They charged $7.50 extra, perhaps for fuel which is not legitimate. I returned the truck exactly the way it was given to me with exact fuel level. I explained this to the caretaker by sending an email but I did not get any response so far even after three days.

More than $ 81 was taken from my account. Completed, the agreement was made for it. I did not use the truck for less than two hours. I don't know why this amount was withdrawn. They told me that the rest of the money will be returned and they did not.

Here again, I do have an issue with this location. The needless $20 feel I got slammed with because the Grease Monkey person failed to explain after hours drop offs was compounded by me getting hit with another $40 charge, which on one in UHaul can seem to explain what it is. I asked the store tech at Reston Mobile what it was and he pointed me to UHaul. I called UHaul and the person I spoke to there did not know. I filed a customer request for review of what the $40 dollars charge is for and no one seems to know. It can't be a fuel charge because I returned the truck with half a tank and checked it out with 1/3 a tank. The think is I love using UHaul. In fact, over the years I have always had a good experience with your company, but this $60 in charges, of which $40 on one can seem to explain, is causing me to feel I have been taken advantage of. First by picking up from a site where it was clear they were too busy to be taking proper care of a UHaul customer and here locally, by a site which I think they stuck me with a $40 charge they they nor corporate UHaul seems to be able to explain. I will note I have a pending request for review of the entire $60 in charges. Waiting to see how that turns out and hopefully UHaul reverses these added charges.

The Mobil station is rundown, and the truck I rented was particularly gloomy. The ignition was tough to start; there were two MAJOR cracks in the windshield;, and the exterior of the truck was pretty beaten up.

was dropping off the truck at 445 the lady would not help me turn it in i explained to her the app is not working and i need proof i turned it in so i am not charged another day. her attitude was shit told me too bad the U-Haul system is down and she cant rent or check in trucks. at 5pm a guy walked up and rented a truck and she was in the system so i asked again and she said nope you have to use the app that is not working. wake up Sunday to another charge on my credit card that should never of been their to begin with. this service is poor and its really pathetic that she would not help and she should be fired for her piss poor customer service

The owner took a second out of his day to share stories while the truck was warming up and then decided to help me break away the remaining snow from the windshield. How does anyone know how to fill a tank to 1/2, or 3/4, or 7/8? Why not fill the tank and require a filled tank on return? This way, I don't have to stop mid-way in my trip to fill up and then then fill again when I return when I get it with 1/2 a tank. Full out, full in!

We loaded up then found that air was low on 2 tires; mirrors were rusted in place and not adjustable. No way to pump up tires. Lady behind the counter was not unpleasant and moved us to another vehicle. Driver's seat stuck and not adjustable on second vehicle. We took it anyway. Final bill had a cleaning fee but no cleaning was done or needed. Makes one wonder. Could be just one of those things. Manager was pleasant and agreed to remove charge. I own a business (used to own 2 service stations) and HATE leaving negative reviews; but, these issues could all be easily avoided with just a little care.

The associate at 14040 Park Center Road was not helpful at all. She said I have to go to another store 44 miles away in order to get a big truck. After I took a small truck from her, I drove 4 miles and found another U-Haul with the big trucks I needed. She had access to the information on her computer, but she mislead me and cost me the price of renting an extra truck I did not need.

The truck I received was terrible. Probably no maintenance was done to it in years. I reserved equipment that was not available to me at this location. They sent me 13 miles one way to pick up the equipment from another location, which added 26 miles to the trip. When I called and complained about it, I was told they will add 20 miles to the contract and that I won't be charged for the extra fuel. I was charged for the extra fuel. I wouldn't recommend this location or service to anyone.

The truck's sliding back door is mot working appropriately and Is very dangerous. When you lift it and let it go after the midway point it snaps up and beyond so much you cannot pull it back down. In trying to get it to work, we needed 3 men to hold it in place while one worked with the lever. The 3rd man was a fed ex driver who happened to be nearby. He hurt his hand and screamed out in pain. We told the employees Of the problem and they didn't comment. Also we returned the truck early and during open hours and still was charged the $20. We also had to wait 25 minutes to get started even though we filled out the online form the previous day. i am requesting a full refund and proof the truck's latch will be fixed.

I had to wait over an hour to get my truck, not even an apology. The previous renter had left his lunch from Subway behind the driver's seat. Very disappointed!!

They didn't have the extra blankets that I ordered weeks prior. It took forever to check in and the woman working the register was taking down my personal information (credit card and emergency contact) on her phone! How is any customer-related activities even allowed to take place on a personal phone? Then when we returned the truck, the online check out form did not work so I had to wait for a different woman to help me and she was not wearing a mask. She interacted with at least two other customers and wasn't wearing a mask then either.

First of all, U-Haul changed the pick-up location without even notifying/checking with me first, saying that the reserved truck size was not going to be available at the originally reserved location. That is fine because the changed location wasn't far. However, what really made me mad was that U-Haul did NOT include one of the reserved equipments (appliance dolly) and their excuse was that the equipment was not available at the new location. IF YOU ARE GOING TO CHANGE THE PICK-UP LOCATION, PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE ALL THE OTHER RESERVED EQUIPMENTS. We basically had to hustle and make it work without the equipment that we had paid for. When I contacted the customer service, U-Haul later refunded me the amount for unprovided equipment but this doesn't correct the situation we had to go through on our hectic moving day, calling nearby locations to see if they had any dolly left, trying to get extra hands, etc. Ridiculous situation.

