Way too far from my location for drop off...added 25 miles to my trip. No idea why Uhaul sent me so far away and I could not get the system to change it.

This was my first Uhaul rental. The only issue I had, which I didn't know until a couple hours after picking up the Uhaul, was that the location I picked up at didn't use my reservation. They created a new one. I feel this potentially cost me more money. However, the people at the pick up location were nice. But one didn't know how to do the rental or returns, so when I dropped it off I just had to leave the keys or wait 30 minutes (or more) for the other person to get there. I opted to just drop the keys since I had other errands to get done. As far as the cleanliness of the vehicle, it just needed to be vacuumed. Not a big deal. The Uhaul customer service is great though! There was an issue getting the size of truck I requested in my original reservation at the location I originally requested for pickup. I ended up with a bigger truck and having to pick up at the location talked about above. I talked to their customer service twice for that issue and the 3rd time was when the lady called me about having 2 reservations (the one I actually made and the one the pick up location made). All 3 people were friendly and helpful. Overall, this experience has made me not want to have to rent another Uhaul (or any vehicle) for a while. But, now, I know more about the process and things to look out for the next time I do.
Cherie GThe person at the Mini Mart really had no idea what they were doing. miniutes. The inside of the truck was clean but the outside was dirty/ dusty. Here is the rub... More than double the quoted cost. They wrote down the wrong mileage. I went 12 miles. I paid for gas and brought them a reciept. Then they charged me for 6 gallons of gas. I signed not to have safe insurance and they charged me. This is not the best location to have a uhaul. Cottage Grove needs one good uhaul Station not two. The Flow uhaul does a good job but need more equipment / rentals
Stacy SThe experience was about a zero. The wifi does not work in the location. I was stuck waiting over a half an hour waiting for the person to get wifi. I was also changed from my original place of pick up online, which was more milage then intended. No discount for that. Also, the app was not working because of the data. I have a national chain phone brand. I had to hold my phone and redo the check in, and out multiple times. The original location which I was told was not much farther, I do not understand why they could not have had the truck brought to that location in town with internet.
Anson SThe person helping didn't know what they were doing and it took 30 minutes to do what should've taken 5. There also weren't enough moving blankets for what I reserved. We had to open the packages to prove to him that it was incorrect.
