The van I rented had a lot of concrete dust and debris, assuming from the previous renter. We swept it out before returning, but nothing I moved would have caused that. Please ensure the rentals are clean for the next user.

The location was fine. The two women were very courteous. The truck I was given was parked behind another truck. It was necessary for one of the women to come out and move equipment. I also had to climb into the cab through the passenger side door. Other than that, my initial u-haul experience was terrible. I was given one pick-up location only to arrive and learn It was necessary for me to drive over ten miles out of my way to pick-up the truck. I received a text from U-Haul just minutes prior to arriving at the initial location I was supposedly confirmed for a truck pick-up. Additionally, I ordered two large wardrobes and one queen size mattress pads online. Those items were to be picked up at a third location. Upon arrival to that location, I learned from the U-Haul representative they did not have the items that I paid for online and was told to pick up at his location. As a result, I have to call another number to be refunded for the items I purchased but were never available at the location I was told to pick them up at. In conclusion, I was inconvenienced at the very start. I was in inconvenienced yet again when I traveled to the third location only to learn the items I ordered were not available. As a result, I drove extra mileage traveling over ten miles out of my way to a new location last minute. I then wasted additional time and money traveling to a third location I was told to pick up items I had already paid for online. I inconvenienced others whom were helping me with the move. My overall U-Haul experience was absolutely terrible. However, the women who worked at the location in question were not an issue and did not add to my negative U-Haul experience.

The attendant was not very friendly or overly helpful. The pick up process was not very clear. I was very disappointed with the size of the truck. Describing it as 15 feet is deceiving. Not having cruise control was very tiring.

The cargo van was not very clean. It had the Need Oil Change notification on and the yellow i light as well. I only went 68 miles mostly highway and it used 7.2 gallons of gas (less than 10 MPG for a cargo van). I will look for alternative next time given the cost.

Only reason not above average is because the first truck they gave me had an engine warning light on that couldn't be fixed quickly. Quickly gave me another truck but not quite 3/4's full of gas. Had to pay an extra $9.00 in gas cause difficult to estimate to to pick-up level when replacing at the pump. Otherwise, service was very good.

Customer service could have been better. The staff was not attentive, did not look up at customers upon entering (said "How can I help you" without looking up from computer screen), and rushed the vehicle pickup process. During vehicle return, staff member did not explain what was happening. Something like, "Let me do a quick inspection and then you'll be good to go" would have made things clear. Small things like greeting with a friendly smile and explaining actions before doing them will go a long way.

Upon arrival, I was told that though they could see my reservation, they had no van available for me and couldn’t rent me what I had reserved. After further discussion, they realized they did in fact have a van and just needed to process it. Upon return, I was hit with an unexpected and unwarranted $50 cleaning fee for a vehicle returned clean and with furniture pads folded and repacked. I was standing next to the return agent while she evaluated the van and she told me all was fine and did not mention any additional charges.
