We drove 5 miles. The gas needle was still exactly where it was when I picked it up and we are being charged 2 gallons worth of fuel. We never had the truck idling at all. We drove, parked, turned off the truck, loaded, and repeated the process for unloading. 5 miles driving and $10 fuel charge.Brennon M.

The â€œmanagerâ€ is apparently the only one who knows how to check in items and confirm receipt. We were told to just drop it off and it would be fine without a formal check in. While I appreciate the small town feeling of â€œwe trust youâ€, the corporate world isn't always that way and we were a little uncomfortable just leaving it. Apparently all is well as the check in eventually happened and we received a virtual receipt.Forrest G.

The truck was not even there at the scheduled pickup time. It was 5 hours late while the crew I had to help load it sat around waiting. This delayed loading and caused me to have to take another day off of work. When I finally got the truck it was dirty in the box and in the cab not to mention the cab reeked of body odor and cigarette smoke for the loading and drive. I had to scrub the cab down and put in air fresheners in to make it even bearable. Overall a pretty disappointing and terrible experience.Jared K.

The help I received here was fantastic. I was in a pinch and I couldn't get a hold of any other U Haul dealers on a Saturday. I drove an extra 45 minutes to this location and I was so glad I did. Derek helped me with directions on how to load the car and helped me with all of my needs. As a woman it's hard to feel like you're not being taken advantage of sometimes, and I could tell immediately that he was there to help and be 100% honest. We were accused of putting some scratches on the trailer, but the trailer never touched anything but air. Where we picked up the cars was in an open gravel parking area and we were the only ones in it. We paid for the most expensive insurance we could get so we believe it was a way for U-Haul to make a little bit extra. Otherwise, we had a really good experience with them.Sandra D.

I demand a portion of my payment back due to my incredibly horrible experience with U-Haul. When we arrived to pick up the truck we reserved, there was no ine available to help us. This was during business hours. We waited for an hour but still no one showed up at the Washington street location in Montpillier Idaho. We specifically requested to check in with someone rather than attempt to check in virtually through a phone. We are technologically challenged and our phone doesn't always receive good internet reception. Since no one ever showed up, we were forced to call the U-Haul General number and attempt a virtual check in. An hour later we ultimately we given a code to access a key for the dirty truck. The truck battery was almost dead. We were concerned during our travels that we would be stranded because the truck barely started. The worry of being stranded and the lack of assistance and delays caused us to have a high stress and worrisome experience. How much credit will you allow?Charles P.

When I rented on the website I did not see any information regarding what time it was due to be returned other than Sunday April 26th. I had to choose a pickup time but no return time was requested. This is not like renting a car when the have you choose a pickup time and return time for the rental. When I returned it today I was surprised to be charged $57 for a late return. This was not obvious on the online rental. Will think twice before doing this again.Mark S.
