When you set up sites at these minor gas stations, clerks are clueless about the equipment and the U-Haul process. I was double billed for the 1-day use of a vehicle dolly. The driver-side trailer light was not working at pick-up but I took it anyway because it would have been near impossible to upgrade to a larger 4-wheel vehicle trailer. At least one wheel was bent or way out of balance and vibrated horribly for the entire trip. One wheel strap is badly frayed and needs to be replaced. Upon return, the kid running the store had no clue about the return process or reporting maintenance needs. I called the U-Haul 800 line to make sure the return was logged in. I would not use U-Haul if any other option were available. Pressure to create more sites each month has diluted the company's quality and service.

The trailers are sitting on the ground making it hard for anyone who is trying to hook up alone. They don’t come with a jack stand or even a block to rest the trailer on. I highly recommend them getting the trailer jacks because those trailers aren’t light lift.
