With time restrictions, please make sure you are open at the time you say you are. We arrived early and doors weren't opened till almost 10 min after opening even though there were two staff members inside.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkAgain, another really poor service. What is up with your customer service reps?? After everything I went through in Sept I thought I would have learned to not use Uhaul again, BUT!!! I did because I thought it would be different to rent from a different location. Well, noooo...it was just as bad if not worse. I rented a truck from the Riverside location in Red Deer. I needed the truck for 4 days. When I went into the store to pick up the truck, customer service rep was on his phone speaking with a woman. The conversation was NOT something I needed to listen to or hear..someone needing a vasectomy to prevent a female from taking advantage of the man that needed to get "snipped" and she needed to be going for a "piss test". Like what the actual hell??? And he didn't even stop the conversation while he was serving me. I had questions to ask and he had no time for me. I wanted to discuss mileage as we were going to be driving quite aways to get to our intended destination. We also wanted some mattress covers for a queen and a king size mattress. Don't waste your money on those things. They were wrecked even before we got them on the mattresses. Anyhoo, the CR had no debit or credit card machine. He wanted cash for the mattress covers and I don't carry cash. He said they weren't hooked up for that service yet. So, that was also interesting. I didn't get to have my conversation with him about mileage and today I got the receipt for renting the truck for 4 days and was charged almost $700, most of it mileage. I rented a truck in Sept for 6 days and was given up to 835 free miles so I wanted to know what the included kms would be for this current rental. I brought the truck back on Wednesday afternoon, a day early. When I went into the office to return the key, Dude had no time, again, to speak with me and just took the key and said I was good to go. His replacement would email me the receipt with the total amounts on it. I wanted to discuss the milage again with him but he said, I can go and his buddy would email me. Again, what the actual hell??? So, Uhaul....I am NOT going to be renting from your company again, and that's too bad because I could use a truck next week and the week after as we are moving. I am also needing a truck next May to move the rest of my storage items from BC to AB and it won't be from you guys. I will now buy myself a utility trailer and do my own hauling. What a sad and broken company this has become. The cost of mileage is ridiculous. $424 to drive 375 kms. AAAND just so you know, they automatically will charge your credit card the next day, before you have done anything. Truck was $19.95 a day...I was charged $79.80 total. But they took $209 from my credit card the next morning. Why?? I hadn't done any moving or anything. Just went home with the truck. So, weird, awful service, over charging, don't give you the days you book for. They only allow you 4 days, even if you book 6 days, online. I'm just fed up. People don't care so now, I don't care. I won't be using Uhaul again.