When I was placing an order, I've chosen this location because equipment was guaranteed here. When we came to pick it up there was no dolly and furniture pads that we ordered. Had to run to the nearest Hope Depot to buy a dolly and get by without furniture pads.

All was good until drop off. I arrived a little before 5pm and the gentlemen asked me to return the vehicle via mobile phone. Unsure as to why I had to take such measures to “sign in, take about 6 photos of the vehicle (odometer, mileage, interior, etc), and turn on location through my phone to ensure the vehicle was at the designated location” when the person who signed the vehicle to me was the person telling me to return it in this manner. The gentlemen was perplexed as to why I didn't want to do this and said, if you don't want to use your phone, please put the key in the drop box and you will be charged a $20 convenience fee because it's after hours. This was the most ODD thing I've ever had to do. I don't enjoy doing things through my phone. Why was customer service lost at this particular site? This was an extreme inconvenience. I will more than likely use different vehicle service rathe than Uhaul in the future.

I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a face mask. Seeing the lady behind the counter barely even look at me throughout the entire transaction was irritating. Having the (presumably) owner or manager of this station treat me no better was insulting, to the point that he took great efforts to encourage to use the drop box when returning the key, all but stating that he did not want me to enter his establishment. The truck I rented worked very well and I was grateful for that. Upon returning the truck, I forced myself to wear a face mask for the brief time required. Amazingly enough, I was treated like a human being *and* a valued customer. I even received a smile for this effort. People walk in your door to give you their money. Do not treat them with suspicion and contempt.

online pick up process takes sometime to identify the van ,locker and key. Locker compartment is in the left side. in the instruction, its mentioned as right side. Key from the locker was not belong to the van. I need to request for help. Van had low tire pressure ,water fluid and other messages.

The attendant looked at the wrong truck number and accused us of stealing a dolly and furniture pads. He would not accept that it was not stolen by us or that he made a mistake until my boyfriend pointed out the mileage was off by 35K on the truck he claimed we rented. Then he became irate, told us to leave even after the realization that we didn't steal anything. It was bizarre and we will in no way every return to this uhaul provider.

I borrowed a truck for 3 hrs and told the folks at the U Haul facility that I was parking my car in the same spot I picked up the truck from and will pick up my car when I return the truck in 3 hrs. They said it was ok and then towed my car, which I found out when I returned the truck. I could easily have parked across the street in a large public lot - both that public lot and this U Haul's lot had plenty of parking spaces and there was no reason for the tow, particularly after telling me it was ok. They could have simply told me to go to the lot across the street 10 yards away. Towing your own customers car and expecting any future business is mindblowingly stupid. It took me two more hours to find the towing place, get a lyft to pick up in these corona times and then eventually get my car back, a hassle I could have avoided after a day of moving. I will absolutely go out of my way if necessary to tell people to avoid this place even if they have to get fred flintstone wheels and push their cargo to its destination. When you ask the question "Would you recommend this location to a friend", you need an option to select Hell No, to get a better sense of how bad this place is.

Hello, i scheduled a U-Haul Mobile pick up yesterday at 2:30 pm in Reston, VA. As soon as i got to the location i was unable to pick up my U-Haul via Mobile option (as i initially requested) because your systems were down. I then tried to go in the facility to pick up the vehicle and they were unable to help me because again your systems were down. I called customer service and waited OVER an hour to speak to someone who just immediately transferred me to another line which again i waited 30 mins to speak with someone. By this time i have been waiting to pick up the vehicle 2 hours after my scheduled pick up time. When i was able to start the process to pick up the vehicle Mobile i waited to be approved for another 30 mins just for your system to tell me there was an error on YOUR part and my request could not be processed and someone will reach out to me. NOT ONLY DID SOMEONE NOT REACH OUT TO ME this whole process delayed my move by FOUR HOURS! This is unacceptable and the problems/issues that arose from having a FOUR HOUR DELAY in moving has cost me a large amount of money. I am extremely unhappy with U-Haul I want a refund and will not be using your services again and will leave my experience as a review.

l was quoted that it will be $19.95 plus milage. I drove it about 5 or 6 miles and about 70 dollars were charged on my card. Even the Uhaul truck was in a very disgusting condition. I should be charged accordingly and refunded back. Ashok gill.

Nothing. The online check-in and check-out was great. The morning manager was personable and easy to get along with. The two afternoon drop-off ladies I encountered were friendly and jovial...always a great experience here....I could go someone slightly closer but I like these people....it's worth the extra few minutes for the personalities and consistent service.

The people were wonderful and they did a great job! The check tire pressure alert was On when I got it and they said not to worry about it and the gas tank stopped filling up at 7/8 full so just those issues with the physical truck came up. The pick up Time was not the same as the online version. It was much better to just call or go in person then rely on the online info or emails .

Unless you get permission to build a larger parking lot, I think it's as good as it's going to get. The location is very convenient and the process for checking the truck out and returning was very streamlined via phone. The only issue I had is that I got charged for blankets that I never received. (weren't in the truck)
