The management at this location has changed thier hours and if you've selected a pickup time later on then they will call you and tell you if you aren't there be 4:15pm they are gonna cancel your order because they close at 4:30pm and the staff can't stay late. The place is also a mess inside with no room to stand. They don't have a working debit machine either so you are forced to pay with credit or cash here. Also all the staff have an attitude to them that is not very polite and they just tell you what to do. I wouldn't recommend renting from here and it's sad that they are the only location in Red Deer open past 4:00pm. However they close at 4:30pm so not much better.Kyle F.
It would be nice if the cargo trailer had a jack to make it easier to get the trailer attached to the bumper hitch. We didn't have anyone come out to the lot to help us, so my husband strained his lower back lifting the trailers front end.Darwin B.
First issue was our location we choose that was on the website was not the one we picked up from as uhual stated "the truck we wanted was only at the riverside location." That being said we had to pay an additional 20 bucks for km because it was not in a convienent place. We also wanted a 20' trailer but again none available so we were upgraded to a 26' one. Having to pay the additional $100 in gas is such a joke and then another $90 for km. This did not end up being easier and cost effective at all. I am not happy with all the costs and yes i would recommend the location because they did it all correct but I won't be recommending Uhaul in general.Khrystal R.

Overhead door was left open and had filled with snow, Had to clean it out ourselves, not why we rented an enclosed truck for furniture to get wet. The guy at the counter (Leon) was rude and had zero care for customer service - overall the worst experience ever at this location. Really should be credited back some money because this cost more than it should being an in town move.Christina A.

The equipment was fine the location was fine but they messed up on my reservation which put me behind one day and the gentleman that did my reservation the following day was a complete jerk with zero people skills whatsoever he was rude he was ignorant he was abrupt and he should not be in any customer service whatsoeverDiana D.
The guy didn't process my return at all. Just wanted me to drop the keys and leave, so I at least took pictures so that I don't get charged for something (extra km's or accused of damaging the unit) I didn't do later on. Not impressed at all because he clearly had the time.Sharna B.

Debit machine unavailable. Uhaul websites say you can pay by debit. If they dont have a payment option available renters should be notified a head of time to make other arrangements.Kelsey P.
The unit we rented was in the back stuffed into a corner. The staff didn't offer to help us find or hook-up the unit. At 60 years old with a bad shoulder I shouldn't have to pick up the tongue, which was on the ground, and drag the unit out myself. A little bit of help from the much younger and much healthier staff would have been appreciated.ROGER S.

Make sure that the cargo space is cleaned out and not able to slip or trip on, as I twisted my ankle in the cargo space just after I got it truck. I had to pay a deposit fee in cash because I don't have a credit card, and when I went to get my deposit back the next day I was not able to because the key for the cash box was not there.Karla M.

Very unhelpful. Trying to get cash out of me for pigtail that should have been included. Electrical plug was two feet too short . Had to dig trailer out of bushes by myself . Horrible staff !! Rented trailer from Edmonton who were far more helpful .Daryl R.
Wouldn't recommend. Uhaul/Cooper roofing is a MUCH better location. The staff at this location were not very helpful and not very pleasant. I also had to wait about 10 minutes, both when I picked up my Uhaul and when dropping off because no one seemed to be in the office. That wouldn't have been a big issue if I couldn't hear staff in the back chit chatting while customers were waiting in a VERY small area.. That being said I'd rate it a 2.5 out of 10.Shailley A.

Pick up location the people we're not friendly. And for the drop off location it was 30 kilometres away from my daughters apartment in downtown calgary. Then due to the inconvenient drop off location they charged me an extra $4 mileage charge.Tom D.
The person at the counter was not friendly or personable at all and was borderline rude- I asked if he cut keys because he had a key cutting machine and he said "I am not cutting you a copy of the Uhaul truck key" --Not even why I was asking, and if I were, why would I be dumb enough to ask you right at the rental location. I booked a 10" truck online for only $35 including the $15 insurance. And i receive a call 2days before on pickup date August 27 2022 and they confirm to me it's all set and available. On the pickup day they give a 15" truck and said we will discount the price we convert the price for 10". But when i review my receipt i pay almost $50 same price for 15". And yesterday i receive a email i owed $31.Albert A.

Maybe, provide a lock, just in case you return truck after hours. Small things that you rent can be locked in the cab, but things like dollies should be locked in the box.Susan L.

The cleek was very rude,short tempered and only there 2 mins to opening. Then he was impatient the whole time and more concerned about showing us the horrible and inappropriate giant UFC display for his coworker then in helping us. The case was huge and goddy,had nothing to do with uhaul,their products,the information or anything it was just about self promoting for this employee. They should be made to take that ugly stuff down. They also wouldnt let us use the washroom and the place was packed to the ceiling with unorganized stuff. And he didnt explain how to drop off the dolly after hours and the key/paper drop box is a tiny white thing on the side with no sign that you have to yank on to pull out.
