The trailer had one newer tire and one older tire. When I picked it up, it was full of dirt and screws and had a strong odor that smelled like some type of toxic substance. I took photos documenting the condition of the trailer. I was also disappointed that no one asked if I needed assistance or came outside to help connect the trailer or verify that it was safely attached before I began my 5,200 km trip. Fortunately, I knew how to connect it properly myself. However, not every customer has that experience, and if someone didn’t know what they were doing, the consequences could have been very serious. I also wanted to mention my experience with the staff. The younger man at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. The father was polite and reasonable, but the son’s attitude was unacceptable. He came across as cold, dismissive, and arrogant throughout our interaction. I left feeling upset and disappointed by the way I was treated. What made the situation even more frustrating was that while I was inside completing the paperwork with the son, the father went outside and was working on his own vehicle in the parking lot. When my daughter and I went around to pick up the trailer, no one came over to assist us or ensure everything was connected safely before we left. Based on this experience, I will not use this location again. I will also be sharing my experience with others, including the poor customer service, the dirty condition of the trailer, and the complete lack of assistance in preparing it for such a long journey. The experience there also took an hour….I expected a much higher standard of professionalism and concern for customer safety. I honestly want to be reimbursed or have some type of remuneration for that experience and having a uhual with two tires in different conditions to drive across Canada with…

It had been a few years since I rented from them and I had forgotten how bad it was years ago. Complete indifference, zero desire to be helpful or even provide a baseline level of courtesy or respect. The trailer was fine, but I’ll be renting elsewhere next time.

DOUGLAS Vonly reason why i would is because they had unjts available and they work on holidays. but when it comes to booking and stuff 0 flexibility. i booked a u haul for 2 days from a different depot. they sent me to riverside to pick up the truck and they called me to return the truck. ive only had the truck for 1 day and i ended renting uhaul twice and pay for gas twice because they needed the truck i rented for 2 days. so i got slapped double the bill instead of ssving the money. but hey i guess had a differenr they can rent out to me lol. 🤣

Tyson DThe guy at the desk was far more interested in talking about/showing mma videos of his co-worker than actually doing his job. Waited 45 minutes past my pick up time while he chit chatted with every client ahead of me about his co worker and how great of a fighter he is. The place is literally a shrine of the guy. Posters and pictures everywhere. The truck was dirty. The truck was larger than I had booked for, but because they overbooked I had to take it, which meant I spent more on fuel. The fuel tank was at 3/8 of a tank. So when I brought it back, I tried to make it as close as I could to 3/8 of a tank, but pretty hard to gauge that amount and the guy at the return spot in Lethbridge chased me to my vehicle after I parked the truck and I had to go back to the gas station with the truck to put $16 more worth of fuel. From wire to wire it was terrible service. A service that cost just under $800 for about 28 hours worth of truck rental. And that’s not including fuel cost. Absolutely would not recommend.

The second man that took over for him because he was too busy texting to be bothered checking me in was no better. Very dissatisfied. He told me I had to pay $100 extra when paying by debit which I did but I was only refunded $60 when I returned the unit

Lane NThe agent was amazing. I rented a car hauler trailer. The ratchet mechanism at the front of the trailer were massively worn out and look like they should have been replaced a decade ago. I needed to use my own ratchet straps to secure the vehicle. Secondly, who in the sam friggen hell designed that trailer and who accepted that design??? Those people should be trapped inside the loaded vehicle, just like I was. You pull the vehicle on the trailer, open the door to get out and, slam. The door hits the fender, there's not enough room to get a mouse out (slightly exaggerated, but MASSIVELY FRUSTRATING to not be able to get out of the loaded vehicle). Open the back passenger door, same thing, slam against the fender of the trailer. Open the passenger doors knowing full well they will slam against the trailer fenders. Great, how do I get the back hatch open from the inside... likely not even a possibility. What are my options... turn into gumby and climb out the window dukes of hazzard style, or sit in the car and cry. Just recently had a hip replacement, so climbing out the window seemed fun, and what the hell, if I dislocate my hip, who gives a fuck, right?? Of course my complaint will go absolutely no where. Just lesson learned for me... don't rent a car hauler from uHaul and spread the word to every single person I can and share on facebook and other internet review pages
