barry kThis is the nearest location to our home (90 kms) to return the trailer we rented. Parking spaces for returning are limited and there is only one attendant who also has to take care of all the duties of running a gas station and parcel pickup service. The check-in process took quite a while due to the slow computer and interruptions from other clients, but the attendant was quite helpful and assisted with uncoupling the trailer. The location works (if necessary), but be prepared to wait.
DONALD AI returned a car dolly and car hauler one week apart and delivered to this address. Not once did a staff member assist in parking, unhooking or inspecting the trailer. I would have explained that I washed the trailer in good faith and reason for my vibrated trip due to negligence in proper equipment care. So who cares? just another complaint on deaf ears. Hopefully not.
brian jI prepaid for an extra 100 KM and thought I was getting reimbursed for what I didn’t use.

Ross YMade sure the gas was exactly at the same level when we picked it up. Returned the truck a day early and didn’t get a reimbursement. Also was charged extra mileage, moving across B.C. should be unlimited mileage. Also in rock creek , there’s only one attendant for the whole esso, was a long process.
Tavia RTold me i would have an approved changed drop off location. Was charged 350$ to drop it off.
KYLE PComputer system was very slow, personnel stood and watched the screen and did not engage me for 15 minutes. Said I could not leave until it was complete. Would not go out and conduct an inspection, said he would do that later.
GORDON WDrop off dealer was rude and unprofessional! Told dealer about leak in truck box! Didn't care no help how to get re-imbursment.
DEREK HThe gentleman helping me was kind and did his best. His name was Jag. The check in process too forever!! The poor fellow did not know how to hook up an auto tower or load the vehicle onto the trailer. He tried and I'm not and wasn't upset with him. I am upset with UHaul as they never have what I book, I had to go to a different - further - location and they do not train anyone to ensure you are safely on the road. Horrible experience. ALSO....I still do not have my deposit back from a trip I rented a truck for last year!!!!!! If there was ANY other price comparable option I would choose them well over UHaul ever again.
Heidi SThe uhaul was booked for rock creek to Nanaimo. When picked up the drop off location was changed and we were not informed that it would be $300 more. I am now fighting to get the $300 returned.
LAWRENCE CCharge 50 dolars just for 1/2 hour late ?? I RENTED FOR 5 hours the rate was 90 dollars so I paid more than half price just for 30 min , you are the worst
BRIAN RAT4789X (License plate CCE547-ID) We rented this trailer to transport our 2006 Chrysler SRT one way from Midway, BC to Kelowna. BC. We assumed everything would be provided. 1) The transport trailer 4 pin connection was too short...it was only able to be plugged in to the 20' u-haul straight on..with no extra give in the wire. Any movement to turn left or right pulled the pin plug out of the socket. We picked the trailer up in Rock Creek and he had no extensions to accommodate the too short pin plug. 2) You could W-40 the rotating handle joint that raised and lowered the hitch stand. It was very stiff while we were turning it around and around to raise the trailer transport up. 3) Maybe give some instruction to your pick up locations on how they can guide a new person renting a trailer transport for the first time. We didn't realize the sides above the tires could swing down giving access to the car doors to be able to swing open. The rental guy didn't know anything about how to operate the trailer transport. We figured it out after climbing through the trunk of the car to pack stuff inside the car.
Michelle CAll was good, however the computer did not take into account t the special agreed upon price for us to return van to Fort St John where it was needed, I didn’t notice until the morning of the 15th (that’s ok Madeline in Florida help desk caught the issue & fixed it). **note - lots of emails and texts but can’t read them when you are driving and then balls to the wall unloading all day - was sent notice to return to Chetwynd, good thing I called Madeline as that was sent in error.
PATRICIA GWe had a problem with the parking brake during pick up and there was no one who knew how to engage it so I could be on my way. The 6x12 Uhaul was old and damaged and the inside all scratched up and filthy, I made sure to get her to take pictures because I wasn't about to be blamed for it's condition. We had to clean it before loading it. For long hauls you should really make sure the trailers are in full working order and maintained for security, even the latch to the hitch wouldn't quite attach properly without a few men dropping it on. Was not an easy or smooth experience. You need to have more knowledgeable Uhaul installers at every location. You also didn't have a dolly which I reserved and I had to find out when I got to the location to pick up that there was none available. I wasn't too impressed.
Bryna WMake sure tires aren't flat when you receive a reservation.
DARRIN JThe truck windshield and mirrors were very dirty. The auto transport was no there and I had to drive 1:30hr to pick it up. Staff was not helpful when, I had to deal with Uhaul on the phone about the trailer and talk to 3 different people with three different answers. Not happy at all with the service
Duane FThe people were pretty nice and it was simple pick up, however the Uhaul was not ready when we received it. We had to wait for our dolly to be moved into our truck, along with the dolly being very old and barely working. It was easier to pick it up then roll the thing. The Uhaul itself was also very damaged, it was difficult to open the door on the back and the steering wheel had to be sideways just to keep the wheels straight. The truck also had an overwhelming smell of animal and cigarettes on the inside, and it only had a quarter tank of gas when the next station from that location was over 200 kilometres away. After all this they messed up my whole drop off location, changed it, didn’t call me, then blamed me about it when I dropped it off at my original location. I was on hold for over an hour trying to fix their mistake just to be told not to worry about it in the end. Now I received a final bill and realize they charged me for fake damages, nothing was wrong with the truck that wasn’t already wrong with it when we got it, and I dropped it off with a full tank of gas. Give me my money back. $200+ for fake damages.

