Changed for an additional full day for an hour and it was not explained.

JOSEPH TThe service from the guy wasn’t bad. But the return is horrible I currently have a pending dispute open about what I was charged for. I had the truck for about eight hours and only drove 44 miles. But when I returned it they were closed. I had filled up the truck before I returned it and the inspection I received my receipt and it says that it’s at a quarter tank how is that possible if I only drove 44 miles and filled up the truck after use. That sounds like an equipment fall not mine and I should not be charged $5.30 a gallon due to something I’m not at fault for. And I know U-Haul is a big corporate company so this is more of their fault than the location. I rented it from because all they do is put in the numbers. But even talking to a service representative, they kept insisting and asking if I filled it up prior to return. And although I said yes. Regardless of if I filled it up or not, it wouldn’t be at a quarter tank.
LAEL RStaff was friendly and helpful. We had a problem with early hour pick up and they went above and beyond to help fix the situation.
AARON VIt took 1.5 hours to get lock off of key box. Spoke with 4 reps during this time, everytime they transferred the call I was sent to a recording of hours, no one to speak to. Extremely frustrating!!
Jacqueline EInside the passenger department had a horrible smell. Really need deodorizing or detailing before renting out to the next customer.

ROYAL DThe keys were not in the box when we arrived at 8am (as we scheduled) so we had to come back at 10am when they opened, to get the keys. Turned out the employee from the night before forgot to put them in the pickup box outside. Then the requested dolly wasnt in the truck. They gave us a different dolly, but the truck we had didnt have a ramp, so the dolly was basically useless. The employee did the best he could but we lost several hours and ended up working in the high heat of AZ instead of early morning as planned, and I overheated as a result and almost passed out. So sufficed to say, unfortunately I'm not happy with the experience.
Lee HI was charged for fuel even though I brought it back with more fuel in the tank. Vehicles need digital readout of fuel remaining to avoid this.

TOMMY SAgain, I was charged an additional amount of money, approximately $41, because the truck was returned over the specified amount mileage wise. I was not given extra miles to travel from the locations. I had to pick my equipment up. Thus I went over the mileage. I was told on the phone that an additional hundred miles would be added, and it wasn’t and I ended up paying for it. This resolution is totally unset. My overall experience with U-Haul at this point in time is far below what I expected.

BRADLEY MI had no issues with this location. However, your location on Golf Links and Wilmot was the worst service I have ever had when dealing with U-Haul. I went there originally to rent a 5x8 trailer I purchased an hitch package including light kit from them about the last week in May, but did not need the hitch installed until 6/25 . I had a trip planned for 6/10-6-24 so I left my car with them on 6/18 so they had the whole week to work on it. When I went to pick up the car on 6/24 I was told that they were sorry but the Manager had Given my key fob to another customer and they hadn't been able to get in touch with her. I asked to speak to the manager who was off that day and he refused to talk to me on the phone. There is alot more to this situation and if at all possible I would like to speak to the owner of this locationto explain the whole situation to home There should be some phone records where my daughter-in-law and myself called customer service as well.
JOANNE SI was charged for a utility dolly that was not provided. I sent pictures of the empty truck, but was unable to move forward with the truck check-in without paying the utility dolly fee that I was not provided. I would like a refund

WENDI FThe truck had not been cleaned on the inside. Before I could place my furniture inside the truck, I needed to sweep out all of the debris and dust that had accumulated from prior uses. It was a little disappointing because I had to travel further out to pick up this size u-haul because the location I originally reserved on at 1265 E Benson Hwy, Tucson, AZ 85713 notified me that the vehicle I reserved had been returned in poor condition. Although I recognized that it was beyond my control, I wasn't anticipating to pick up a dirty truck 13 miles away. The average rating is solely based on the condition of the U-haul I left in. I had no issue with the gentlemen who helped me when checking in. He was kind, polite and provided excellent customer service.
ANGEL JA much better experience in all ways than the last time I rented a trailer about a year ago. Website was better and customer service was top notch

Mark RThey did not have the equipment needed - and I had to go to another location to get the appliance dolly I needed. WORSE.... I had to pay the mileage on the truck to go the 20 Miles OUT of the way to pick up the needed dolly. This was after I was shuffled from the location I thought I'd was picking up the reserved truck.... to a second location.. I have no idea how the reservation was even changed to the second location. It was VERY frustrating as I only needed the truck to transport a fridge. for about an hour..... but it was and added hour by the time I got the needed truck from the second location - then had to go to the 3'd one for the appliance dolly. I AM NOT AN EMPLOYEE OF UHAUL.... and felt like I was the one having tro put all the rental needs together. The INDICIDUAL at this location was as helpful as he could be.... but could not do anything. Overall rating above is based on the equipment reserved NOT being ready - or the location I reserved it at....and then chasing about to get it. Horrible.
