Did not have the dolly that was requested ( furniture)

Christopher PThe initial truck that I was assigned had a check engine light on. I had to talk to the attendant about getting assigned another truck. Additionally, the dolly and furniture blankets were not in the truck when I arrived and I had to ask the attendant for those as well.
Mary KApp was slow to update and as a result the process became very complicated. The lady at the location was very helpful though. The people on the support phone line were not.
Jefferson SNote that the "personnel" question is immaterial. I did the whole transaction on my phone and didn't interact with anyone. I did have trouble getting the app to read the QR on the facility door to confirm my location, though this is likely an app problem rather than a facility problem. Tried a few times and it didn't seem to take, the app then told me I'd have to do it the old fashioned way with papers and such. Then, it seemed to change its mind and let me continue on the phone (finally read my GPS location, maybe?). No problems after that.
Kim WI hate the dumb way I needed to book with the app. It took over 30 mins to drive off with the car. That’s dumb.

JOSE MThe front desk agent is very knowledgeable and I know she's been there a long time. Last time I rented, she wasn't there, and the owner was not very good at helping (as nice as she was, she didn't know the system that well, which contributed to some delays). The truck was a bit dinged up, and the engine light was on but my trip was LT 10mi so I wasn't concerned. Pick up took 5 minutes (I recommend signing in online first) and drop off was quick too.

MICHAEL FGet rid of the mobile check in app. It is entirely too cumbersome. A customer should be able to walk up to the counter, presenter, identification, and walk out the door with their truck. If you need additional information or contact, requested before, completing the initial online reservation.

JAMES SConveniently located in a gas station (easy refueling). The person behind the desk took the keys and told me I didn’t need to do anything else. I got an automated text the next morning asking when I was going to return the vehicle - I initiated a chat session online, and they indicated there had been some technical problems, but that it should be resolved shortly. About an hour later I got an emailed receipt saying it was all taken care of and I didn’t owe anything additional.

Daniel MEverytime I get a uhaul, the interior window is filthy. This is a safety concern during sunrise and sunset. I want to say, the gentleman who checked me in at 330 pm on 8/9/25 at the lake Anne north shore location WAS INCREDIBLY HELPFUL!!! I had a simple request, he could’ve said yes or no and both answers would’ve been fine. However he said yes and made it happen for me and it made our move that much better and easier.

ELLIOT KThe location was very convenient for me. However, because it is a gas station you cannot park on the property. My car was parked on the road. The van was easy to pick up and drop off. Fair pricing for my long distance move. I'm planning on using them again for the last part of my move.
CLAUDIA MI rented the truck for 1 day and was charged $15 per day for upcharge when I was adamant that I did not want it. I was also charged that $15 per day for 3 days even though I only rent for 1 day. Also, I filled out everything online and still had to take 20 minutes to check in with a person that was extremely slow.
STEVEN TI had a wonderful experience. Beenan at the front desk was amazing. She was very professional and pleasant. She answered all questions and made the first part of a very busy day start smoothly. I would definitely recommend this U-Haul location. Everything was smooth just as expected from pick up to drop off. I have no complaints only a wonderful experience.

SHISHIR PYour service was terrible. System for processing new customers was terrible. You didn't have items ordered available for delivery. Your clerk didn't put the correct fuel at start of service. When I filled the tank it needed only 3 gallons when she said we started with a full tank. I would never recommend this location!!!!!
CORA LHe was on the phone when I went in and just told me to leave the keys and continued his conversation. Later I found out I was charged an additional $60.50 with no explanation.

Wendy SThat truck especially is in rough shape. It clearly has been in a minor-ish accident (it has a cracked bumper) and the brakes were really bad. I understand that the rental spot is self-pickup but it’s crazy to me to have the agent know nothing about U-Haul too.
Kyle RI dislike the policy of starting and ending rentals on partial gas fills. It makes it difficult to put in enough to not be penalized for underfilling, yet there is no discount for overfilling. The gas gauge has poor resolution and the staff will not inspect the vehicle at time of return to say “good enough”.
TIMOTHY UThe lockbox was broken, and I could not access the keys to the truck I had reserved. I had to take a smaller truck than we had planned on and made the entire process much more difficult. The call I got from customer service was extremely condescending and it seemed like they did not care at all about the situation. I will never rent from U Haul ever again and will caution others from using it to avoid this headache.

JOSE AThe automated fuel gage recording/system was incorrect. I am having to dispute an erroneous extra fuel charge. The system does not make it easy to dispute when there is an in-person return process. The U-Haul insurance section on the website is too onerous to decline (have to do it twice). The agent checking someone out should review all estimated charges (not just hand over the document to sign). There was an error in my case where I verbally declined the insurance (providing my own information), but was charged the UHaul insurance on my receipt (I don't think it was a purposeful deceit, but the error could have been avoided if there was a clear explanation of charges on the receipt).

RONALD HCheck Engine Light was on. The closed hour key drop off box basically fell apart The app is really slow. Also, the store clerk had to give me the keys and couldn’t tell me where the car was. He told me, the van was parked up front so I tried all the cargo vans. The key didn’t work for any. I told him that and he tried to open the vans as well, then Walked to the back and drove up with a van from the back. I showed up early and was still late to get the car out the lot. Awful experience.