Barbara KDidnt speak english very well and tried to enter the fuel level lower than actual and when called out on it got pissy. Also did i say didnt barely speak english IN CANADA in a customer service position.
Carson MPerson at counter was really helpful when the app failed to work (bad cell connection + buggy app + km -- miles conversion impossible in app) suggest you add signage to where to park. otherwise okay.
Tom EWe were told to return the vehicle with 3/4 tank. The vehicle was returned and had just slightly above that. Personnel said we returned with less (I have a photo) and wanted me to pay a $43 fuel charge. I told them I wasn’t paying a thing and that I had a photo of the mileage and fuel gages. They quickly changed their mind and said I did not have to pay.
Terri IToo far for pick up for where I was going. 5 hour return. No spare tire. Trailer reach sitting on ground, heavy to pickup and place on hitch.
Phillip EWe were very happy with the staff being so accommodating as we changed our pick up date a few times. But wife was not happy with the cleanliness of the truck.
James DHave the ordered blankets on site as requested.
William CThey gave me a truck that consumed too much gas. From Rock Creek to Edmonton, it cost me $600 in gas, and then I had to pay $1200 to U-Haul. A very frustrating experience, as the truck was not well-maintained.
Bhupinder SI made a reservation for a 2 day rental, but no one at U Haul picked up on that and chased me down for not returning the small trailer the next day. When it was returned, as per the original reservation, I was charged another $30 for the second day. In addition to this, when I picked the trailer up in Rock Creek, I was denied the opportunity to pay cash, I was forced into using a Credit Card that I did not want to use, I had the cash but the clerk refused to take it, very poor indeed.
William HAll good
John KMake sure all info from pickup has been sent to the drop off to avoid the issue we had of trying to charge us extra, which were things we were promised at no cost.
brandon kI had a bit of trouble parking the trailer but it all worked out. Staff here was helpful. Also, as I reported to U-Haul, a deer damaged the trailer fender near Brandon Manitoba and I'd just like to add that the person I reported that to was also very helpful and clearly very good at her job.
Dustin GFriendly. Simple drop off, nothing special.
Drayton MBeeing over charges on km is not acceptable. I rented it at 89 cent per km and i get charge 99 cents!!
ERIC CShe was very friendly and polite
DEREK RAnother agent not interested in customer retention.
Brielle JThe location was quite far from our desired area and where the previous location was in Grand Forks. The staff at Rock Creek though were helpful and pleasant.
Trevor RUnfortunately for me this location was the closest one available. Much further than I could have imagined ( in the middle of nowhere to be honest ) overcharged for the retirements of this vehicle and it leaked severally during the rain soaking all of my cardboard boxes.
Nigel HVery friendly and helpful
Pat WThe young woman managing the establishment was most helpful and an absolute pleasure to be around, great customer service!
Jason VDrop off at this location went very smoothly and staff was efficient and polite.
Danna Lno comment it was all good for us
JEANNETTE TWorkers should be givin some a bit of course on how to run the place
samuel fThis location is pretty far off the beaten path. It’s not their fault but it would be better if there was a drop off in the larger Center such as Grand Forks.
John YThe system wasn’t working (not fault of attendant). I had to call scheduling to check in and be able to get the keys so pick up took at least 45 min. The windshield was completely dirty (likely due to location’s proximity to the highway) Also, I was forced to this location (2 hr round trip) from Grand Forks and drove past at least 5 equivalent trucks on my way. Uhaul needs to understand this is not a drive through a city but a drive through mountain passes which impacts fuel costs significantly.
Alexandria RExcept we were charge almost 1/4 of a tank of gas that we didn't use. The print out said one thing and our photo we had when we let shows a much lower amount of Fuel when we pick Ed it up
Amy WThe location originally was no longer taking drop offs , the new location was not set up to get my deposit back. I would love my deposit back thanks
Justin CThis pickup was a total disaster. I had a reservation at the Greenwood location and arrived there to find out the truck was out of service and that the regional manager Sam was supposed to call me. The clerk kept trying to get a hold of Sam who wasn’t answering. I had to call customer service and figure out where to get a vehicle and they send me to Rock Creek, 45 minutes away. Rock Creek says they are not ready for rentals yet and try to call Sam, who is their regional manager too. Sam is not available. I have to call customer service and pass the clerk my phone so they can talk him through how to do a rental. Overall, getting a truck took almost three hours. What this area really needs is a better regional manager.
