great customer service at this location and they always have the trucks that I need. I rent two to three times a month so that's important. It's also important that the trucks are well maintained and ready to go when I need them

PAMELA HDo you have any rating below "Poor?" How about "Disastrous?" The young lady with whom I dealt wasn't interested in dealing with me, too busy vaping (in a gym, no less!) and totally flustered by having more than one customer at a time. She could not find the drop-off location on her system, so she just picked one (New York City, no less!). She never printed out any paperwork for me, telling me it would all be handled at the drop-off. When I received the contract via email later that day that indicated a price twice the amount I was quoted, I called and spoke to her and she again said everything would be handled at drop-off. She also tried to charge me for insurance, which I had specifically declined. I realize that this was a franchise location, but U-Haul's image took a mighty blow through this experience.

Robb HRocky and the location was helpful; When I opened door of the truck there was food on seats and cup holders spilled dried up coffee; floors not vacuumed ; I requested help with cleaning and Rocky staff wiped down the vehicle so I was able to sit in seat and drive; truck was never vacuumed or swept clean from the prior users.

However, the experience at drop-off was less organized, and the level of assistance did not match my initial interaction.
Laressa Donly recommend if necessary but I was overcharged milage & fuel charges. truck milage when picked up was a 12 mile difference (photograph taken during walk around) as was gas slated at more than was in truck also photographed.
John PMy rental experience was a nightmare. I was supposed to pick up the moving truck in Hyannis, but on the day of the scheduled pickup, U-Haul notified me by phone that I needed to pick it up in East Falmouth, which is further down the Cape. They claimed they had sent me an email about this change, but I did not see it at the time of driving to the original destination. When I arrived at Rocky's Gym in East Falmouth, I was instructed to go up the street to get the truck. Upon arriving at that location, I found the truck parked on the lawn of an abandoned house and stuck in the mud. It took two hours for the truck to be removed from that spot, during which my movers were charging me for those additional two hours. The fuel gauge showed that the truck was close to empty and needed gas. All of this was happening during a snowstorm. When I finally reached the location where I was supposed to move and opened the back of the truck, I discovered that none of the equipment I had requested (the furniture dolly, appliance dolly, and moving blankets) was there. Daylight was quickly fading, making the pickup and delivery process even more urgent. I contacted a U-Haul service representative to report my issues and place a formal complaint. They told me that a manager would contact me after reviewing my case within three business days, which meant I would hear back by Wednesday of the following week. They also informed me that I needed to drop off the vehicle and make my payment before any further action could be taken. I returned the truck to the drop-off point on the same day as the move. On Monday, I received the transaction details from Rocky's Gym and Country Rentals, and the drop-off center charged me for an additional 21 miles over the limit of 59 miles, along with gas charges. They also charged me an extra day fee of $40, which I did not have the truck and had dropped off on the same day I took it. The drop-off location was a business closed for the winter, and no person was on site. I couldn't believe they were also charging me for the additional miles caused by their change in my original pickup location and for gas that was not provided initially. I have not heard back from UHAUL management and expect to hear from them by tomorrow.

Fabio MTerrible customer service. No available equipment besides the truck, and the person working the desk did not remove the items from my original rental contract or make any effort to explain why or how I could find the tools to help with my move. The Hyannis location, on the other hand, was amazing in the middle of all of this when I needed boxes and other items. They helped put a note on my original contract to get the charges removed, and the regional rep who called to apologize for the bad service at Rocky's was also fantastic in helping get the charges reduced. Save yourself from stress, rent from a full service location like the one in Hyannis even if you have to drive an extra distance. Ricky's 0/10 do not recommend.

Dennis MDrop off was annoying through the app - verizon cell phone service is weak in the area so trying to do check out through the app was a frustrating (failed) experience. It was an easy drop off location. There was no "person" there to help - just a drop box for the key. Parking was very limited for drop off - I took the last spot.

