Worse experience ever customer service agent on duty was very unprofessional yelling at customers who parked in front the office they don’t have safe designated area for customer parking I’m talking about parking just to go in the office to pay and complete the rental. The road is gravel very bad as it is a long road to get there. They also share the lot with truck driving school which unsafe for U-Haul customers the U-Haul trucks and other equipment is parked at the back of the lot exactly where the truck drivers are practicing parking. The truck I was given had engine light on I was told not to worry about it my move was from Calgary Alberta to Ontario I told the agent I do not feel comfortable renting a truck with engine light on he then told me to take the truck parked beside which had low gas and was not clean I have pictures to provide. Unfortunately I had to settle for that I also had rented an auto transport which I was told to come back after I load my truck. I was worried about that as I did have fragile items on the truck and with that road being so rough I am not sure if anything broke in my boxes. After loading my truck I came back for the auto transport. That they was the worse service I was provided the same agent who rented the truck to me yelled at me for parking in front of the U-Haul office I was not the only one parked there as there was 3 more customers that parked right beside me. I told the agent to stop yelling at me and that they should provide parking for customers he said that we all should park on the gravel road outside the gate wich was not only far but also unsafe with all the truck driving there (some are just learning to drive) and so much dust they may not even see the vehicle or person walking. This was very unacceptable. The other customers in the office could not believe the agents behaviour he continued to yell at me and the other customers told him I was right and to stop yelling at me at which point I had enough and asked for his name I also let him know I would be complaining to U-Haul he then contacted his manager and spoke in his native language (Indian) so none of us understood what was being said. I went back to the U-Haul truck and waited for over 1 hour for him to come out and connect the auto transport to the truck. During this time his manager called me and said for me to wait in the truck and not to argue with the agent. I could not believe this instead of him asking me what happened and apologizing he was telling me not to argue with his agent. I was never the one who started the argument in the first place. There was no customers left and he still did not come to help me. I called U-Haul and complained about what had just happened the female agent took the notes told me it will be ok if I can try to connect the auto transport by myself My son was with me I have asked him to connect the auto transport unfortunately the lights around the auto transport did not work I had no choice but to take it like that. My friend provided me with a trailer light connector that made the connection work so we can have lights around at night. My son got to Ontario and returned truck and auto transport yesterday. Today I had the area manager call me to find out what has happened I explained to him. He said he will look into it and apologized. However from the conversation I had with him I gathered he already was aware of the parking problem and told me the designated parking for customers was same area where the U-Haul trucks are parked which is far at the end of the lot and in the same area where the truck drivers are learning how to park. I feel I was not provided the proper customer service by U-Haul agent/manager as I did have to clean the truck myself and attach the auto transport by myself i feel I should be compensated for the bad customer service provided to me and the unnecessary added stress. I have rented trucks storage rooms and auto transport (you can check my account) I spent over $20,000 already in rental alone from U-Haul. I do hope you look into this and get back to me. That location should not be operating it’s very unsafe.

Nolfa DI filled the gas to the level I received. Even submitted the online check list. But they still charged for the gas . I called them very next day and he said he will refund the money, but still haven’t received yet
Mathivathanan STrailer not equipped with a jack or wheel under the hitch. I had to provide my own jack and blocks just to get the trailer on the ball, and then drag all that around with me. The trailer was too heavy to lift by one person when it was empty and obviously impossible to lift without tools when loaded. The plug for the lights was in bad shape and I needed to service it in order to proceed with my trip. The trailer was stored at a remote location from where I rented it. By the time I picked it up and hour later than what I expected, my paid staff waited around for me to arrive. I lost a half day that way. I will not rent this equipment again.

. AThe road driving up to the enclosure is terrible. It’s full of potholes. It’s just gravel. It’s very very rough. It’s really hard on my car very dusty and dirty. The yard was even worse. First of all, there is a very poor signage so we couldn’t find a U-Haul building. So we saw the U-Haul vehicles at the very end of the yard. You feel like you’re driving through a minefield to get there huge potholes terrible trying to drive to the end to get the vehicle. When I got there, I couldn’t find the office. So I called the guy and he said it was at the entrance of the yard. When I went back, you can see a small sign in the window. The office building is an old broken down shack. Outside, there’s a huge overflowing garbage bin garbage all around it. There’s dare like vehicles all around it in a couple of broken down shacks also. The whole experience was not a pleasant way to start my move. The vehicle itself was great. The man who gave me the keys and registered me when I came in was a really nice guy. Everything was great except the location sucks big time. I’m very disappointed that U-Haul would allow that. I actually have some pictures if you want me to send them to you?

