Uhaul sucks! Why can I only review location and not their system? This location is fine, but the system that brought me to it sucked!!! I tried to reserve my van online where I was given a variety of options for availability: any location, any size, any half hour 24/7 pickup time, all listed as available. I scheduled a 20' van to pickup at the location closest to me at 8am. All seemed good until days later, the night before pickup I got a voicemail from a Uhaul rep at 7:30pm telling me that I had to get my truck from a different location at 10AM. I tried to call the number back, but it immediately forwarded me to an international call center where I had to wait on hold for 30minutes only to be told by the representative that they had no ability to make any changes to or reasonably answer any questions regarding my reservation. The rep then gave me the 'number of the scheduling manager' to call, which did nothing but led me back into the same international call center system all over again. I had to wait until the next day, and go to the new location 2 hours later than my original timeline. This new pickup location DID NOT have the size van I had reserved. Instead of a 20', they could only supply with a 15'. As a result, we had to take multiple trips. We had planned on a 1-way move, instead we had to go back for a second trip tripling our mileage. Then uhaul billed us for said extra mileage. When we finally got to the drop off location, the uhaul web app that they require you to self return your truck with didn't work. It got caught on a "you must enable location services" error, even with location services fully enabled (it failed to work on 2 separate smart phones properly enabled). So we had to stress about being billed more money for the 'convenience fee' of having an employee complete the return process for us the next day. We ended up throwing the keys in the dropbox and bailing since their return app did not work. All in all, uhauls overall management, scheduling, and web app systems are complete garbage. These individual locations are fine, but the infrastructure they have to run under is complete trash. I am avoiding uhaul at all costs in the future.

One thing that can be improve is the availability of vehicles and trailers in the location I came from wish is Batavia NY, I had to drive one hour and thirty minutes to go get the trailer and the same time to go back, if there was any available in Batavia I could safe some money on gas and some time to load my belongings.

I had to drive 41 miles out of my way to pick up the truck. Very inconvenient.

Pick up was scheduled 40 miles away from my preferred location and I was not notified of this until one day before pickup. This location was not clean, very busy, and understaffed.

V unhelpful. Needed to change the towing ball on our Jeep but unable to borrow wrench from them (garage with a mechanic on site!) which meant traveling home and back again - 10 miles. Blankets ordered and paid for not available.

You charge me $5.00 to keep.your business up. You should have trucks.inspeted more. Coming out of N.Y. we hit la snow storm. WINDSHIELD WIPERS were not working properly. I'm to short to reach them. After arriving my ANTIUE9 FURTNIYURE was WET! THERE is a leak in the roof.

Clerk didn't know what he was doing and had to call another employee to come in to process the pick-up. I paid cash for the truck, but clerk didn't override the credit card, so my bank account was also charged. After calling U-Haul several times, I had to drive back to Honeyoye to get a check from the dealer to refund my cash payment. Having to drive over an hour to get the truck is unreasonable when there was a U-Haul location two minutes from my home. When a truck isn't local, it should be U-Haul's responsibility to transfer the truck to the desired pick-up location rather than requiring the customer to drive more than an hour out of his way to get it. Also the location in Honeyoye didn't have either of the dollies I ordered and no pads. I had to go to the local dealer the next morning to pick those items up. I was very displeased with U-Haul's service overall, and I WILL NOT rent from U-Haul ever again.

If U-Haul would like to change the drop-off location for a one-way vehicle, they should contact the customer before the customer signs a contract. I had my drop-off location changed to another county after I signed my contract. When I called customer support, I was told that the new location had been agreed upon all along. I had the original signed contract in my hand when I was on the phone with the representative and they still refused to acknowledge that the drop-off location had changed. Even when I requested mileage / fuel reimbursement, the only solution I was presented with was dropping the vehicle off at the original location and potentially being charged a fee for returning the truck to the "wrong" location. After calling back and reaching a different representative, I was able to arrange returning the truck to a closer location, but one that was still 7 miles further away than the original location.

This was not the location we had booked. The original location gave away are truck. The whole experience was a nightmare. Thanks for ruining our college graduation weekend.

Have the size of the truck that we requested available at the location that we requested instead of having to drive an hour out of the way to get it. The bigger truck would not fit into our driveway.

This is not a genuine U-Haul location. It's in the middle of nowhere, and their equipment has been sitting outside for what seems like years. Rusted over and poor quality. The location is a dump, a small town auto repair/gas station/convenience store/add in extra. Junk cars were lining the lot. This place was an hour outside of Rochester since it was the only one that carried the equipment I needed at the time. Your company would be better served having that single piece of equipment at a more convenient location, near actual people rather than in the middle of nowhereville.

It was ok except I had to wait until midnight to get the truck because u-haul lost the key to the truck. And I had to wait from 6:33 to 12:00pm so they could send a lock Smith to make a key. I feel the 160 I paid I should get a full refund for waiting so long.

There was a tail light out on the car dolly. It worked for breaks and signals but not a regular tail light. They were not able to fix it so I had to take it as-is and risk getting pulled over. Otherwise, everything was fine.

I was told less than 24 hours before I was to pick up trailer (in a much closer location) that the trailer I had a confirmed reservation for was not available. Customer service representative was totally rude to me and didn't seem to care at all about the situation she had placed me in. I had to talk with 2 other reps before I got one that helped me find a trailer 35 miles away from original pick up location. It was a very frustrating experience to say the least!! I'm not sure what value a confirmed reservation is!! The people at the pick up location were extremely helpful and efficient.

The staff was very friendly. They weren't a full shop though, so they didn't have ropes and blankets.

the store was flithy, and the wrong type of hand truck that was offered literally coated in grease. the dispacther was more concerned with running her little store she stopped in the middle of taking care me several times to talk with others or wait on them even though others were there , that could waited on them. Before I left I went to use the restroom and it was the so dirty I wanted until I got on the road to use a different one.