James HWe believe we were overcharged. We did 73 miles and were charged for 95 miles, which amounts to an overcharge of $30.58. We only went from the U-Haul at Rocky's Gym to Marion, MA, and came back via our home address then back to the U-Haul location. That's is not 95 miles but 73 miles in total. We can only deduce that previous renter lied about the mileage they did and told the U-Haul manager that the vehicle mileage was 96,650, which it could not have been as it was 96,745 when we returned the vehicle.
Andrew SThe truck was a mess with only half a tank of gas and sticky spilled drinks and food within the cab... it smelled awful. The location had no dolly to rent, and then on top of it all, once driving for our 900 mile move, we realized that there was no working A/C. We did tell the agent upon drop off and he said he would see about getting us some type of refund, but that was not reflected on final bill/payment taken. It did the job, but considering how much it cost, a dolly and A/C could be supplied and provided. Also, maybe a quick wipe down between rentals and some febreeze would be nice too.

Stephen MI have a problem - the dolley dented the rocker panels on my car / I’ve not had this issue in 5 or more rentals - never thought it was possible - please advise how to handle this
ANDREW GExperience at Rocky's was Very Good. Unfortunately we were forced to find this location at the very last minute due to an AWFUL experience at the Hyannis, MA U-Haul. We had booked reservations there several weeks earlier and upon arrival there was no equipment available that day without any notice and absolutely no assistance to find any other equipment.
John NThe truck I booked wasn’t available. Uhaul changed it to a 15 ft truck instead of a 10. That wasn’t available. I was then able to use a truck that was for sale. It did work fine though. I had to wait 45 mins to get a truck. Very frustrating experience
denise bU-Haul app told me that equipment was not ready despite verifying by phone earlier same day. Had to call customer service with long wait times only to find they could not remedy the problem. Called local number listed at location and was able to resolve it locally. Frustrating process. Why is customer service not linked to local pick up locations?

KATHLEEN RI tried twice to rent from this location. The first time I made a reservation online for a van and went to pick it up, but the person said at the location couldn’t help me and tried to contact the owner. After waiting 45 minutes, I gave up and left. Then I tried a second time and again had to wait on the owner to complete my reservation. He added on an additional optional $45 insurance without asking me. When I turned the truck in, I asked the person to have the owner call me about, but he never did. I am VERY disappointed with how this was run.

Robert CEquipment was dirty. Side mirror on van was smashed. Van smelled like urine. I was supposed to be able to pick up the van using the app. It didn’t work requiring me to go into the gym. Person behind the desk was not equipped to help me and had to call the gym owner. Overall pretty bad experience.
Alice AI rent 12 Uhaul’s a year. No ac would not start had to leave and go back 12 hours later to jump a retrieve to drop off for the cost of 400. Disaster!

Deborah RA small bit of wait time as this Pick Up location is primarily a gym - the owner was friendly and was good to work with but basically I handled the pick up myself. After a check in and being given the keys - I was on my own and unfamiliar with what to do. I walked out to the vehicle - logged into U-hauls site online and went thru process of verifying the vehicle ID #, the Licence and some photos of the 4 exterior sides, the mileage, etc before driving off. The only thing was the dolly was not IN the vehicle - so had to go back inside and ask them where it was - as I had that on my contract to rent as well. There was a bunch of furniture blankets - which I didn't request. I was able to retrieve it from a shed outside the gym and toss it in the back of the u-haul.

Lynnette CU-Haul seemed buttoned up online selling supplies, an app, alerts, etc. but when i arrived the supplies I ordered were not available. I was lucky to grab them from a customer returning a vehicle, there were no boxes to purchase either. No guidance on how to secure objects, etc. the location was convenient. That is all.

janet cIt was said the gas was at 5/8 but when I picked up it was a little less that 1/2. I filled the gas back up to half tank and when I returned it they said I didn’t put enough gas in it. Take a picture of where the gas is because I had to pay and extra $63 for the gas when it was not correct. Other than that my experience was very good.