Ibrahiem KU-Haul called me to offer me a "deal" to pick up from Hawkstone and return to Nolan Hill (my original reservation was pick up and drop off at Nolan Hill). I agreed to this offer since it wasn't much of a difference and still close. However, the return got changed to RedStone & Skyview Rentals. I received an email stating that "I agreed to the change". That is false!!! I agreed to pick up from Hawkstone and return to Nolan Hill. I emailed and requested the drop off to be changed to the agreed Nolan Hill - not response. I called and the person flatly said that Nolan Hill was full and I have to return to RedStone & Skyview Rentals which is at the other side of the City. He said that I saved some money that that makes up for it. I used Uber for a ride so, when I account for extra on Uber and the extra hour of my time there was certainly no saving. I returned the truck to RedStone & Skyview Rentals and parked at the office. I went into the office and nobody was there. I put the keys in the lockbox and left the truck there. As I was walking out to meet my Uber, a guy who was in a U-Haul van parked at the truck and was honking at me. I went back to see what he wanted and he told me that I had to move the truck to the back of the lot. I told him no one was around, I left the key in the lockbox, and I'm going to meet an Uber at the road. He then got more aggressive and told me that when you drop off at that location I have to park in the back. I told him that I didn't want to drop off at that location in the first place. I told him that I have to catch the Uber and it is his problem. I use U-Haul a lot and usually receive exceptional service! I will never have anything to do with the RedStone & Skyview Rentals location ever again. And in the future, be very wary of any "deal" from U-Haul. Not worth my time and effort!!!
Jeffery KBetter signage. I had a bit of trouble finding the office. Maybe U-Haul sign could be larger and could have an arrow or something to let people know that when they get to that truck yard, they should make a slight turn to the left and then go further into the yard.

My final fee was $150 and I only drove to Cochran. I don't feel like there should be a mileage fee. This company grew by offering affordable trucks and now they're getting overpriced and probably going to lose business

Bryan THello, Prior to pick-up I had phoned to ask for a van from Calgary to Regina, and was told I was able to. I then pre-booked the van, as I only had a few items to transfer. Upon arrival we were informed that the van I had requested was “location-specific” and would need to be dropped off at this same location in Calgary. Since we were not going back to Calgary, we were forced to take a larger vehicle with much more space than required—at a higher cost to be dropped off in Regina, with no direction or details on where IN Regina to drop off the vehicle. I was very clear on renting out the van, and am greatly disappointed on having to pay more out of pocket with a vehicle that had a lot more space than needed.

Marco MThe gravel lot should be levelled. My own car bottomed out in some spots. The guy working there was quick, so that’s good. The truck gas was only a quarter full. So it was difficult for me to fill at that level. Would be better that it was full when I picked it up. Inside cab was dusty. The truck was parked near trees and on uneven ground.
Randy PI arranged with U-Haul to drop-off at a location close to my moving site; however, when I tried to return the equipment to that location they refused to accept the equipment as they said they did not have sufficient space and said I must return to another location 8 miles away which was closed and all I could do is drop the keys. Again, not happy with this drop-off experience. Because of the poor pick-up experience and disappointing drop-off experience I would say overall on this rental I would rate U-Haul about 3 out of 10. The 3/10 rating is because the truck actually worked reasonably well.

Ryan JMore than $250 for a 14’ Cube that was rented from 13:30 to 22:30 the same day is quite expensive . The fuel tank was about a little over half full and that’s what I returned it at exactly. The gears on the truck were faulty . It took forever for the truck to accelerate. And I’m quite certain why it took so much fuel for so little kilometres.

I ended up with a truck day rate as the mileage was more than i thought, but that is my fault, However, The cargo van was very dirty. . The truck was only 1/4 full and the engine light was on. I told the rental agent prior to departing and he said it is fine. I took pictures. ….anyhow It suited my purpose but i won't rent again from uhaul.
Louise LOur assigned truck was block both in-front and behind. The solution from the phone support line was to make sure(and pay for) a second booking at a different location. We had to wait for the office to open for someone to assign a new truck, which was inconvenient for the move, as well as for the people we had organized to help.

Isa CI tried to drop off my rental at the Edmonton Trail location first but it was closed and it was very difficult to find the entrance in a homeless, very sketchy area. You should really vet the drop off locations before approving. Then I tried to drop off the rental on Center Street but they wouldn’t take it, very frustrating. So my son called the Symon’s location and they were fantastic! They worked with us over the phone, very friendly and professional, thank you! I was very worried as it was Easter Friday the next day and was worried I would get charged extra rental fees. Symon’s location, you made my day!

Shahir AWhile I understand how busy the rental location is I was disappointed I had to clean the cargo van inside and out prior to driving it. It was new and full of gas but the interior was not clean and my trip to BC would not have been comfortable driving in a dirty van. It took an extra hour to clean the dash, seats and windows as well as run it thru a car wash. The manager Syd was a pleasure to deal with.
