red Deer to pick up our rental. I didn't receive any information or get connected with the complaint line, and then I received a call from Lacombe Uhaul asking when I was picking up our truck with car tow later that evening. I just find it a bit unprofessional that the information given by your customer service representatives were incorrect, (only location that had a uhaul and car tow was Valleyview, and our reservation from Uhaul Lacombe was cancelled)... We could have saved time and money travelling to pick up a uhaul with car tow, the information given to us in the first place was incorrect or inaccurate. On top of that we did not get mileage removed from the quote or any money reimbursed even though we went to go pick up the uhaul with car tow from another location outside of Edmonton (this was very disheartening). Bascially there needs to be a better way to locate equipment for rental, and when a customer wishes to cancel an order, it should be cancelled so that the next customer can see that the rental equipment is available.Eric G.

They charged me a cleaning fee of 25$ although we thoroughly cleaned it, plus we added gas and they charged me anoth 20 some dollars for gas, for one day just around town using it for less than 2 hours costed me 160$Louai A.

The manager of this store was rude, condenseding and just not a friendly person. He talked to me like I was idiot and seemed irritated to have a customer in his building. License plate on trailer was barely hanging on by 1 nut and bolt. The â€œintelligentâ€ employee explained that it was ok if the plate fell off while driving??? To our concern. I absolutely disapprove the fact that I waited waited the customer service agent to go look the truck over and tell me if there were extra changes. We had a good experience. However I reserved the truck online and saw gas was 0.89/km. I checked the contract that I signed that morning for pick up and couldn't really pull out of it since we needed the truck. But it was 1.43 for the first 40miles and 0.89 after that. That increased our bill somewhat, so its something to look out for when picking it up. Otherwise truck worked well and did the job. Blankets and trolley were good tooBianca G.

Truck was filthy. Probably hadn't been cleaned inside of it for months. Spilled coffee, dirt and it smelled like stale body odour. The vehicle also had no wiper fluid. Office was filthy as well. Branch was late in opening so check in process took longer than it should have.Eric W.

The location manager on site/in person handled an error with the billing very well and resolved the concern. Prior to this, Customer service (central) in the United States (reached by phone call) did not handle the billing concern well.
